Have an 01 Busa. Rode her all the time racking up 33k. Then life changed gears. Was going to sell her but couldn’t find the right buyer at the right time. She was offline since 2018. Got tired of seeing her in the garage slowly rotting and decided to get her back to fully functional. First ride home, MAN I MISSED THIS !!!! Forgot how FREEING this was. Been in a cage for too long.

I’ve always tried finding healthy hobbies and habits to replace negative habits and addiction and I’ve got to say riding on two wheels is easily one of the greatest things to ever happen to me. There is absolutely nothing like it. Anyways stay safe everyone

    It’s addictive & I love it! 😻
‘Driving a car is like watching a movie, riding a motorcycle is like starring in one’.
    Says it all.

I've always been into cars so had a very loose interest in motorbikes. Never thought i'd start to ride but i'm glad i did. Got hit off fractured my ankle and the whole recovery time i've been wanting to ride. Ive started to lose intrest in cars and spirited driving because riding feels much more rewarding.

How long is your recovery time roughly?
I had surgery on my broken ankle 9 weeks ago (not bike related).
Hopefully I'll be back on my bike in a few weeks.
I wish you a speedy and full recovery.

@@ellistolchard4400 I was told about 10 weeks, been about 7 I think and I'm back on my feet without a boot, have a bit of discomfort after a long time standing or walking. Having to watch my step but for the most part I'm fine now. Can't wait to get back on a bike. Thanks for the good wishes and hope the same for you and that you'll be back on your bike

      Thank you for your reply.
The time frame is a bit frustrating, but it's important to do the stretches, exercises and just walking etc.
We'll both be back on our bikes soon.
      BTW where do you live?

@@ellistolchard4400 ankle can be annoying due to the long recovery time, small complex bones with a big job. But I don’t think riding takes too much toll on your ankles unlike other things ( like soccer) i had a guy who had an annoying fracture but was back on the field the next year.

i started riding in college because i couldn't afford a car....35yrs later, even as a millionaire i still ride to work every day with varieties of different bikes to choose from

The capturing of the lizard brain (which also releases dopamine, ouytoxin and serotonin) is an often overlooked aspect in many things in life, even more so with riding. Good video! Ride safe 🙏

I don't think that we have an innate desire for "effortless" travel. I do think we have a instinct to explore, and experience and imo there is no better vehicle that will allow you to explore and experience your environment better than a motorcycle. In a car, you're in your own little world, on a bike, you're part of the world, you experience it.

watch out for the moment you sell your bike, you will need new one. Mine passed of age, and i am broke to get new one. I think i will go insane if i dont get new one soon.

I presume because of the danger? I felt like that at the beginning but I learned that riding can be a lot safer when not done recklessly and constant development of skills. Their only dangerous because it entices people to choose to ride recklessly.

I mean I'm taking my license now, and I don't feel it's addicting. I am actually disappointed from all the hype of how awesome bikes are. They're not. I prefer cars all day.
