    Good video...you explained and showed with detail. I have scytek g27 alarm i need to install with scytek GPS module, does the GPS module just plug into the alarm brain box and do i also need to run separate 12 volt to the GPS module?

    Hello! I have the Scytek G5.2W which is supposed to have the same programming procedure as other Scytek systems. I can’t get my system to enter programming mode. Are you supposed to turn on the ignition then hit the valet switch five times?

    • @Change4ADollar
      @Change4ADollar  3 года назад +1

      Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, Within 5 seconds, press the valet switch 5 times, the siren/horn will chirps/honks 3 times. If that don't work check your ignition wire, and make sure it's getting ignition when you turn the key. Is the siren or horn that you hooked up working?

    • @MiltonWATech99
      @MiltonWATech99 3 года назад

      @@Change4ADollar Everything is hooked up just right. I’m getting power to all three positive wires, the ignition wire is getting power and sending it (lights will turn off if I turn the key to the ON position). I’m going to double check all of my connections tomorrow.

    Hey great video.
    I have a older version of a Scytec system. There is 2 wires for door unlock and lock (-). My car has a lock actuator on the driver door only, which is fine. I'm still confused on how I can hook it up. I took off my doors panel and saw which color wires. Should I just tap into these wires? Or is there more I need to know?

    • @Change4ADollar
      @Change4ADollar  3 года назад +1

      Did your car originally come with power locks? Or did someone put a aftermarket actuator just on the driver's door?

    • @estebanescamilla_
      @estebanescamilla_ 3 года назад

      @@Change4ADollar
      Thanks for the reply.
      It came with it. But there was no way to use it. They actuate when the car gets put in park (unlock) and when the car is driving for a short period of time (lock).
      From your videos, it sound like if they are negative actuators then I can just jump the wire to ground to actuate. Should I just try it? Then T tap the respective wire to the Scytek? I'm thinking if they are positive actuator then nothing will happen if I jump to ground, at that point I'll pay for someone to do it.

      Did you ever get this installed? What diodes did you use I bought a pack and there all sorts of them on Amazon. And spliced them with the - on trigger wires and nothing happens when opening the door when alarm armed. Same year 2004 civic. I think I used 4001 1 amp diodes wondering if I need different ones or something

    I have an 08 pathfinder. I'm trying to wire in my remote starter. My car has negative door locks. The door lock switch has a one wire communication line that goes to the bcm and the bcm reverses polarity. Can I wire in a 5 wire relay straight to the driver door lock actuator to reverse polarity. And will it affect the operation of the bcm?
