If your thinking of coming to Prime Inc or want to get your CDL license. I honestly believe Prime is a solid company to start your trucking journey. Make sure when you fill out the online application @ www.primeinc.com put my driver code STREXA on page 2 of the application when it ask who referred you. Thanks for watching my video 🙂🤙💯
I transport dry bulk cement and chicken feed locally/short regional. My company took me straight after I graduated so i was thankful. The money is nothing to brag about but its fine for me for now. I already have my X endorsement and am thinking about hauling fuel locally after about 1 year. Hoping the pay will be better then what I’m getting now. Im still a rookie so I know these things dont happen overnight.
Hey Rex!, nice channel men, thanks for all info, just want to ask… y see you have changed trucks couple of times… do you recommend the peterbilt or what truck you will select with the experience now, 2nd Edible or Pet… or both?? Thanks men
I know I am a year late. But man that plant sure doesn’t care about their truckers. Putting pallets down to walk on is a good way to get a messed up knee or ankle. They should relocate the piping so you are not backed into a sloped area that holds water
Each one of those do gears is a fine and out of service and your Chicago fitting was open even tho you wasn't airing off that's also a fine just a FYI I know your going to the tank Wash but had a office tell me that nicely in AZ but it was hazmat also no food grade
Dog digest, it is basically grinded up chicken guts & fats which is used to make dry dog food. The liquid is sprayed on the kibbles to give it flavor and taste etc....
What do you mean by the pump is in reverse? Is the pump sucking back into the tank or sucking back into the customers valve when reversing? Also when recording which way do you have the handle, pushed in or pulled out? Rookie prime question haha
Usually when the handle is pulled out (away from truck) it is offloading into the customer’s tank however sometimes the hoses get replaced and get swapped… when I reverse the pump I’m sucking what’s left in the hoses back inside my tanker trailer, I hope this helps ya! 👏💯
Question. If I wanted to join the tanker side of prime how would I go far as applying? I have no CDL. what are the steps for joining the tanker side? Love the channel Rex!
You will have to first take your CDL permit test (computer based) at your local DMV and let them know you want your tanker endorsement also.... After you pass your CDL permit test... Go to Prime's website and apply online... Hope this helps 👏
Did u like ur Pete/have any issues with it?? I really like the Pete's, but since getting here to Prime, I've heard ALOT of drivers complaining bout ALL the down time on the Pete cause of Mechanical/electrical issues. As to wher the freight-shakers seem to not have soo many issues or bein down long- waitin on hopein to get wutevr part(s) they need to get wutevr fixed & get bak on the road. I'm doin flatbed, but still in "TNT" & tryin to get sum knowledge on the different trucks for when/if I decide to go lease after 6months to a year of runnin solo
I gotcha, well if you get a Pete just get one with 100K plus miles because all the kinks will have already been worked out. Had a ton of issues / downtime the first 15-50K miles was down probably close to a month of breakdown 1st 4 months of having my Pete… switched to a mid-roof Freightliner. Hope this helps! Those Pete’s ride smooth and got all the bells and whistles though 🙌💯
Usually at the receivers I'd rinse them out. Since they were doing construction and the water supply was shut down i just had the tank wash clean them 👏💯
Once you get a year of experience I recommend leaving. I stayed at prime and completed me lease and left to find another job only to find out that W2 tanker jobs where paying much more than what I was making at prime as a lease op. After all of my expenses as a lease op I would take home around 67k a year. At the current job I'm at I I take home 90k a year and only sleep in the truck 2 times a night. Also the lease is a bad deal. Prime simply buys trucks from the dealer and leases them to drivers for a up charge. By the end of the lease you paid 200k for a truck for them to take it from you and sell for 100k while you get nothing. If you don't believe me please talk to one of the sales reps when your at a Pete dealer getting serviced. You can also look up what your truck cost and what the monthly note would be, you will find its almost half of what prime is actually charging you.
It's all relative. I slept at my house every day when pulling doubles as a company driver for XPO and I was making 120k+/yr. .741cpm & $34.18/hr. You'll always try and chase more money without actually ever finding what makes you happy to do the job.
@@jayson1270 That's cool but paying for a truck to make less than a company driver is insane. There's loving what you do and then there's being taken advantage of
100% understand what you’re saying bro! I’m always keeping my eyes open an👂listening. I’m currently on track to make between 105-115K (Net after ALL expenses) and home every other weekend. Been home the last 4 weekends in a row! Not bad for a ROOKIE 👏✌️💯
@@truckingwithrex You got a better setup than me then. If I was home every weekend I'd take home less than a thousand a week lol. I had to stay out for 30 days and go home a week to make the business make since. Glad you found your lane there because in 4 years I never could
When i took my CDL permit test i requested my tanker endorsement... So it was an additional online test, 20 questions, get 16 correct to pass... I don't have my Hazmat.. currently YTD is making $2100 a week (that's the net amount in my pocket). i hope this helps ya out! 👏💯🚛🛣️

Lol at the beginning u was rolling and everything going smooth then bam! Can't get fuel in that bay. I felt the frustration there. Ruined the mood a lil bit there
I don't own it, just leasing it or you can call it renting lol... I get paid 71% of the load haul. Percentage based for lease drivers vs company drivers get paid per mile. Hope this helps 👏💯

Good morning, I would like to know if I am a Brazilian with more than 15 years of experience as a driver and if the company has a program to bring a driver from Brazil
I hauled milk tanker for 29yrs and I know all about the "surge" ( in the milk business we called it slop). Does Prime ever do any milk hauling? Thanks and God Bless!
I have a secret over the counter and it works better than any prescriptions... Pick up 1000mg beet root pills from Walmart, the brand is called spring valley.. take 3 in the am and 3 before bed... It'll drop you down to 120/80 in 1 day

Did I miss something, when did you get a new truck?
Do prime use 2 inch or 3 inch hoses? Or both? I been doing tankers 12 yrs. All chemicals!
3” sometimes receivers have 2” inlet so I gotta run a 3X2 reducer to pump off
What do you mean by the pump is in reverse? Is the pump sucking back into the tank or sucking back into the customers valve when reversing? Also when recording which way do you have the handle, pushed in or pulled out? Rookie prime question haha

Less downtime (breakdowns) better fuel mileage, better turning radius. I prefer the Pete but I made less money because of breakdowns. Hope this helps!

Hey Rex, I’ve been a reefer driver with prime for 15 years. How much overnight parking is available at your shippers and receivers? Thx
I deal with about 25-30 different shippers and receivers on the inedible side. 3 of them don’t allow overnight parking
That Pete is nice! What year & model is it?
R u an owner opp … what type of tanker , how long is the training for how often is the driver out for what are the truck gov at ..
