    Hi erica thankyou again for all your information it's a great help.
    A customer with a massive front and back garden with 4 dogs has asked about the service. How on earth do I go about pricing that kind of job up. I'm charging £12 a yard and £1.50 extra per dog for a standard garden. But this area is huge with plenty of hiding spaces for dogs to do there duty. Thanks!!

    • @KroopinsPoopinScoopin
      @KroopinsPoopinScoopin  4 года назад +1

      Are they asking for a one time clean or a weekly service? How long do you think it will take you? Do you think it will take an hour? What do you want your hourly rate to be? That’s how I usually price large properties. If I think a property is going to take me an hour I charge them at minimum $60

    • @kylesmith5403
      @kylesmith5403 4 года назад

      They are in need of a one time clean and then a weekly service and I would say it would take at least an hour to complete. Would £50 per scoop per week be reasonable to ask from one customer? Would I charge them a one off clean 1st and then a weekly fee of £50? I'm thinking there would be less waste to pickup next time but it's still a large area to walk to cover ground.

    • @kylesmith5403
      @kylesmith5403 4 года назад

      Also I notice most peoples prices mainly just differ on number of dogs. Would it be a good move to charge based on type of house I.e bungalow,terrace,semi detached detached etc.
      Hope your going well

      Genea Sain Thank you for watching! My business started off kind of slow, for the first four or five months I only had about 12 customers or so. I would only do scoops on Mondays and Tuesdays when I first started. Then I dropped down to part time at my hospital job, working 2 10 hour shifts. I worked midnights The entire time. Sometimes I would get off from work at 7 AM and go out and do my yards. Sometimes I would go home and take a three or four hour nap then head out. Once it got to be too much that’s when I drop down to part time, then I eventually decided to transition full-time because it was becoming way too much to scoop and work midnights.
      You need to have a specific day that you scoop on, you can’t be bouncing your house in between days. Customers do not like that.

      Wesley Frank I will say most of my customers Were from Facebook at the beginning. A lot of times people have to see you, see your business and get to know you before they want to invest in you. You are going to their house and scooping their dogs poop, in a weird way it’s kind of an intimate service. Just let them hang out, have fun and eventually they will start biting. Maybe they don’t, but they might tell their friend about you. Just be patient, keep posting, and every time somebody comments, try and respond back... in the beginning this is much easier, but eventually it gets a lot harder. I try to respond back within the first 20 minutes of want to post goes live. Start developing that relationship with them

    Great video. Question, Is the insurance necessary? What if you want to do it on your own?

    • @KroopinsPoopinScoopin
      @KroopinsPoopinScoopin  2 года назад +2

      You won’t need to carry Workmen’s Comp. insurance if you are solo, but you do need to have some type of business insurance. This will cover you just in case something happens and you get sued. Enough to Cover all of your business supplies and your vehicle.
      If you want to start doing corporate accounts such as parks or HOA’s many of them require a minimum insurance amount and that depends on your state.
      At the end of the day you could totally operate with no insurance, no coverage, but then you have no protection when something goes wrong.
      Hope this helped

    • @KroopinsPoopinScoopin
