West Midlands Metro: Eastside extension update (Bull Street to Deritend) on Monday 20th May 2024

On Monday 20th May 2024, after requests from subscribers, we visited the West Midlands Metro Eastside extension to see how it has changed since our last visit.
Work has continued at Dale End and now construction work is taking place across Moor Street Queensway towards the temporary terminus being built at Moor Street next to the Clayton Hotel.
Along Digbeth, the fencing has now been removed and we filmed up to High Street, Deritend where the track finishes nut grass verging continues to allow for the future expansion towards Birmingham International Airport.

I'll give it a few months and there will be boy racers banging up and down that stretch. God knows what condition it will be in by the time its open. The shrubs and planting looks very good though.
