Dude, filters in Gmail were life-changing! I have always wanted to use the Mail app on my Apple devices, I did not know how to filter through all the BS. Much appreciated!
Great idea! I would suggest creating those rules and filters in your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, or iCloud.com) rather than the Mail app on Mac. And there's not a way to create filters for your Mail on iPhone directly.

@stephen check if we add multiple work profiles on one iPhone currently it has options for one profile only? Like in android we do multiple work accounts their has to be a way for doing in IOS too
@@beardfm yes Stephen, under VPN and device management, for work profiles we need to add the work profile, in IOS I have tried many times to add 2 work profile but it didn't allow, also search for it and it says that we have only add one profile. Please help if we have a way to add multiple work profiles I use google work profile as well as Microsoft intune profile and they both now add in IOS at the same time. If I see android there we have option to create work profile where we have a separate work space and we can install apps in that work space complete isolated from the actual apps, do we not have an option to add here and if not then can you highlight to some bigger forum so that developers can look into it and provide a way. Currently in IT it is very common we have multiple accounts and with each work profile we have separate profiles to add in the iphone and I see iPhone didn't have option to add multiple profile. Can we not create a separate space like containers to install a set of apps in a different space completed isolated?

Hey. I love Spark, but want the cross-platform and inter-app share functionality of using Apple on board apps; but I really HATE all .pdfs not being icons. If I’m looking at a mail and scroll, any sensitive docs are on show as I go down (invoices, bills, etc). I never worked out how to do this, so I’m using Spark but their privacy policy is a bit sketchy. Any clues how to set this as default?
Great information: question - just bought a new iphone 15 pro and ATT tech updated my contacts & mail. however, their procedure created a duplicate concast mail inbox? both inboxes are the same ! How can I delete one of the inboxes? any thoughts thanks
Do you know how to open an email (on an iPhone 8 ) that’s got the “Follow Up” tab or button? Many businesses are sending me replies w/this Follow Up feature but my phone starts a new email response back to them when I tap on that tab in their response to me. Resulting in me not being able to see their response. 😢

Thanks! Mail doesn’t have the option built-in, but I would recommend creating some Shortcuts with pre-filled text, and you can even prompt for several pieces of info that differ each time you send a message!
U still haven't helped me enable html in my mail I use att and yahoo on my computer I can read my mail but on my phone it's just a bunch of codes I don't know how this happened can u figure out what to do ??? Thanks again char

Basically when I go to the mail app it’s like I’m reading an open email as opposed to looking at a list of emails where as on the iPhone mail app it’s a list of emails. I’ve never seen any email like this thanks anyway

I have ios 17 latest and when i search in the mail app for specific word and (could be the sender itself e.g.) get the results listed, i click on one of the shown mails to open but then i only see a blank screen (the only thing i see are the 4 symbols at the bottom. This does not happen always, but with certain emails, any idea how i could solve?
Thanks for subscribing! Are they older emails? Mail only keeps messages to a certain date locally, but *does* search on your mail server for messages not already downloaded. Its not perfect but I often search in the email services native app when that happens (Gmail, Outlook, Fastmail)

By confidence I checked all my settings - mail - and there was a check which was not toggled, which is called: “complete threads “ after turning that on, it now worked. No clue why it now works, but feels great not to reset the iPhone and then setup as a new iPhone
In android, we can choose to swipe and delete email... I have been looking for this it is not available in iPhone!!!!! Do you know of any way doing that? I want it to be a one step process... not multiple choices!!!! Thanks, Ross
I use three gmail accounts through the mail app and also have two of them signed in on the gmail app. Am I missing anything? I don’t really use Mac iOS
What are you looking to do with those accounts? If you want to setup the unsubscribe filter you’ll need to do it on the web at gmail.com for all three accounts.
When you snooze directly in the gmail app or on the web in gmail, this disappear for you inbox for a set time and will reappear when you say. So you can snooze until tomorrow morning, next week, or set a specific date and time. You can still see snoozed emails in that “folder” in gmail. Apple’s “Remind Me Later” Mail feature doesn’t make them disappear from the inbox.

For something like that you’ll need to create a filter in your email provider and possibly use the VIP feature on iOS

It does! Go to an individual mail message, tap the sender, and then scroll down to “add to VIP”

Hey! If you go to Settings > Mail > Accounts, are there duplicate accounts listed? You can delete one there.

I did this and it did put the emails in the folder, but they where also in the inbox.
Was it Gmail? Make sure to check “Archive” message plus apply label.

Shouldn’t affect the speed of Mail at all, although if you applied the rule to all past emails it may be reorganizing them which can take a while.

Why does my mail app show a mail preview it’s so annoying I only want to see my inbox
Go to Settings > Mail > under “Message List” go to Preview > None

You can customize the swipe gestures in Settings > Mail for it to delete on swipe

You certainly don’t need it on iOS if you’re using Mail. The only reason I have it is to Snooze emails so they disappear from the inbox

Could never get my filters to work in the native iOS Mail app.
I always create filters on the email provider side, not in Apple Mail.
I hate that i cant multi select photos from gallery in mail app. Also there no mention of maximum size limit of attachments. Let me know if you know
