Thanks for being you. A spotless kitchen will not make your food taste any different. You and your family being real is what makes me watch for the next video.
Thanks Candy :)
amen!
exactly!!!

Awesome video Jeremy! Please do not stage your kitchen for your videos! I find watching you prepare recipes in an everyday regular, family flowing in and out kitchen makes me happy. I find it encouraging and relatable. Especially sometimes seeing that yes…sometimes there are dishes in the sink already while dinner is being prepared! Ty!
I think most people feel that way - and the ones that don't - there are other channels for them :)
For the grocery haul, no need to shoot in public. I like how Ami (Broccoli Mum) does it, where she just lays it all out and shows us what she got when gets home. Grocery hauls help to see what kinds of foods WFPB eaters are using to make their dishes, so even if we don’t make the same dishes, seeing ingredients we hadn’t thought of before to add to our own established recipes can be helpful. Maybe just do one a month and see how you like it? 💚
THis is helpful - Thanks Issa!
I am glad that you aren't going to change Jeremy. We like your channel and family just the way you are. There are plenty of channels out there that have what some people are looking for, but we all like the way you are!
Thank you :)
and this is why i love your channel! you are so real..:))
awww - thank you :) @@marly1869
Grocery hauls - It is nice to see what other people buy as staples, it can give us ideas about trying something different and it is just entertaining to see. I like when the items are laid out on the counter or table and arranged by type, not pulled from a grocery bag. Food is my hobby!
Great info - thank you!!!!
@@pbwithjeremyI agree with this person’s thoughts on grocery hauls.
Well said!!
This is exactly what I was going to say. As someone who is interested in food, anthropology, I love seeing what other people buy, and what’s available in other areas.
I travel a great deal, and sometimes we use Airbnb, then we shop locally and cook some of our own meals. I find it very helpful to know what’s available in an area.
Yours is the only WFPB channel I consistently watch. It’s so REAL. And you’re wonderful at creating interesting videos!
Oh wow - thank you!
Love your channel and your family.
Every once in a while the world feels really small... I saw Montcrest clothes on your family, and was stunned. I was a Montcrest girl from kindergarten till end of grade 6, back when the kilts were that terrible tartan. Katherine Livingston was principal.
Back to what matters though. Your videos are genuine and wonderful. I bought the 4 cook books you recommended at the end of the year, love them all, you gave good taste.
You have a beautiful family, please ignore nonsense comments about cleaning your kitchen etc, etc. You're not a cooking show, you're a real family making WFPB work for you while living busy lives.
Plant Based Dads dude comes across as bossy while you come across as a genuine and kind human being, I love that you're a male doing these videos in a predominantly female "industry."
You're showing how this diet can work in everyday life, not showing fancy recipes that one would only have time for on weekends, you help make this lifestyle seem sustainable as something permanent, and not just as a short term thing.
Looking forward to your future videos and recipes!
Oh wow! Small world!!! Woolie is a teacher at Montcrest - she's been there for quite some time, what year did you graduate???
Thank you for all these lovely comments!!!
I so agree with your answer about oils and fats
OMG your patience responding to these questions!!!plant-based diet side effect: tolerance😂
Haha - my pleasure!
You don’t have to film yourself at the store, you can show us what you bought and why at home before you put your groceries away. It’s interesting to see regional differences in food. It’s entertaining to see how others live this style. Thanks again for this video. I’m the only plant based person in my life , so I like the support and recipe ideas from your and other WFPB channels.
Thanks for this perspective!
I’m not interested in a grocery haul video, but I would like more of a batch cooking video where the batched food gets used in multiple dishes for the week.
But, I just love watching your videos almost whatever you do. 🥰
Thanks Peggy!!!
Loved listening - kinda like having a chat with a friend! Please keep doing these. I am not really interested in a grocery haul myself… maybe a pantry staples video if that’s a thing. Really I like all your different types of videos. You’re so real and relatable. You are enough!😂😂👍
AWwww - thanks Susan!!!
Lol, whose kitchen isn't messy and dirty sometimes! I hate feeling like I have to clean up the kitchen to film a video and I admire the fact that you don't. Honestly, I don't clean it very well, I just hide things until the filming is over. But I have a small kitchen with very little counter space, so I need to clean it, just so I have room for the food I'm cooking!
Same! I just push things out of the way usually :)
What a fun and funny video. Love it.
Somewhat of an extension of the coaching thought, I think a fun video or series would be to actually go and "clean up" someone's kitchen. Find someone that wants to make the commitment and get rid of all the bad stuff. You could take them on a grocery run and show them all the alternatives out there and also show what might need to be ordered online. It would be an ingredient/diet makeover!
Thanks for the idea! My *dream* would be to take a group of a few people and work with them over several weeks/months and document the process. Once the channel grows and allows me to do that financially I will :) It will happen :)
Love your channel, all your videos and your messy chaotic kitchen! What a ridiculous question/comment that your kitchen is dirty. After all, Woolly’s always running water and washing dishes. 😜🤣 I agree that is why so many of us follow you, we can relate, life is messy. ❤️
Haha - it's true - she's always cleaning! :) Thank you for the lovely words!
I love your suggestions about being kind, empathetic and understanding. We need those characteristics so very much in the world right now. I love your videos, your lovely family and your attitude!!
My kitchen is a mess, my kids are loud and we laugh high and clare a loooot. Is just life, enjoy people! Love your channel, you work and your familu. Thanks for all the work you do❤
Love this. Thank you!!!!
Hiya Jeremy and family! You have a wonderful thing going on here. I am a Reg. Holistic Nutritionist living in London ON. I discovered your videos while looking for WFPB recipes. I watched that first one and LOVED the warmth, honesty, wholesomeness, information, recipes, and of course the funny and charming family. I would say you live by what we call the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time you eat what you know will feed and nourish your body, and 20% is feeding your soul. I’m really impressed with the way you dealt with “the trolls”. Some people for whatever reason, feel because they have a keyboard under their fingers, can type whatever they wish, and phooey on manners or common courtesy. Thank you to you and your wonderful family for opening up your home and sharing your knowledge time, and life with us.
P.S. I don’t mind the cussing…lol
Yours in health,
Donna-Marie
Thank you Donna-Marie! And that's soo awesome that you're a PB Nutriionist! Is that something you might be interested in talking to our views about at some point?
"Hobby farm". We had a hobby farm on Vancouver Island years ago. The deal was that if the bird or animal had a name it would not be eaten. I named everybody, chickens, ducks, geese, swans, wild turkeys, peafowl, all the various pheasants, horses, goats, and all our hookbills (aka parrots). Yes, I did a head count before locking up at night. lol
Hahaha - that's awesome!
Been etw for 20 years now. No need for grocery haul. In my opinion. Agree. Love your ideas. Love your family and your opinions too.
I totally agree! AND yet I just did one anyway :)
Regarding the grocery haul-I'm not sure I've ever seen one and probably wouldn't watch a shopping video. That would take more time and have too much 'B' roll for my taste. What I would like is perhaps a compilation of what you buy in a month, just go over what you bought each trip spread out on the counter. Plus a pantry tour/inventory would be useful, I think. What sort of things you always keep on hand vs. specialty items or splurges. That sort of thing would help people broaden their horizons perhaps.
As someone from the US I would love to see what's available to you. Anytime I visit a new area the first thing I do is hit the grocery stores, even in my own state. I love to see regional specialties (although most aren't plant based, tbh) even if I can't get them. Same with ethnic or specialty stores. Our own local Indian grocery was a game-changer for me. So many plant-based foods and fresh veg at fantastic prices.
The few channels I follow from our neighbors to the North have me dreaming of Canadian Tire.
As to your kitchen-I was a chemist in a commercial lab. Every so often we'd get an auditor who'd make a fuss over clutter. Were there beakers on the counters and samples to be filed? Always. Our QG manager shut them down with 'This is a working lab. Everything that is involved in an analysis is chemically clean and appropriate for the task. We can spend our time keeping it pristine or we can spend our time getting you accurate analyses on schedule. Which would you prefer?' I think that translates well. FWIW, I'd never call your home dirty. There's dirty and there's the normal condition of a busy home.
Thank you for this - so much great stuff in here - I'll jot down some of these ideas and thank you for your story about your lab! YOU GET ME :)
I really liked the fact that you don’t have perfect kitchen. Neither do I. It warms my heart to know you use yours, most people don’t. I have a messy life and yes! My kitchen gets messy.. it’s great!! Thanks for all your recipes, they’re making my journey a lot easier… peace and blessings..
So glad we're helping your journey!
I love your idea of shooting a video based on making the most of expiring food, eating from marked down or Flash Food stuff. Grocery haul videos feel really privileged to me. Tables groaning under mountains of fresh food people bought in one hit. If only we all had access to the same fresh produce, garden space or dollars in the pocket to buy whatever we wanted. Maybe your hesitancy to show a food haul is subconscious on some level. Your considerate nature and general equality vibe are qualities I love that shine through.
A look at different ethnic food staples, balling on a budget, or getting creative dealing with OTT seasonal produce like 101 things to do with pumpkin would be interesting!
Thank you and your family for the positive work you are all part of. Your real deal kitchen makes me feel better and I would stop at Woolie too btw. 🤗
Awwwww - everyone would stop at Woolie - she's the best :)
I think I will end up doing a planning/haul video but I appreciate this perspective of them feeling privileged as well. I'll keep that in mind - thank you for this!
I know some people love grocery haul vids but I think for people new to this lifestyle it helps to see what a shopping trip looks like for someone experienced.
Maybe instead of a grocery haul you can do a video on how you plan your week , put together a grocery list and any prep you might do. I think with the way people eat so much processed food it can be daunting to figure out how to approach the planning . I think this is a very underestimated part of switching to this lifestyle .
Yes! Thank you! I have one coming this weekend
@@pbwithjeremy wow! Ask and you shall receive! I knew there was a reason you were my new favorite show!
Awww thanks! I can read your mind :)
Thank you for bringing up the unfair judgement targeted at women in the social media wellness space. It sucks, but it is true.
It really does. The least I can do is mention it.
You can get plant based ice cream. They don't call it ice cream but it taste good. Doesn't melt like ice cream.
I love the idea of Pork and Beans. We have a chicken named Lime and a goat named Coconut (Lime used to sleep on Coconut when they were young and they are an awesome pair)
Love that!
Love the idea of Pork and Beans! Yes, I agree and wish people would just be kinder to each other. Don't mind the messy kitchen at all! Love that you let us in on your lovely regular family!
Yes! Thank you!
You have a Real Working Kitchen! Thank you for your authenticity!
Our pleasure!
Grocery hauls appeal to people who are really into shopping, and to those who place as much or more importance in acquiring stuff for an activity than the activity itself (in this case, cooking, but it's the same with other hobbies, and has a lot to do with our consumerist culture). Nice video, thanks. Glad you didn't have a cold this time. You seemed a little grumpy in the previous Q&A video. 😉
Thanks! Sorry if I seemed grumpy :(
Knowledge is power!
You inspire me! Thanks, Jeremy, for keeping it real!
My pleasure! :)
Grocery haul videos can be shot entirely in your kitchen with the food displayed from each store on the counter. Even though we live in different countries, it’s possible that our Costco’s carry the same things. I believe I learned of their chocolate chips that are vegan through your channel.
Oh - glad that was helpful. Alright. We'll give one a shot at some point!
I think vegans are interested in how you plan, & prep, & making a list & buying it & then prepping for the week feels less overwhelming when you can see how easy it can be. It helps people get motivated to plan I think! It can feel daunting, especially when you are new to this whole plant life.
Good points - thank you!!!!
Do a grocery shopping video when you get home showing all what you got:) for ideas ❤
A pantry staples video would be helpful. Why you prefer some items and how you use them.
Will add that to the idea pile!!!
Yes, please do a dedicated video to your WFPB journey. As someone who stops and starts, I am trying to keep doing it. I am convinced of it but just need to make myself stick to it.
You can do it! But don't beat yourself up for taking your time getting to commitment. Everyone's journey is their own.
You are so brave to share your family and great assistance in eating more healthfully.❤
My pleasure! They've been lovely for wanting to be involved.
I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now. And just today, I realized what your logo means. When I first saw "PB with J", I thought it was peanut butter and jelly. Doh! It's Plant Based with Jeremy! Better late than never having the light come one. :) Anyway, I'm enjoying your content - Learning a lot and having fun! Thanks!
Ohh - haha - I wonder how many others haven't made the connection - thanks for watching!
I just like to see what other people buy on grocery hauls. Just shoot a video once you come home of all the groceries bought. 😊
For the grocery hauls, you show what you bought when you get home 🙂 it’s fun to see what everyone else buys cuz sometimes you are getting something we haven’t bought yet!
Thank you for being real. Your authenticity is what makes your channel so great. And thank you for mentioning females being scrutinized at a different level. Bringing that topic to light is what heals.
I appreciate that. I think it's important to call that sort of thing out when I can.
Grocery haul is displaying all your groceries on the kitchen table when you finish shopping.
You and your channel and your family are fantastic! Thank you for being you!!
Thank you so much!
Hello from the UK. I think a video dedicated to a weight loss journey would inspire but also let viewers know the ups and downs of weight loss. Weight loss is easy for some but not others. Wfpb weight loss is slightly different. Also the food haul is to see what your buying in the hopes of mimicking for weight loss/health. Love the channel Danny
Thanks Danny!! This is great information for when planning these videos.
I love how creative your videos are this year. I never know what to expect next. I’m am so eager to see what your next video is about. 😊 Can not wait for this video to be up to view!
Thank you so much! Glad you're eager to watch :) This one's up soon!!!
I love your little bit messy kitchen because it makes you human like the rest of us!
Thanks fellow human!
Yes on the Flash Food video. Sounds fun and challenging!
Yes on Flash Foods and your kitchen is ok with me!
Admittedly I do not watch many grocery haul videos. They interest me if the haul is at a specialty grocery store. It’s a good way to learn about different cuisines. What I really enjoy is your cookbook reviews.
I love the flash foods idea! I think its fun to see how creative you have to be when given certain limitations.
I totally agree!
Would love to hear more about why you’ve committed to this. I just started WFPB a month ago and going down the Rabbit hole as we speak, I always knew animals weren’t treated well but I did the research to make sure I was fully informed. It’s so sad but I’m grateful to all of us that transition and help others find this path. Super grateful to have started learning from you as I like your healthy yet sustainable approach to WFPB!! Thanks so much for all you do!!
Our pleasure Jackie - and congrats on being a month in!!! So glad we can be helpful. And yeah - big deep weird rabbit hole. Enjoy it!!!
I too would love a more in-depth video on your WFPB journey
Pork n beans names are cute. Especially since the piggy will be named beans. I really like your channel-- you dont need to change anything. Im able to fix most of your recipes- thats a plus when it comes to eating healthy, simple WPB meals. Keep up the great work!!! God bless you & your family from grandma Katie in Oregon
Thanks Grandma Katie!!!
I love the flash food idea.
Love these type of videos!
Yes on the flash food idea! Very cool idea, for sure!
We downloaded the app today and I've been wondering how I can utilize what I would get without wasting much.
I'd definitely tune in to a video like this!
I love your health advice, too. I think it's spot on.
Its easy to overthink all this stuff but truly, it all goes together. Sometimes health starts with your mind and your intentions. Both for yourself and others. Super solid advice.
Love this!
Please do more of these, they are informational and fun.
Thanks
I like your open honest comments and your REAL life.
Love!
Loved this. It’s real life that’s for sure. 👍🏻👏👏👏
This was great! I hope you get interviewed by Chuck Carroll of The Exam Room. I enjoy his podcast and your channel very much.
I hope so too! Love him - give him a poke and let him know you think we're awesome :)
A grocery haul video is a way for newbies to get an idea of what a WFPB looks like if they went shopping. Maybe you could tie-in a grocery haul vid with a cooking from a cookbook week vid; show, from the grocery store to your plate, what that looks like!?
Shirt logo idea... this makes me so happy!
Nice!
Sending all my love!!
love your show and your family
thank you!
Love the flash foods idea. 💡
Awesome answer on oil!! Great video!!
Thank you! Cheers!
What an awesome Q&A! 🙌🏻
Thank you!! 😁
I like grocery hauls - you can just put it out in your kitchen, no need for the store footage. I like to see different foods people get outside of where I live.
I did one :)
Love your channel Jeremy! Keep it up 😊
Thank you! Will do!
Love your videos
Love your comments :)
I love what you are doing so far and don't need to see you do a grocery haul. I find people filming while walking around a store anxiety inducing! I do like to see what people get from the store and how people shop while eating this way, but it is definitely not something you need to put on your channel if you are not into it. Love to you all. Susan from Lincoln, CA
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Sharon!
Love your show
THANK YOU!
Thanks for sharing and thanks for the video, Jeremy!
Thanks for watching!
You are wonderfully honest, I’m so glad I have found your channel.
Glad you found us too!
Great questions and answers… really appreciate that you are real (kitchen included)!! 😊
Thanks :)
Great video! 😊
Thx!!!
Thank you for taking the time to share from yourself and your family!
Of course!
You’re the best!
Awww thank you!
Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿 😀 love the Q and A’s.
Hello from Galveston. TX. I LOVE your videos and recipes. Became vegan “ish” a year ago and thanks to you and your family and a couple of others the medical info connected to the flavours and I dropped the remainder of the sneaky dairy, refined sugar and oil. I started my journey for health (auto immune glaucoma, and cholesterol and an abnormal mammogram). I am an RN and watched all the usual documentaries initially. Thank you again for all you do. I’m joining the community. Not having a weight sue makes people question why I’d be doing this too.
Oh wow - thank you Shona! So happy to have you in our community! And so honoured to be a small part of your story and journey!
Loved the answer to your health advice question. thank you
my pleasure!
Thanks
Welcome
YES, Pork and Beans. That’s hilarious and also sweet.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Hello PB&J fam. I've been lurking on your channel for a few days and decided to subscribe. Thank you for sharing your home, family and your vegan food adventures. I wish I had discovered your channel before I purchased some of the cookbooks that are now taking up space in my very small and yes messy, cluttered kitchen! I too deep clean on the weekends and try to tidy up during the week. What I enjoy about your channel is how down to earth you and your family are. You all are just a hoot. Your Annie reminds me of my daughter, Morgan. My daughter was so picky there was much she didn't like versus what she did like. My Morgan had some crazy reasons for not liking particular foods. I've been vegan since 2016. Well thank you for the Q&A.
Thanks for lurking! Glad you enjoy us for ourselves :) Sorry we couldn't save you some $$$$ before!
Thanks for sharing! Would love to hear more about your WFPB- story...
okies
Thank you, Jeremy, for creating this amazing channel! The delicious food, the warm and cozy feeling, friendly atmosphere… It’s one of the few channels I consistently watch and it means a lot to me; never stop being yourself! Cheers from Gabrovo, Bulgaria! ❤️
Wow - what a lovely comment to get - thank you! We don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon! :)
You have lots of great ideas for videos. Great Q&A, I also love the cookbook series which oddly feels like comfort food to me ❤❤❤
Thank you!!!
Thank you for doing this video. I appreciate you and your family putting yourselves out here and sharing with us. Can't be easy as some people can be cruel. I'm on my own journey of WFPB and trying out recipes I find during this new way of eating. I've never been a big meat person and the older I get, the more I understand it's effects on MY body. So you sharing your journey is very helpful and your humor makes it fun!! Cheers to all of you! Oh, and I'm Christine from the Central Coast of California. 💜👍
My pleasure! Thank you Christine!!
Hi from PEI. I like a grocery haul. Inspires my grocery list. I consider myself an 80/20 vegan. I went plant based over 7 years ago and I lost a good amount of weight. Now I try to balance it a bit more.. sort of. Not perfect but I try. Love your channel.
80/20 means 80% healthy 20% a little less healthy- but always vegan. ( I have a pet pig and a dog )
That's probably similar to ours. YOU HAVE A PIG?!?!? What's it's name? How old? I have so many questions!!! Where do you live?
I love your channel. I appreciate it is real and family, kind and informative. I actually enjoy that its not spotless and perfect!😁
Yipee!!!
Your sincerity is your charm! I love to see your real life instead of the fake atmosphere of some other kitchens. I do watch other channels for meal inspiration but find myself coming back to your channel the most often to mimic what you do. You’re great! Amy from North Carolina
Awww thank you so much Amy!
Jeremy, you and your family are delightful, funny and enjoyable to watch! Real and authentic, no phony pretenses. Yes to more videos like this. Yes to a dedicated video to your personal journey. Your farmhouse is pretty and looks like a peaceful place. I’m sure it would be nice for your family to live there full time. Who cares if your kitchen is messy. As you said, life is messy and so are many other’s kitchens, especially with kids! Broccoli Mum is unapologetically messy too. If a viewer is offended, they would be better to keep it to themselves and change the channel! I find comments like offensive. I agree 💯% with your answer to the first question about the food being low fat. I don’t use processed oils at all in my cooking. Hopefully that answer will help others understand the philosophy of calorie density and eating unprocessed foods. I personally enjoy grocery haul videos for Costco and Trader Joe’s bc sometimes I’ll become aware of a product I didn’t see or consider before. Lots of love and thanks for all you do! 😘 Looking forward to more like this!
Thanks Vi!
I'm so glad that you said what you did about your kitchen. My kitchen isn't very well put together, either. It's clean enough to not get things like salmonella (lol!) but the food police might find some infractions. Thanks for being real.
You are so welcome!
What you do is Amazing. You do you We Love your channel Thank You
I appreciate that!
I love your videos!!! I am a Jammer!!
Your kitchen makes me feel at home!!
Keep up the great work. I love you!! And the family!!

Jammer!!!! Hi Beth! Thanks for the love!
I now want a pig and weiner dog😊 Pork and Beans! Love it
wow, so happy to see how authentic and real you and your family are.. been watching some of your videos and I really enjoy how you share your life with your viewers. I still cannot believe how many people bully our choices, I experience that with some people still, even not being 100 percent WFPB... :( I'm just not a RUclips sensation ;) Thank you for a very interesting segment with the answering of your viewers questions! loved it!! and btw, love watching you guys, especially love the series of cooking from a different cookbook. Still have some to watch.
I am still trying to get on that bandwagon of WFPB fully, I'm about 90 percent most days and 100 percent some days. What makes it more challenging is my omnivore hubby, he's very open to my choices and understands why I choose what I choose, but he cooks so delish and still makes amazing seafood dishes. I do cut back A LOT, but still sneak in some seafood. 🥴
btw that kitchen question was 😵💫🤐.. you have a kitchen you live and cook in!
Everyone has their own journey - take it as you need to - glad you're enjoying the content! Happy to share ourselves with you all! :)

Juat found your channel today. After watching this video and the latest cookbook review, I subscribed. I love that you film in your real kitchen and not an imaculate studio kitchen. I've been vegan for years but that has not protected me from gaining weight or high blood pressure. My biggest problems are eating too much bread and eliminating oil. I am a very good cook. I don't know that i need more recipes. I need ways to convert the ones I already have. Looking forward your videos.
You've come to the right place then - I have a video on the channel that's all about swaps - let me know if you can't find it!!!
You’re so fun to watch! Love your whole fabulous family! I thank you all for helping us through this healthy diet change and making it real and fun! I’m totally new to the plant based Whole Foods diet. I need help with non-spicy sauces and things like that to add more flavor. Great advice! Everyone please be kind! We all need more! I’m Wendy from Toledo Oregon! Your kitchen just fine! Stay as you are! You are all perfect! 😊
Thank you for all of this Wendy!!!
