1000hp out of the z32 is impressive. The supra was generally the preferred car/engine for tuning high hp but the z was always better looking.
1000hp is easy in with a Vg30dett
@@jz-qy9hb not as easy as a jz/rb but we can hold more torque based off the head design. 1000hp vg vs a 1000hp 2j in a race where both can get traction the vg should come out on top
1000whp is a stock bottom end on a vg30dett, not super reliably but definitely possible and not super difficult considering
@@dekhunter148 yeah, the heads aren't great. They build up shit tons of pressure and fail to release it efficiently. Once you build the heads, then the power 🚀🚀🚀🚀

Wow. the car of my dreams since 1990. I dont understand all the fuss about the supra when the z32 was the only car in its class to be featured in car and driver's top ten from 90 to 96 straight. It kills the supra on styling and interior design as well
2JZ fangirls hype it up like the second coming of christ. It's an impressive I6 but it's not even close to the best I6 ever made.
Cuz of fast and furious and then internet popularity later on. Supra’s have become overpriced and more of an internet symbol than anything else now. Still a great car! I just love the Z better. Checks every box ❤️

The Z32 maybe the better stock road car, but for high-performance enthusiasts the Z32 has nothing on the Supra when it comes to actual drag racing records, aftermarket parts availability, reliability, and has Touring car credentials too. It's not about fan-girling, stop projecting yourself on others 😂 it's just facts.
'The VG doesn't like power... stock bottom end is problematic over 900hp' ... erm... ok... I'll take the low power map at 850hp, thanks.
I'm good with 650-750hp as long as it has less lag, less heat soak, and can be run on 91 octane fuel. It's ok to dream 😁

Beautiful Z It's awesome to see the Z is proving itself in these times, is definitely a goal in the near future currently one my builds is stuck at 700hp reliable, and the other is currently at 776hp so what reliable🤑
1000HP is impressive if you are into modifying; personally I'm a purist and believe in keeping the Z32 bone stock. I want to experience the technology of the day; to each their own. The design of the Z32 outside and inside is one of the most amazing and beautiful designs. 25 years later, when I get out of my TT I walk a few steps, stop, turn around and think to myself "Wow, now that is a good looking car"

I’m just now seeing your post about Mike’s ZX and I just had to tell you, I do the EXACT same thing when I park mine 95TT.😂 But I’m worse, I still walk into the garage just to look at it, and I’ve owned it since 96😂😂. You’d love my brother’s, an almost stock(long-block has never been touched) 93TT. Mine, maybe not so much..lol. The interior and exterior completely stock, except the wheels. under the hood, no, not stock, but it does kinda look like it, and it looks great. She’s my 760/730 “sleeper”😊 I sure hope you still have yours and that all is well.
Stock is cool, but I'd want to lightly mod with intake, exhaust, fuel and tune it to 400hp to keep up with modern sports cars.

Wow!! 1,000 hp plus from a V6 300 zx TT !!! 😊 Like, I an busy with my number 300 zx 2+2 TT. My second 300 zx TT was the wildest one I owned. It had over 600 hp at the wheels and was ultra reliable as a daily drive. I had to sell her because the cops knew my car & I as was going broke, supporting the local council ha-ha ........ even when I was not guilty.... hmmm
At 600 hp my 300 zx was almost impossible to drive quietly.
As I know my limitations, I could never own a 1,000 hp 300 zx as a daily drive as I would definitely lose my license. ha-ha

Very impressive Mike. Thats amazing. Would love to get a ride in that. Love the slick top also. Love my 95, but I wish it was a slick top. I think I've had the tops out, maybe three times(?) And I've owned it since 96. It's not the monster you have, but it was enough to school a ridiculously loud ass Hellcat, four times, when he finally gave up, on the highway last Sunday. That was fun. I just finished an almost three year full restoration on it, including a lot of upgrades. Fully built, E85, 2863R turbos, AEM engine management, mechanical lifters, JTW 500 cams, RPS triple disc and so on. I also put a ATI balancer on it. It runs very smooth, but I've run into a problem, it's throwing the power steering belt at high RPM. Not every time I run it, but its happened twice in a little over a month that I've had the car back. I have had two other aftermarket balancers thought the years and never had this problem before, and both of those also used a 3 rib belt also, so that can't be the problem, and it's not like I am running it at higher RPMs than before? Could you please tell me what balancer you have, and if you have any ideas as to what might be going on? I would really appreciate it

I have a custom SHO ford taurus custom electric fan. It's way better than clutch fan. With a Volvo automatic relay. Fan's goes on according to the temps. Fan kicks on at 188F and turns off at 176F the cycle's continues. I love your Z32 keep up the great work!

I bought my hardtop on accident. I didn't even know the Zs were 2 seaters either until i went to go see it. The guy i bought it from makes $ and cause it didn't have bumpers he sold it.

I have Weisco pistons and #4 piston blew the side of it off. It literally broke off inside the engine. You have any idea why it did that?

at 5:20 when he goes around back of the car you can hear the exhaust and it almost sounds like it has a misfire. is that normal ? mine does the same but a little worse and only once its warmed up. what you guys think ? im having high idle issues after messing w tps iacv & throttle bodies , everything's properly adjusted now except the iacv screw. when i try to lower idle through iacv warmed up it makes the slight miss worse.
Have you thought of going big single turbo? I have 450rwkw at 21psi with a twin scroll housing TO4Z. In the dry with 255 tires manaul box it lights up 3rd gear all day. I did 11.2 qtr mile with mickey Thompson 11.5inch drag tires, 1.56 sec 60 foot. Link G4 ecu and launch control.

Comparitvely speaking, the stock VG30 crank girdle is super outdated compared to the newer Nissan V6s, it's nice that BDE looked into these newer style girdles.
Did you use stock ignition coil or your are use in r35 conversion??
So I got my 300zx na is tune but I got a misfire issue u think u can help me solve my problem I bought a new crank angle sensor feel day work perfect but now when I go high Rpms start to misfire so I disconnect the angle sensor and put it bad again and work fine so what is the problem

Your car is really an amazing work of art in the car world but one build i would like to see in a 300zx z32 chassis is a ka24 swap with 1000+hp the car would be so much lighter and be a unique build☺

I bought my 1990 300zx tt around 98, and im in the process now of throwing every dime I get into her, she actually sat for the last 14 years for the most part which is a plus, got her a nice little tune up, and now the fun begins, I wish I had mechanic friends, unfortunately all mine died, the 90s were rough but the cars were fast, I've got a major project on my hands more so thanks to CHUCKS AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES, SIMPSONVILLE, SC long story short FUCKA CHUCKS is my new slogan they violated my interior in ways that would cause grown car enthusiasts to cry, should have sued, gutted is the word, I really didn't want 2 use it though,, before this everything worked after im missing parts etcetcetc😪😪but we shall prevail🙏

Dude its 20k+ easy. Turbo setup alone will be close to 6k. Block prep including line boring the main water passage.....its worth it, tho.

As i have said MANY time and i will say it again ...
The Z32 NEVER made it to the street racing scene in the 90's and 2000's. The car was HEAVY, it was hard to work on and when guys tried to up the boost or swap the turbo's, they would blow the engine.
So the 200sx and the 240sx is what made it to to the scene.
This build here is great but its VERY rare and i don't know any other Z32's with over 500 hp ...
And to get 1000 hp, thats when everyone went to the MKIV Supra ... and didn't have to rebuild the engine either.
But 1000 hp is over kill IMO. 1st is to keep traction and IF you can keep traction, you are at 100+ mph in a split second, i know because my 240sx has 462 rwhp and that girl can hit 100 mph FAST ... There really is NO joy in 1000 hp when its over that fast and had no time to enjoy it.
You don't know about many Z32s then. There is a ton making over 500HP. The difference is the type of owner. Most of the guys with nice Z32s making good power don't go to car meets or car shows. They don't show up in the parking lot doing donuts or blasting music. They're not the typical boy racer that you commonly see in the car scene.

what head bolts are you running? ARP l19 or stock doesnt hold this much powa b4 the heads lift and ruin head gaskets. Be interested to know. I beg to differ on your thoughts of the vg30 bottom end being "weak". I've made just shy of 800 to the tire for the past several years on a factory unopened block on e85. The stock blocks and cranks are said to withstand in the neighborhood for 2k horsepower. Most people who blow up vg engines are ones who don't build them right, or know how to tune properly and cheap out on supporting mods. But whatever, keep perpetuating the idea that vg motors are junk so it keeps the prices low for those who know better 🤣. Awesome build tho brother.

"Weak" is relative. How much easier is it to achieve 1000+hp on RB26 and 2JZ motors compared to VG30s? The race track records speak for themselves, not just dyno queens.
Show a dyno vid of a 300ZX on a VG30 making that 2K hp that you mention then maybe your statement would be believable, otherwise its just he-said she-said bs.

It's not the last of 300 made, just the last 300 imported to the US.... Plenty of purist chassis left in the world for those that want to look at instead of use the car.
Which makes it collectable now and especially in the future. I'm definitely not against modifying a Z32, but I just wouldn't do it on one of these last 300 documented cars. Agree to disagree.
For the love of God do not put an auto trans in that beast!
The auto trans is incredible with this power and the paddle shifters.
I’m a stick shift guy all day. But an auto can be fun too. Drive a new Ford or GM with that new 10 speed. I promise it will change your mind.
