Trooper Steve on Patrol tracks distracted drivers

Being out on the road and streaming with you live, every single day has placed me more into active traffic situations. During these streams, my frustration has gotten the best of me because of the amount of distracted drivers we are seeing.

Good show. I was recently distracted by one of those blinking, changing huge billboards advertising an upcoming Easter program at a church, maybe 3-4 seconds!! That’s all it took for😂 me to slid into the back of a Cadillac SUV and essentially total my car. My 2006 Honda that was too old to have full coverage and now I have. no car, no transportation at a time in my life (elderly) when I desperately need a car for Dr. Appts! Just saying-an important topic. I never am distracted but WAS for a moment in time!

Where I live, we don’t as soon the light turns green, we have to wait, we have some people that love to run red lights.

First time viewer…….a ❓I noticed you do not have a uniform on, are you on duty? How do drivers know you are a legitimate LEO? In our state a few years ago we had a man who was stopping drivers for a variety of reasons and he assaulted women. This man had a vehicle with lights and etc…enough that he looked like a legitimate LEO. What would you suggest a driver do in a situation where a driver is not sure if a LEO is legitimate??

Yeah bc this definitely isn’t “distracted driving”
