Plot twist possibility: what if it wasn't Ruby's mother that left her at the church, but Ruby leaving herself there so she could eventually meet the Doctor?
So in the marketing, and internally it's referred to as Season 1, but a lot of media and entertainment news sites (and wikipedia!) are still calling it Series 14, and Russell T Davies has used both terms in interviews. Personally, I think the next showrunner will come along and ignore the new Season titles.
Wikipedia actually had a whole big discussion about it, and the result of that discussion was: Undecided/Inconclusive. And so Series 14 stayed simply because it was first. The (new) Tardis Wiki however did change it to Season 1, the old Tardis Wiki on Wikia/Fandom is still Series 14; but the admins abandoned that one for the new one.

I can understand a lot of the folks who found this episode mid, but I think I was just so charmed by how much the Doctor and Ruby just loved being there for babies. And then considered the bogeyman too, as a child not to be left behind. Just hit a note for me.
I watched this season with my dad (bit of a doctor who purist, an old fan) and he was pretty skeptical and negative on the series. Rewatching it now with you guys has been pretty satisfying for me, since you all are so positive and optimistic. I like the direction this season takes, and I'm loving the reactions.

Also, Nscuti corrected everyone about his name: n-shoo-tea. XD HIs own mom apparently corrected him at 26 years old to tell him how to pronounce it right. Lol.
So the new season numbering is weird, because for all intents and purposes, this carries on Nu Who, the rebrand to S1 is mainly for international viewers I think who’ll be watching this through Disney Plus, and new viewers of course.
Is it bad that I thought the babies were gonna go evil or they’d all be killed by the end ? Seriously I think there is something wrong with me. I forget how wholesome doctor who can be . I love the dark and twisted episodes but this was fun.

The Doctor didn’t make it snow but someone did and you’ve met them, spoilers. This season is going to be so good, something Is coming, something old, older than the Doctor, older than recorded time.
