I've had one for years. I'm 65 years old and do 3 rounds every day. Great exercise and great video. I like your style. You taught me something which shows you're never too old to learn! Thanks.
Out of all the "bags" i train with as a boxer, my favorite is the double end bag. For several years i had a double end bag in my home gym, and i also had one that was actully a tennis ball on the line just like the double end bag, and i got pretty acurate and quick with my punches, i would throw 3-4 punch combos on it (the d.e.b with the tennis ball) and not to mention the rythem and timing . "Timing beats spees and precision beats power", and the tennis ball version was a great piece of equiptment for that. And of course i also work the "regular" Double end bag ,and i also ajust the line so it could be tight or not so tight depending what im doing. Awesome piece of equiptment. I love the double end bag
Great work buddy. I live in a flat and so have to go to a football pitch by me to set the bag up on the goal posts. I always feel embarrassed or self conscious but seeing you do it has pushed me to get off my arse and go now. I'm 42 and used to thai box, I don't compete anymore but still love to train. I wish you luck, keep up the good work.
Started boxing recently and tried this for the first time this week, will be getting one for at home with a kettle bell 👍 Awesome video bro, thanks!! 😊🙌
Excellent stuff lad. Just picked one up and though been a bit of a pugilist in the past never practiced with a double ended bag. I’ll have to try some of these drills to mix it up, much appreciated!
Great instructional video....from someone who can actually box. Really well put together, good skills and technique! 👊👊 I have boxed over 40 years, coached over 12. I use one like this (loose) as well as a small tennis ball size one (tight) and just use gel wraps on those. Then 16oz on for heavy bag and a Cobra bag. All different skills and different techniques. Anyone who is thinking of getting one of these should watch this video and just keep practising. It will take hundreds of hours to get this good....but that's the fun of it! Don't just go randomly hitting punch bags/balls. Do what he says here and have a theme every round. Thanks for posting.
@@iwood9851 thanks a lot! Yeah boxed for Finchley ABC for years having over 70 fights for club and a few for England then turned pro in 2015 now currently 10-0 as a professional so been at it a while lol
Ha ha...... It shows. 👌 Very difficult to pick any issues with your technique. Balance combined with your footwork (linear and lateral) is very sharp. And I know how difficult it can be doing these vids, I put a couple up then took them down after some daft comments from people who had no idea.
Great stuff here. I'm in NYC and currently looking for a High-quality "Bladerless" leather double ended bag. Any recommendations? Also good quality Bungee cables. Stay Safe
Thanks a lot! The rival one is pretty good, although the one in this video is just a cheap £15 one off eBay! The best thing is to look at google reviews I’d say to gauge the best one! I get my bungee cables off eBay and they’ve been good! Thanks a lot and you!
Hi mate. I've been wanting a floor to ceiling ball for ages... I just can't attached it to the floor or the ceiling 😂. I see you've improvised, any recommendations of what I can in a house! Thanks
Hi mate! Yeah it depends on your set up! Ideally there best in the middle of the room so you can move around it freely! So if you can you could always screw something onto the ceiling to hook on to, or in a door frame works ok to but your limited for movement! A tree branch in the garden always works well to aswell 🥊
Hi mate, position it around about the same height your head will be when in your boxing stance. so allowing for the knees to be slightly flexed. you can alter the height though depending on what you want to achieve. if preparing for a smaller fight can shorten it
Hi mate, you can still work on moving laterally, stepping off to the side, moving your head on and off the line. remember boxing is sometimes a game of inches and even by moving your feet slightly to the side you've changed the angle by a fraction. You are limited for moving completely around it though if its in a doorway but still lots you can work on with it

Great work. How did you secure the bag?
Thanks a lot! I tied it up the top and weighted it down with 2 5kg small plates, but anything can weigh it down really
Many thanks
Just got one What did you anchor it down with at the base In case I want to take it out to the park ? Instead of home use ?
Just used a couple of 2.5kg plates mate, or can use a kettle bell. anything that weights it down and doesn't move really

Just rewatched and saw you said it can be attached to a door frame too

Muy bien
Can I ask what can of height you have this set to? Is it about shoulder height?
Hi mate, position it around about the same height your head will be when in your boxing stance. so allowing for the knees to be slightly flexed. you can alter the height though depending on what you want to achieve. if preparing for a smaller fight can shorten it
Can’t move about with it in the door though just go back and forwards?
