And she did tease that someone major was going to not make it out alive...had no idea it was going to be Audrey...and Mark (Tate Donovan) was right...Audrey did love Jack, even though she was married to Boudreau - and Jack, despite his heartbreak over losing Renee Walker (Annie Wersching) four years prior, still loved her. And I’m sure, as part of his sadness, Jack recalled the pre-presidential conversations between he and James Heller: “You’re cursed, Jack. Everything you touch, one way or another, ends up dead.” “Getting your life back, Jack, isn’t going to change who you are. And you can’t walk away from it. You know that; you’ve tried it. Sooner or later, you’re gonna get back in the game...and my daughter’s going to pay the price...like your WIFE did!” “Jack, I beg you...stop for a moment and THINK! Think, Jack. You won’t be able to take care of her the way you want to.”
Kate could read between the lines what's really going on between Jack and Chloe. Jack's driving force in this season was Chloe. Everything that he did in London was for her, to earn her trust and loyalty back. Chloe really tried to hate him for what he did but she couldn't. Jack has now realized where his heart really lies. Because of her, he now for the first time questions his own methods and beliefs. Kate and Jordan had a similar relationship like Jack and Chloe have. They were like the younger version of Jack and Chloe. It was clear that Jordan had strong feelings for her but it also seemed that Kate also felt something for him. Something more than friendship. She just didn't realize it until his death.
