Cheng Zhi, Yuri Suvarov, Benjamin Juma, Ike Dubaku, Abu Fayed, Christopher Henderson, Charles Logan, Habib Marwan, Stephen Saunders, Peter Kingsley, Max, Nina Myers, Victor Drazen, Andre Drazen, Ira Gaines in my opinion makes the Top 15 list of Sons of Bitches in the whole 24 series. The actors who played them should do way more bad guy roles even though some of them have. They all did a great job.

Thanks for this channel. I almost forgot how great 24 is. Could you get the scene from 3x03 when Tony gets shot and from 9x04 when Jack is arrested?
I truly believe that Chloe's son did die because of the Russians. I think they framed it as regular traffic accident so she wouldn't try to find them because they were planning to abduct her the entire time. They needed her to be out there in the open. The Russians clearly started to keep tabs on Jack and Chloe ever since he raided their consulate in season 6. They came to know that Chloe is the one that Jack holds the most valuable in his life. So they targeted her after the events of season 8. I think the Russians had their hands on her getting out of prison because she got at least 15 years sentence for treason and her charge still holds in LAD.
In a twisted way, Chloe and Cheng were intellectually equals. They operated by their intelligence and rationality. Chloe played Adrian really well by pretending her escape attempt because her plan was to play cooperative enough so he would let her near the override device so she could run it useless considering it was created from her intelligence aka her brains. But her ultimate goal was to get herself killed at all cost. Her escape from Cheng was her suicide attempt because she was horrified by what her intelligence can actually do aka the Chinese Shenyang being blown up. She feels that everything she's ever done has all been for nothing so she sees no rational reason to be alive. She sees her own existence irrelevant. Chloe no longer saw any point in life anymore by the time he met her. She felt irrationally responsible for her family's death and she needed to direct her anger at something so she took it out on herself.
Adrian felt that by giving a target to her anger would keep Chloe from complete self-destruct. But Chloe felt let down by Adrian because she thinks he didn't recruit her into Open Cell because he trusted her but that she herself would have some kind of ulterior motive. One thing that Chloe's certainly not is vengeful. She sees revenge completely useless and irrelevant. She's learned it from Jack's killing spree in season 8. She went to work for Adrian because she wanted to. To do something right and to give her own existence a meaning. Chloe most definitely suffered a nervous breakdown when she must've had to go identify her son's body. Chloe didn't love Morris but he and Prescott were still the only family she had. After the events of season 8, Chloe had lost her faith in everything in life and in herself. It would be rational and logical for her to commit suicide. Meeting Adrian at that point in her life was what actually saved Chloe. As for Adrian using her knowledge to create the overrate device, he did it because he wanted Chloe to remain by his side as an outlaw permanently. Maybe some part of Chloe was tempted but she couldn't do it with clear conscience. And her heart was really with Jack. I think Adrian and Chloe are the biggest "What if" duo in the show.
In such moment, when you loose beloved one, it's easier to blame yourself or someone else. Telling yourself you could do something, someone could do something, helps you somehow. If you knew there was nothing that could be done and they should die one way or another, then you can loose your marbles and do something really stupid.

Adrian Cross would've been a much more interesting and compelling final villain than Cheng, who really had no business being a villain in the first place.
