If your thinking of coming to Prime Inc or want to get your CDL license. I honestly believe Prime is a solid company to start your trucking journey. Make sure when you fill out the online application @ www.primeinc.com put my driver code STREXA on page 2 of the application when it ask who referred you. Thanks for watching my video 🙂🤙💯
I like your views on your family. I don't have any kids but someone once told me a man's job is to Provide, Protect and Sacrifice for his family. If you can do that your making the world a better place.
I pulled an asphalt tanker for a few years and I really liked it but man was it an unhealthy lifestyle. We ran hard, only stopping to unload and reload and sometimes we got to sleep for a few hours, but that was years ago. Y'all have it really good now, not being pushed to run. I pull flatbed now and have for several years and I enjoy it. I do miss the tanker yankin' though.
Hey...just FYI...the ABS light on only means the anti-locking brake system isn't working. However, it does not affect your braking and is no safety issue. At worse, I would just write it up so a shop can repair the problem at a later date. Hope that helps and saves you time in the future!
Waiting for free is a major disadvantage, the company is looking for the best load to haul, more for them and more for the driver. Not getting cleaned on the down time also sucks, it is what it is. All the best to you and your family.
You mentioned in another video about maybe getting the connectors so you could do both food grade and inedible so you could get more loads. Did they ok that?
Don't you have to do a trailer drop and pickup notice to Prime when leaving or picking up a trailer someplace. If so then it should say in their system that a trailer has been picked up so you dont have to look for a non existing trailer at your last drop. Just curious, this would be very helpful to drivers.
@@truckingwithrex sounds like a hiccup in the system. Whoever drops the trailer, the system should show them still connected to it technically unless they are assigned a new trailer or have to leave the trailer to pickup a different trailer for some other reason.
Ya that’s no lie the second time I’ve had it!! Hey since u are new to the area if u get back home check out flat creek in republic mo they have some really good food there.
Good luck getting a load my hats off to ya I’m 34 have a wife and two little girls at home this lifestyle isn’t for everybody but if u can handle it being gone and dealer with shitty traffic and shippers and receivers that don’t really care about your time u can make some good money….have a good evening I’ll let ya go and keep up the videos man god bless!
Yeah tell me about it, it was at a Petro repair shop, took 3 different mechanics to find the issue. I was otr away from the prime shop and home didn't have a choice.
@@4WideTrucking Honestly I thought it was funny. They called me and said "your trailer is empty". I didn't find my trailer so i flagged the yard dog down. He said another driver took it. As i was leaving i saw you with it 🤣. We're good, be safe on the road.
@@truckingwithrex yeah if they didn’t tell me to take the empty when I dropped it would have been fine. I thought it was funny that @ComVet called me and told me you called me out for trailer thieving lol also the fact there’s comments on here calling me out as well is even funnier lol

Yes ! It's still true, Life is Is like a box of chocolates, you don't know what your gonna get.
how's the working hours on tanker? Are they mostly daytime pick-up and drops or all hours like reefer?
Mostly daytime hours 7am-6pm, some shippers and receivers are 24hrs but it's not like reefer.
You mentioned in another video about maybe getting the connectors so you could do both food grade and inedible so you could get more loads. Did they ok that?
Picked up food grade fittings, ill let you know how it goes. No food grade load yet

Yes correct but i wasn't notified someone grabbed my trailer the receiver called said your trailer is empty and someone else grabbed it

Haha, Kyle got you. It's not funny, just funny when you drove by.
Rex can you set up the prime app on your personal phone or do you have to use theirs
It’s on my personal phone, prime doesn’t provide any work cell phone.
Bro, you waited 37 hours for an ABS light issue? W H Y? That’s just silly.

Make sure u get lay over pay Rex

Giant puddles usually mean "deep".
How much time do you spend bobtailing?
Not very much, only bobtailing after i drop off a dirty trailer in Springfield and pick up loaded in Aurora, MO or Verona MO which is an hour away.
Wutz up man,is your rig automatic transmission or Manual??
Auto
@@truckingwithrex 10-4
What is your home time like with prime tanker division
Out 10-14 days then home for 2 days usually
Well…….. if mars didn’t say anything about an empty and you went to Tomah Wi you would of had your trailer emptied when I showed up 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
You’re using personal conveyance wrong there bud. You can’t PC to progress loads.
10/4 rookie mistake.. Prime has already spoken to me regarding this
@@truckingwithrex oh I gotcha bro. Been there with PC a few times myself. I think it’s a right of passage for everyone.
Why are wasting time on a abs light?

😂
@@truckingwithrex I didn’t take it on purpose. Mars made me take it since it was empty at 1am. I said fuck it and went to bed.
