It is amazing to see the way Justin approaches songs - being a fantastic guitar player himself he treats each song in a humble way to really do it justice and figuring out nuances...for me that's the really amazing part in his videos! Just great work Justin!!!!
I was already sold on your material but with this, I think you've become my go-to person for guitar. I always recommend John Frusciante for guitarists, he really covers the guitar from entirely different angles, and to learn that he's one of your favorite guitarists has just earned my loyalty to you. I'll be looking forward to learning as much as I can from your material. Cheers, mate.
I really love the way you speak about John. It lends credence to your teaching when it is apparent that you understand the genius behind the composition and that it isn't just notes. Thank you so much for this tutorial--I have been playing music for 20 years (cello and piano) but picked up a guitar for the first time less than a year ago because of this song (and all of John's RHCP music, really). I finally felt like I had become skilled enough to learn this properly recently and this is by far the best video of it on RUclips. It also led me to check out a lot of your other videos and I am so glad for that. Bravo.
Thank you for this Justin, incredible song. One of the best lessons I've seen. Not just for learning wet sand but understanding how to use scale notes to join chords. Thanks again.
I've been very busy and It's been a while that I don't really play the guitar as frequently as I used to. But I'm very grateful to Justin for a lot of what I know. I don't know how many years I've been watching his videos and reading his lessons, but It's almost since I started learning the basic chords and scales. Every time a new video comes up I feel like picking up the guitar and playing as I used to. Very talented guy and awesome teacher! Thank you very much!
Keep up the good work Justin, been self teaching for the past year or two when I got time and would never have learnt so much if it wasn't for your amazing videos. Hope I can be nearly as good as you one day , respect bro
Great lesson. John is fantastic guitarist and it's good to learn his stuff. interesting and not always that hard. Thank you Justin, you are such a fantastic teacher, and with lots of positive vibes. always a pleasure to watch you. Thank you

Can you make with the bass??? Your way of teaching is pretty easy to chatty up with ‘’& I love to learn about soul to squeeze, sir psycho & more of rhcp bass
Great lesson as always Justin. As a suggestion for the chorus, though, during the C to E. I think he does a slide up a semitone lower on the E everytime
Still waiting the solo part. Feel free to show us your own version. It will be great anyway. your goddamn good too! deeply love from italy ah! and #morerhcp
hey justin, super interested in a tutorial for princes song I wanna be your lover. could u consider making a simple arrangment of that and do a tutorial?!!! ill pray!
+JustinGuitar Songs The official songbook says so, too. I always thought it sounded right, but I can not even closely compete with your ear. Still think it's right though. watch?v=Bj3a9PIScjU at 2:32 his left hands looks like it... well, okay the quality is not good.
+JustinGuitar Songs I don't remember exactly where, but onece I saw in a live that he was playing exactly what dirk said. And ant the time I still didn't know any tab of the song, so I'm surely not influenced by this :)
Hey Justin, I love your videos, they help me a lot as well as your book. But from time to time I'm just tired of practicing and I stop playing and when I pick up the guitar again it's like starting all over again. Do you have any tips for me that keep me practising?

Yep he gets John... well all the peppers actually - the notes they don't play really stand out, making room for the other guys.

Great lesson once again ;)
great lesson Justin but John plays arpeggios in the outro not the bar chords, you can see that when he played the song in fuji rock 2007 in Japan
Thanks man!
Great lesson as always Justin. As a suggestion for the chorus, though, during the C to E. I think he does a slide up a semitone lower on the E everytime

8:49 john is sliding from first fret to second
Noticed this in one video but wasn't too sure, thank you :)
Justin I got a fever and the only prescription is more solo
Can you break down the live at slane castle intro and solo in a video. I'd appreciate it
No Prince tribute, Justin? I thought teaching Purple Rain would be a nice tribute.
In the chorus he doesn't fully lift off the E-major. He plays:
e - 0
b - 0
G - 0
D - 1
A - 1
E - 0
+dirkthes2s so all the crappy tab sites say, but not sure it sounds like that, or looks like that in live videos I've seen!
+JustinGuitar Songs The official songbook says so, too. I always thought it sounded right, but I can not even closely compete with your ear. Still think it's right though.
watch?v=Bj3a9PIScjU at 2:32 his left hands looks like it... well, okay the quality is not good.
+dirkthes2s could be, the video seems to show something like that... maybe JF will let us know one day ;)
+JustinGuitar Songs I don't remember exactly where, but onece I saw in a live that he was playing exactly what dirk said. And ant the time I still didn't know any tab of the song, so I'm surely not influenced by this :)
I love that warm bassy tone. What amp are you playing thru?
maybe ''Meet Me At The Corner'' or any IWY song next if you are planning to do any other RHCP song?
Hey Justin, I love your videos, they help me a lot as well as your book. But from time to time I'm just tired of practicing and I stop playing and when I pick up the guitar again it's like starting all over again. Do you have any tips for me that keep me practising?
