It is amazing to see the way Justin approaches songs - being a fantastic guitar player himself he treats each song in a humble way to really do it justice and figuring out nuances...for me that's the really amazing part in his videos! Just great work Justin!!!!

I was already sold on your material but with this, I think you've become my go-to person for guitar.
I always recommend John Frusciante for guitarists, he really covers the guitar from entirely different angles, and to learn that he's one of your favorite guitarists has just earned my loyalty to you.
I'll be looking forward to learning as much as I can from your material. Cheers, mate.

I really love the way you speak about John. It lends credence to your teaching when it is apparent that you understand the genius behind the composition and that it isn't just notes. Thank you so much for this tutorial--I have been playing music for 20 years (cello and piano) but picked up a guitar for the first time less than a year ago because of this song (and all of John's RHCP music, really). I finally felt like I had become skilled enough to learn this properly recently and this is by far the best video of it on RUclips. It also led me to check out a lot of your other videos and I am so glad for that. Bravo.

Yep he gets John... well all the peppers actually - the notes they don't play really stand out, making room for the other guys.

I've been very busy and It's been a while that I don't really play the guitar as frequently as I used to. But I'm very grateful to Justin for a lot of what I know. I don't know how many years I've been watching his videos and reading his lessons, but It's almost since I started learning the basic chords and scales. Every time a new video comes up I feel like picking up the guitar and playing as I used to. Very talented guy and awesome teacher! Thank you very much!

In the chorus he doesn't fully lift off the E-major. He plays:
    e - 0
    b - 0
    G - 0
    D - 1
    A - 1
    E - 0

    • @JustinGuitarSongs

+dirkthes2s so all the crappy tab sites say, but not sure it sounds like that, or looks like that in live videos I've seen!

    • @dirkthes2s
      @dirkthes2s 8 лет назад

+JustinGuitar Songs The official songbook says so, too. I always thought it sounded right, but I can not even closely compete with your ear. Still think it's right though.
watch?v=Bj3a9PIScjU at 2:32 his left hands looks like it... well, okay the quality is not good.

    6thumb
    5ring
    4pinky
    3middle
    2first
    1first
