Maybe we could have the indoor furniture be outdoor furniture so that it could serve double duty on the patio even! I absolutely LOVE that the microwave is low. Even though I am tall (5'10") every time I use mine, I fear a mishap when pulling out hot food from my microwave perched above the stove. I don't mind the fact that this does not have an oven. I haven't used mine in at least three years because I find a way to cook EVERYTHING outside so that food odors, heat, and unneeded moisture are not in the camper. The table looks very similar to the one we use now when camping and is truly multi-functional with the varying heights. I like that there is clothing storage at the foot of the bed and not just at the sides as many have. I can certainly see some possibilities for this one even though we don't have ANY toys!😄

Great job and great rv! Understated, capable, enormous, elegant and quality built assured with that Grand Design name. I like that there are no slide outs. Some folks that just want to tour and keep it simple while dragging along their favourite toys can just load up and go. I have been following this channel for a long time now and have been developing my own checklist and wish list and for an old fat bachelor that can see himself with a significant other as well as a bunch of buddies changing from weekend to weekend and if things got real different where a partners kids suddenly needed a place to sleep, THIS could be the best solution to anything that could happen in the next 20 years! This one has my wheels turning as far as making a dream a reality. It can cover a lot of "what ifs". Cheers.
TY Pete! I think they did well on these. Heavy build, big tanks, massive CCC... smart execution of the stuff that REALLY matters for this kind of camping
Why are there different MSRP's at your different locations? What is being added to make that price difference? It needs bigger lp tanks. We would upgrade the tires and suspension. Not a bad rig. Thank you for all you do!

@Josh the RV Nerd at Bish's RV worth mentioning Uncle J, on grand designs website floorplan for this, they mention having a "60×24 backer for gear+helmet" installed where the overhead storage ISN'T that you mentioned. @@wmoscati yeah I was speaking with their factory guy on that yesterday after he saw this video. @Josh the RV Nerd at Bish's RV Absolutely. Same sticker thereabouts as "tv backer" but "gear." I dig it, cuz not all helmets and such would fit in most overhead cabinets, more leeway for the end consumer. Still need that Lippert door though 😜
Loving the adult sized drop down bunk over the dinette/sofas. It doesn't take up space like a traditional bunkhouse, you don't have to convert the dinette/sofa and lug out all of the bedding each night, and it easily lifts up out of the way during the day. Too bad this concept hasn't made it into traditional travel trailers for lazy people like me who want something smallish, simple, and sleeps several people without the fuss. It would be cool to have rear living space with wrap around windows and drop down bunk (as seen in this toy hauler) but without the tie downs, tacky metal legs on the sofas/dinette, and open back patio for the gas station murder hobo to come snatch your kids.
MAX STORAGE!!! Seriously struggling to find camping gear and kids toys to fill the extra space! Also this bunk system is WAY better than the motorized version. Thanks for keeping it real NERD!!!
Yeah I had to do a double take on it. I was like "...am I doing that math right?" And I was. They're just really beefy for heavy loads that way And GREAT holding tank capacities
Sorry i just have to say i just traded my 27MAV for an Actual toy hauler. This one works for bicycles maybe. 4 seater SXS? No. My harley barely fit and the tie downs are in the wrong place for it. That being said it was a decent unit for 2 people.
To quote the eminent Dr. "Bones" McCoy..."Dammit Josh, I'm a doctor, not a proctologist!!!" ( that's from 1 of the episodes)...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣....I'm pretty sure ya know "Unka" Josh that the Doc is in the house...and right near the begining of the video, I had a question pop into my tiny cluttered mind....you point out that there is NO oven and NO option for one, but with all of the modular kitchen appliances out in the uni'sphere , you can purchase a very good size and capable counter top/table top "Toaster" oven/air fryer for less than $300 cdn from any big box store or on Amazon, so it would seem that it almost makes a built in oven redundant , so IMHO, and fully wanting and respecting yours, is a built in needed?...especially if you add a more useful solar package...like 6-800 watts...lmao....then you can run away to the ocean or lake side, and hide away from ...ewwwww...people, and the gas station murder hobos what are out thar lookin' for y'all....anyway, just a wonderin'....peace out Nerd Herd, from Doc, in the Great White( kinda green now) North of southern Ontario, Canada🍁🍁🍁
I 100% agree regarding appliances. You'll see a lot of comments on this video where people mention disliking the lack of oven. I've learned in my years of doing this a large number of viewers or potential buyers really walk in with specific expectations - often shaped based on what they expect to be in a "kitchen" based on a house. But an RV is not a house necessarily and kind of like a hotel room doesn't always need to be equipped the same. Everyone feels differently about that, though. I did some reading on different aspects of the human imagination and found there's actually two kind of people in this regard -- those who can picture things that aren't there or can literally mentally imagine something that isn't there. And those who can only see exactly what is. And they're not usually aware of the other's existence so they get very confused by one another.
Their webite 360 view of this trailer shows it having a slide but it dosent actually have one. Thats so misleading. Put a slide on it and a 3 season door and Im a buyer.

I would totally believe that name, it's catchy.
Hahaah
Josh can you please do a review on the Palomino 1910 truck camper. Thanks for all the information.
Possibly. I don't see many truck campers. I'll keep an eye out for them
Superbe
Only Josh can nearly make you spit out your drink 15 seconds into a video. Murder Hobo action vehicle 😂😂😂😂
Great video as always Josh!
hahaha :)
Appreciate the drings. Jiggle-banging a 4 seater UTV could end up badly.
facts!
Why are there different MSRP's at your different locations? What is being added to make that price difference? It needs bigger lp tanks. We would upgrade the tires and suspension. Not a bad rig.
Thank you for all you do!
Great question. Shipping costs vary and they're part of that equation
Are 3 season patio doors an option?
They are not. I discuss that during the exterior portion of the video if you'd like more information.
Where does the generator go? That’s a decent amount of extra weight to throw on the tongue.
Does not have on-board allowances. It's like the step before a true full on toy hauler that way
Need fireplace, love it, checks all the boxes that I d like in my current toy hauler/trailer
Where do you think would be a good place to fit one?
Add a three-season door and lower the GVRW by 955 lbs (to make it under 10,000 lbs) and it would be just about perfect.
👍🏻 ty
my only hard hit is the outside speakers give me a Potabe Bluetooth speaker 10 xs better sound quality that a person can move around and two less leak points on the sidewall
I’m with ya
Can Bish’s add a sewer holder tube to any RV we buy from you?
Certainly
13:09 hey uncle Josh, what’s your opinion on those retractable shower doors? Do they hold up fairly well? Thanks again for the fan flipping tastic videos. !!!!!😅
I lack personal experience with them and don't feel qualified to offer insights as a result
I had my eye on the jayco 265, but this looks like it suits me much better! Too bad is ~15k more money
yeah the extra size and things like bigger holding tanks add up a bit.
If you live out west, then check out the new 255THW jay flight. might be a good “in betweener”
I like your title option better! When are you going to be selling those RV Nerd hats? We need one!
Last I heard we have our first wave of nerdmerch under production!
That full pull down screen is a lot better than the magnetic shitty hanger type, and is it the camera but the garage doesn't seem too big???
As Always, great presentation brother, thank you!
No generator option is going to be a problem. I love the layout floor plan . So much cabinet space everywhere. Don’t like the No hen, and No Oven . I can live with no ducted ac vents but it’s a must to have 2 ac units
Thank you for watching!
@@JoshtheRVNerdjosh it’s a pleasure watching your videos. It comes with a lot of knowledge, a lot of Info and a little bit of Funny. Don’t know any rv guy that can top you. Have a great afternoon.
That's the first time a colonoscopy make me laf make me laff loooong time 🤣😂🤣
Lololol
Uncle Josh how much is that unit going for
Apologies - I do not know. I don't have pricing files and GD doesn't allow us to publish discounted sale pricing on our website so I have nothing I can reference.
But if you check here www.bishs.com/rv-search?stocknumber=27mav and drop a note to our team on any of those entries, then they can get you discounted price
Hello Josh, is 22MAV review coming soon? Thanks 🎉
Yep!
I would like a flip up breakfast bar and some stools in that open space. That wouldn’t be hard for us to add ourselves.
I like that flip bar idea. Jayco does that in one model
When it comes to half ton towable I'm a firm believer in just because you can doesn't mean you should
Yeah I've had MFGs text me after they see my video on their camper and say "so you WOULDN'T recommend a 32ft trailer that weighs 7200lbs for a half ton? Come on man!"
Yeah.. well.. when your GVWR is approaching 10k and someone is going thru elevations or high winds... it's different vs. flatland Michiana.
Welp, found my camper if they get Lippert to play ball w the door. Ill build a fold down bar table w stools under the main window, and probly take off the kitchen side couch for lounge chairs.... sold.
Awesome! Glad you like it :)
@Josh the RV Nerd at Bish's RV worth mentioning Uncle J, on grand designs website floorplan for this, they mention having a "60×24 backer for gear+helmet" installed where the overhead storage ISN'T that you mentioned. So, I assume GD expects you to add your own variety of hangly dangly storage galorage up there.
@@wmoscati yeah I was speaking with their factory guy on that yesterday after he saw this video. At the time I recorded these videos their sites information wasn't yet complete so I didn't know about that.
I think some kind of easy-peel sticker or something helping people understand what's under that skin in the wall there would be helpful
@Josh the RV Nerd at Bish's RV Absolutely. Same sticker thereabouts as "tv backer" but "gear." I dig it, cuz not all helmets and such would fit in most overhead cabinets, more leeway for the end consumer. Still need that Lippert door though 😜
#NerdHerd 🎉 🎉 😊
TY so much once again! :)
Truma!!!
Folding bar stools all the way up is dinning hite
I like that!
MAX STORAGE!!! Seriously struggling to find camping gear and kids toys to fill the extra space! Also this bunk system is WAY better than the motorized version. Thanks for keeping it real NERD!!!
Always a pleasure!
This doesn't come with those 2 cool chairs that the 22 MAV comes with?
Not that I saw
@JoshtheRVNerd maybe they were missing. They were a nice touch.
Now, that's a cargo capacity. Maybe they can slap a 2970RL on that frame/suspension.
Yeah I had to do a double take on it. I was like "...am I doing that math right?"
And I was. They're just really beefy for heavy loads that way
And GREAT holding tank capacities
Sorry i just have to say i just traded my 27MAV for an Actual toy hauler. This one works for bicycles maybe. 4 seater SXS? No. My harley barely fit and the tie downs are in the wrong place for it. That being said it was a decent unit for 2 people.
I like it. I do hate they removed the fireplace from the prototype.
Yeah this this is nearly completely unrecognizable vs. that original prototype. I was kinda shocked
Had me till no oven and no option for one.
Let’s pass 22MAV floorpan to Ember. 😢 perfect off pavement adventure vehicle with truma / solar and no wood no slide
OPAV
Off pavement adventure vehicle 🚗
🎉#NerdHerd
Did you just say doctor jelly finger? 😮😂
Yeeeeep.
Wait ...what that is a microwave! Out here in the west we call them Bread boxes :D
That’s about all we use them for too
To quote the eminent Dr.
Out of curiosity I just checked that 360. It accurately shows this one as no slide. I'm wondering if perhaps you bumped into a G-Class Momentum vs. a Mav?
@@JoshtheRVNerd nope i just went to the site again. Clicked the toy hauler link then clicked explore button for the mav. Then spun the 360 around on the page and it clearly shows a closed slide. I can send you a screen shot.
@@scottfowler5417 please do because I'm not seeing anything like that on my end..
My wife is short the microwave is in a good spot and we never use our oven
I also like the setup. TY :)
Btw - in my line of work we wouldn't call her short
We'd say she's "Gravity Friendly"
Toy hauler's are missing the opportunity of ditching the cargo area and making the outside into a deck with a normal inside layout.
I agree with this.....someone build it and take my money
I'm not opposed to the idea
agreed! huge market for this
