I’m having issues permanently deleting my emails from the trash bin all at once. I don’t have time to swipe each one if I’m wanting to delete them.
For current readers once moved to trash the emails will drop out permanently after 30 days.
For those who have the new iOS update, just go to all mail, press edit and press select all in the top left corner. Then move it to trash. Boom.

Doesn't work - you end up with DOUBLE the number of emails that cannot be deleted !
Yay this DOES WORK. Couple of tips: yiu just moved the emails to trash. Now go into trash, click edit and then delete all. Now they are GONE! Next, you can use the same trick in the video but use the search feature first. That way you can delete certain emails from certain senders. ie I want to delete all emails from Sallie Mae. Search Sallie Mae, then follow the instructions in the video. Note that once moved to trash your email will kinda “freeze”. NO BIGGIE - I promise. Double click the home button for multitasking view then swipe up the mail window to give it a hard close. Don’t forget to go back into the trash and delete all. Thank so much to the dude for making this video. I just deleted 13,000 emails. I feel so much better. ❤️
Lol. Hold the move button then tap the message you selected. Then the phone screen will change in its own...at least it should. When I did it it behaved just like his video. 🤔hmmm hope it works out. I’ve being doing it a lot now! Still whitening down the 13000 I had - because some I do have to save. 😩 lol

Step one) search a sender or topic/edit/drag my finger to the bottom and hold while it does a mass checking of emails.
Half an hour into that, ‘eff this, taking way too long’
Step two) From desktop/use sweep bottom. Where it should delete in bulk all the messages from a sender.
Kept trying but messages kept showing back up.
Step three) RUclips university is usually the best teacher. We’ll see if this method works for me. Haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds like it wipes whole inbox. I’m not trying to delete EVERYTHING, just everything from certain senders.
nearly everything cleaned out thus far has been junk advertising from all the stupid stores that get your email, then feed you stuff daily (basically any retailer that you sign up or register with).
Step four) Maintenance. Don’t let it get this way again !!

With IOS 14.2 deleting any folder’s emails WITHOUT any filters selected will occur if you will simply select the folder you want to empty WITHOUT using this process. Simply select the folder you want emptied, hit EDIT, hit SELECT ALL with the filters deselected,and normal deleting will occur.
I just go to mail click select, than to the top left hand side it says all and I click that than I click delete

100 %working I save my time from selecting 412 emails
*PLEASE SHARE THIS* This method no longer works (at least for me). Firstly, I went to my email account via my computer because most platforms have an "delete all" option unlike apples stupid app. I deleted all my emails from there with the click of a button, most of my emails were deleted from the iPhone mail app once I refreshed the app, but not all of them for some reason. . . I then deleted the actual mail app from my iPhone because apple allows you to do that now. . . Then I went into settings -> accounts and passwords -> delete your email accounts. . . and then redownload the mail app and log in (before I tried this without deleting my email account and I kept receiving an error message that would prevent me from syncing my iPhone mail app to my actual email account).
Now I have a fresh inbox and am thinking about switching to android if apple employees are this stupid making customers jump through loops and share glitches rather than adding a delete all button and giving users more freedom within their software. Those jabronies. iTunes is so lame now too, I am use to the LimeWire and FrostWire days where iTunes was very user friendly and allowed you to put music files from anywhere into your iTunes library. Now its all a bunch of shit, if anybody knows how to go back to those good ol days please share with me, I want music without a montly gay subscription
