hello Mr darkdragonwing,we can give you one smart phone car alarm with engine start stop button, value is almost 200usd,can you take a similar video for us? www.szcardot.com this is our official website, our brand is cardot, thanks
Well, So much for the bright idea of doing this myself. Now hopefully I can find someone I can trust not to tear up my beautiful car and to do the job right. This kid knows his shit.
You know you gotta pay a huge amount for the labor with a great amount of time and hardwork that's been put up on a job like this. How I wish I or someone here in our place has your skill.
Appreciate your videos! Just put the same alarm in my 93 Accord and your video was perfect! Thanks man! Keep up the good work! I do a lot of stereo work but this was my first alarm install and it went perfect thanks to your help!
You are best !!! I am 15 and I am from The Czech republic... Your videos are extremely important and I am exited of you ... Good Luck for more videos and cars !!! 😊😊
darkdragonwings, I really appreciate this video. Thanks to people like you we can do it ourselves and save money. Please keep posting up videos. Thanks again.
Good job on the install. Wrapping the wires with a drill makes everything so neat. A couple suggestions, get yourself some wire strippers, using scissors is a pain. I also noticed that you tied up all the unused wires to the alarm unit. One thing I have been doing recently is removing the pin from the connector for my unused wires, so there is way less wires that need to be tied up. You can usually remove the pin from the harness using a pocket screwdriver or a pick tool.
+Michael Williams Good ideas! Though for the unused wires, I tend to keep them because they might be useful if I wanna hook them up for controlling the windows and stuff. cheers
+DarkDragonWing when I take the wires out of the harness, I just put them back in the box with the manuals and such. So if there comes a day that I need to hook up another accessory, I can just clip the wire I need back into the harness, and have the wire and manual together to tell me where it goes.
nice job guys! thank you for taking time making this video, the only thing I don't like is when you twist those wires :) does not look nice when they are twisted, especially with a drill machine :)
great! easy instalation you are good for install , but i recomend to use a tape for harneses and for a single cables , looking beeter more profesional thanks!!!
Thought this was crazy hard Did it myself on my '03 civic really wasnt that hard Hardest part is locating your cars specific wites based off a online list
+2cwik4u104 Yes, I use them from time to time. I'm trying to figure out how to not use the tape at all but I can't. Like when I tap into a wire in a car you know, I can't really put a tube in it unless I cut the wire in half and reconnect, but that's not very good thing to do.
try using 3m rubber splicing tape 23 it looks a lot better if your gonna use electrical tape. plus it's water tight and seals to itself and being stretchy you can use less tape and get a nice tight water proof fit around each wire.
excellent work friend, one question the alarm was left with the original honda safety actuators and could you provide me with the wiring diagram the link you left seems down
Yes, original alarm and safety are left on the car. You can find free wire diagrams here www.commandocaralarms.com/wiringsearch.asp Or pay to see here wirecolor.com/en/
Hi, I heard that this brand is bad. I seen reviews on Amazon that the FOB breaks and people have a lot of issues with it. Can you give us an update on if it is still working? Thanks
@@DarkDragonWing Thanks for the video. I am going to buy a cheaper Banvie alarm for my 99 Civic LX. Too many bad reviews on the SP-502. Also, their tech support line doesn't work if you call. But your video taught me how to install the alarm!
+suhayl mulang 6 hours. It would be less time if I didn't have to film it. Here is the video for the Lancer. You can use SP-502 and it is the same wires and everything: ruclips.net/video/PhBxvWhBlRg/видео.html
Very cool video bro!i am a big fan since your working at your lancer' I got question though do you have to disconnect your battery before installing oem alarms?thxs!
Thanks! Yes, you can disconnect it for safety purposes, and if you need to test something, you can plug it back in. I usually don't disconnect it, but you gotta know what you're doing first. The worst thing that could happen would be you blow up a fuse or melt a wire. But if you're carefully, you won't have any problem. cheers
phdm civic ek has a connector extension/adaptor besides the ignition switch harness itself.. it’s where we tap wires easily besides the option connectors for 12v source (bat+ or constant 12v, acc, ign1 and ign2) leaving the ignition switch harness untouch.. unfortunately i can’t find the oem parts code in any parts diagram..

It doesn't even seem that difficult, but that's A LOT of work, like a lot of wires. You most certainly don't wanna fuck any of them up
Hands down best alarm tutorial I’ve seen for a civic. If you guys are getting confused don’t blame him or yourself, this is a tedious job
Such an amazingly detailed video for such a complicated task.(in my opinion) Perfect camera angles, quick, straight to point, well done.
This edit makes it looks so simple but I know it would take me days to install, haha
This video was the only video detailing which wire harness and which wires to splice into. thank you. haha

HOly shit, would not have thought that would need so many wires. Dang! Great job!
Hahah wtf press the button 14x ?!?!
I stopped halfway and said I’m taking it to the shop, but finished the video anyway to see how it’s done 😃
God job man! Keep it like this, maybe i will learn from this video to install it by my self

I agree with what you said about twisting wires, but it is nice for management and not having to deal with them getting tangled in other things.
You are so Awesome! Love your channel as well.
I love how he kicked the car.
Nice!!! keep up the good work that looked like a tough challenge to me
Hats off to you man. Well done!

Excellent job man.
You ever done older Mercedes benz? They got pneumatic locks

this Video is so Good
As a tip for anyone doing an alarm install generally, just detach the cables for the features you aren’t using for a cleaner install!
I will have to do a cleaner install next time :)

If the FOB breaks, then just buy a new FOB. The person must have sat on it. lol There is no problem so far. amzn.to/2Uyp5oz
