      He didn't tell them just that. He used to say his three goals in life were to be the greatest bodybuilder of all time, the biggest movie star of all time, and to marry a Kennedy. Only the biggest movie star of alll time part is debatable. But...he, at the VERY LEAST...made his mark on Hollywood forever.

      @@davidsavage5630 I don't know about that. Arnold was a pretty established huge action star in the 1990s. Every movie he was in from 1982 to 1994 were pretty much back to back to back hits. He was paid 25 million in Batman and Robin , while George Clooney was only paid 1 million. So yeah he conquered Hollywood alright.

    Man seeing a special screening release of Predator in 2018 was wild! The entire theatre was packed and rightfully so, this film is an instant classic! I have seen the movie many times already before I went to see it in the Cinema and man how happy I was that they were showing it for one night at my local cinema, the cheering, the clapping and people shouting out the quotes before even the line been said was an experinece! 😂 I am glad I was able to see this on the big screen. One of my all time favorite Action/Horror films, they don't make them like this anymore. Also, I have to say Predator 2 is a great sequel and does not get as much appreciation as the first film and I think it should, Danny Glover killed it in that film!

      I will always have a tremendous amount of respect for Arnold. TRULY a self made man. Shows up in California with very little money, some serious dreams and bodybuilding know how and can't speak English. Works out in the EARLY A.M. Works construction all day. Takes acting classes in the evening. Works out again late. Born in poverty. And WILLED himself to be what you see here. It's inspirational. He's not perfect. Nobody is. But seriously...if I'm getting overwhelmed or discouraged...I think about this sort of thing and his positive "always improve" attitude and it helps.

    When I was 11 my mother and father saw this movie and told me about it, but said I was too young to see it. This only intrigued me more and I often asked my mother about it. She was only too happy to tell me more, but not soo much as to devulge the plot if the movie. When I finaly saw the movie, I was hooked. Best hype for a movie ever. Thanks mom love you.

    This is why film critics opinions don't mean shit. Although the film done well at the box office, it got panned by critics for having a lame storyline (What fucking film were they watching), only years later critics started to realise how awesome it was. My best Arnie and action film ever...The only negative are the awful sequels...They were all dreadful and they just got worse and worse.

    • @DominikSobolewski
      @DominikSobolewski 8 лет назад

      +rochstan123 The story isn't that good on it's face value. However, it's the symbolism the characters embody that make the narrative flow.

    I grew up with my dad watching his flicks at the theater and at home.
    He’s a living legend and back in the day this guy was larger than life. There was nothing like going to go see an Arnold flick when it came out.
    Some of my best memories with family was watching his flicks.
    RIP Dad 🙏🏼

    When I was a kid, Predator was already pretty much on "syndication" on channels like TNT. I probably seen it on a console TV I'm sure for the first time lol and many times after that, edited for TV of course. Mid 90s I'm guessing. And I still watch it to this day, now that I can stream unedited it is that much better.
