  • On Friday 28th June 2024, we visited Birmingham City Centre to film trams on West Midlands Metro network between St. Chad's and Town Hall Victoria Square.
We also filmed work on the Eastside extension around Lower Bull Street and Moor Street Queensway.
National Express West Midlands had placed its Pride bus into service and we filmed that alongside electric buses and other ADL E400s in the new livery.
    Trams in service:
    CAF Urbos 3: 19 29 30 with 25 on driver training
    CAF Urbos 100: 38 39 41 44AD 45AD 47 48 49 50 51 52 55 56 58
In Lower Bull Street, chaos was caused by the driver of an articulated lorry who clearly did not know how to drive it in a confined area that was clearly marked "unsuitable for HGVs".
After creating a tailback of 67 buses, he was finally extricated by a skillful Diamond Bus driver.
