    Meditation can be good for gaining awareness about what is wrong. A brief distraction like going to the beach can help reset your perspective on a problem and make you realise where you went wrong. But you are right that in the end, the the real peace comes from action and resolving the core issue.

      Yes I agree, in my video it's only talking about some experiences and there could be instanced where going out (to the beach) would have been beneficial too. The only thing I differ in opinion is I personally would not meditate instead I would call it prayer and open to God's intervention.

    Its not cylinder. I only changed c3 on my 03 r6 and only change was stronger 4k and up, plus my popping on decel all but stopped. And it was bad. Bike was sluggish in low rpm before. Doesnt make sense to only tweak a cylinder too.

    When comparing this type of bike with a full on sports bike , when your talking about 'faster' its the rider that makes the difference. Even on track a decent rider on a naked sports is ikely to be able to lap faster than an average joe on say an R1. Just my two cents worth.

    • @sparkthego
      @sparkthego 19 дней назад

      Yeah that's true, there are people on an R3 that are faster than people on R1 on the track. But what I meant was straight line pull. I can noticeably feel that this bike does not pull as hard as a any of the supersports that I've ridden, that's the point I was trying to make.

As if a 600ccm supersport isn´t fast enough already, but it´s more forgiving since it´s full power comes up at the rev limiter. I rode bikes for 20 years before i got myself a R1 to put things into perspective.

    This bike screams at high revs, didn't watch long enough to see if you went there or not. Also, the comfort issue can be negated by getting a softer seat (or cushions on top) and raising the bars a little bit. Not a review tbh, you just compare it with your R1.

    • @sparkthego
      @sparkthego Месяц назад

      Yeah I gave a little demo revving it when talking about power 3 quarters in. before my R1 I rode mostly 600's so to me revving out to 12k like this bike seems a little short, also maybe because my Daytona has the same dash at it went up to 15/16k is throwing me off a bit. Also yes I think getting a better seat will help comfort.

    This is more of a comparison with your R1 than a review of this bike in isolation. Additionally, this was my first bike and bought it after riding it for 15 minutes at a dealership. It felt right for me and I knew it was what I was looking for (granted I could stretch it's legs a bit on the test ride). The ergonomics are quite unique, where the handlebars give it a more upright position but the pegs are really high as well. Something that I really enjoyed but it can feel really odd to people.

      Yeah that's why I sold mine in the end. It still felt very much like a Daytona from the handlebars back with the high pegs and angled seat. Constantly felt like I was being thrown forward into the bars. With some clip ons or flatter bars it would've been a good track bike but it didn't work as a road bike for me.

    Hey mate, I noticed the bike seemed to stall when you were coming to a stop. I'm having the same issue. Did this come about when you were adjusting the CO settings? The issue I'm experiencing is it starts and idles fine both cold and warm. If I'm riding up in 3rd gear for e.g. and then have to slow down to come to a stop for lights or a roundabout etc when I pull the clutch lever the engine dies. Blip shifting up and down is fine, it's only if I fully pull the clutch lever in with no throttle. (I'm the guy that bought the bike btw, stumbled across your videos when looking for solutions). - serviced it with new airfilter, plugs, etc - new chain and sprocket - got the exup 17 error code intermittently when riding. Have tried it manually fully open and fully closed and have since servo motor removed and deleted with a plug. - synced the throttle body - checked TPS old plugs cylinder 1 & 2 looked a bit rich, 3 and 4 looked pretty good.

    • @sparkthego
      @sparkthego Месяц назад

      Hey hey! fancy seeing you here LOL, I used to run the bike slightly lean around -8 on all C1-4 values. Before I sold the bike I set all the values to 0 because thats how I bought it, but it runs rich from the factory. I've never had an issue with stalling either at 0 and or at the leaner values, the only reason it was stalling in the video was because the C values were at -25 (I think or some other stupid values) just for demonstrating in the video. I never had stalling issues otherwise before or after the video. Did you notice the stalling after the exup delete? The code was probably throwing error 17 because of the change from -8 to 0 but this is only a temporary problem since 17 isn't really and error but more the fact that the exup was needed to readjust. I probably wouldn't have deleted the exup because of that. BTW there is a bit of a paradox in this video, the beginning part was actually recorded at the end after putting everything back to my typical -8 C values and riding it back home, as you can see there were no issues and thats how the bike always ran for me.

    My understanding is that you always want the shaft and pinch lever to be 90 degrees of each other. If you start introducing an angle it will make the shift throws different. Basically it'll require less distance to shift in one direction than the other. Proper way is to get the shaft extended as you need it then reposition the pinch lever on the notch the makes it closest to 90 degrees from the shaft. Might take a few tries to get it right but that the only way to maintain equal shift throw.

    • @sparkthego
      @sparkthego Месяц назад

      @@Omar411269 i didn’t know about that aspect of it, it its always at 90 degrees wouldn’t it remain the same space thus nullifying the adjustment just made?

    • @Omar411269
      @Omar411269 Месяц назад

      @@sparkthego Hmmm, good question. I think the shaft-pinch angle has to be 90 but the shaft-lever angle can be whatever makes you comfortable. Or maybe its best to have the pinch and lever parallel and the shaft can be adjusted freely.... You've made me think way to much about this lol

    • @sparkthego
      @sparkthego Месяц назад

      @@Omar411269 i didn’t look at it so I’m just guessing here but i think that the adjustable shaft should be horizontal for force efficiency, if its not it will be slightly less efficient in terms of movement but it takes stuff all force to change gear anyway so i don’t think anyone cares. The length of the horizontal shaft does nothing to the throw distance, only the vertical shafts would ( which are not adjustable). In summary I still think the teeth are for course adjusted and the shaft is for fine adjustments?

    • @Omar411269
      @Omar411269 Месяц назад

      @@sparkthego So my original thinking was that , geometrically, the most efficient orientation of the shaft is perpendicular to the pinch because as the shaft moves linearly/tangentially it moves the pinch rotational around the shift knob. Think of it like on a bicycle; the most efficient part of the pedal stroke is when you're pushing straight down, when your leg is perpendicular to the crank. The least efficient part of the stroke is as you're pedaling over and and under the crank when your leg is inline with the crank. However the more I think about it I remember that the foot pedal itself is a lever that that rotates on its own fulcrum to move the shaft. So I now think that as long as the lever, shaft, and pinch form 3 sides of a parallelogram it should be equally efficient both ways. Any loss of leverage from the pedal lever moving to open an acute angle against the shaft would be met with increased leverage on the other end where the shaft is moving to close an obtuse angle at the pinch so net efficiency change is zero. So long as the angles are not too extreme a parallelogram pretty much solves the issue entirely and maintains equal shift throw in both directions. Shift force is a different question tho... I think that is where the overall angles can become important. The more extreme the angles of the parallelogram will affect the force by a factor of sin(x) or cos(y) x&y being the angles of the parallelogram. So, yes, this whole post is a long winded way of saying the proper adjustment of the shifter pedal is to unbolt and move the pinch a tooth in either direction. Changing the shaft length should be minimized to the finest of adjustments because that can disturb the parallelogram. What do you think?

    • @sparkthego
      @sparkthego Месяц назад

      @@Omar411269 I think that even if the movement didn't resolve itself (which it kind of does the shaft moves up and down vertically together), but even if it didn't If the horizontal shaft was off by 30 deg you still get 86% of the force 45 deg 70%. Even these forces would still be usable and probably not noticeable I mean feet are strong and boots are heavy. However in any adjustment you are no where near these extreme angles so you right on that part. I'm also thinking is should get a discord channel?

    You need to learn to clutchless upshift. Once you learn to do it you'll understand why, and it's easy. Put a small amount of pressure under the gear shifter, just a bit it doesn't take much, then close the throttle until the engine, gearbox and rear wheel are all balanced and unloaded, and [snick] the bike changes gear. Then you wind the throttle on again. Easy. After a few goes you'll learn where that balance point is and it becomes second nature. Save some wear and tear on your clutch, and your hand.

    • @sparkthego
      @sparkthego 3 месяца назад

      It's less about needing to learn. I made a video last year about clutch-less up/down shifting how to do it, when to do/not do it and also I give another method which results in faster shifting than clutch-less. "Four ways to shift on a motorcycle" ruclips.net/video/oY5mzMWHXqo/видео.html

I passed a guy on a 600 by riding around the outside of him on a corner. Not my fault he chickened out. Getting that bike up to speed was too much work to be wasting the speed using by the brakes...

    I don't play those games with other riders. If anything, I prefer to let them whizz by and do their stupid shit. I look at it this way - I get to ride my bike the way I like and am comfortable with, which doesn't put me or anyone else in danger and I get to go home and see my loved, with both body and bike in one piece. For some reason I find Adventure bikers are among the worst riders for this ego thing - only in my experience. I ride a 2017 XSR900 and love the fun and experience it gives me. By the same token I'm also very much aware that more attention is paid to me and the bike due to its engine sound and look of the bike (I'm the second owner and first owner did some customising that gives it a slightly more aggressive 'street fighter' look), and as a result I try to ride with due care and attention, being considerate of other road users, and not doing crazy shit in order to 'show off'. I feel ANY rider is the yard stick by which every other rider is judged, so I try to give us bike riders a good impression. The other factor, for me, is that I am under no illusion as to the limits of my bike riding ability and skill set, and will never try to out-ride those. I have to respect my bike, as I am painfully aware that it has the potential to kill me if I do not give it the respect it deserves. I bought a key fob for my bike, ordered from the US, which reads, "DON'T FUCKING DIE", just as a gentle reminder each time I ride.

      Yeah I notice people riding quite aggressively on these 900 type bikes Kawi, Yamaha etc. They seem to be quite aggressive by nature so self discipline is the name of the game for survival. I need to tell myself that sometimes on my R1 thats why i've been considering going back to 600's (but its not like they can't go fast either).

    I would assume that where lane-splitting is legal, that at least SOME people would notice you. In Louisiana it isn’t, so I avoid it when it isn’t necessary. I’ve had people try to cut me off before…why… I only do it in dead-stop traffic. Im not hurting anyone, and I don’t do unnecessarily high speeds 17:29 through it. When I see people hauling ass through traffic, or even doing wheelies inches from cars, I feel like it people automatically put me in the asshole category just for riding

      Here in Sydney a lot of people do notice me, some of them even move over. Although some people don't realise its legal and I'd love to see what goes through their mind when I lane split past cops. Also here the speed limit for lane splitting is 30km/h (20mph). As far as reputation, most riders are well behaved but it does get wild in the outskirts.

However i hardly think that being open the idea of life beyond this physical realm is standard of the floor.

    I have considered what you have said and decided none of it has value as it can't be proved either way. There may be an afterlife, but making specific claims about it seems a fools errand. Predestination means you have no agency, so it is waste of time to talk about it. Or there is no predestination and the subject is equally moot. Like the afterlife there is no way to know, so it is not a subject worth diving into unless you need unearned certainty. I like the idea of karma in so much it makes you more mindful of your choices. Please note, karma is not in your bible at all. You are mixing up dogma.

      Furthermore "proof" does not have the merit that your implying. People believe a lot of things based on the testimony of others who claim its "proof". A lot of scientific theories about the world that people believe have not actually been proven rather it's based on evidence and plausible ideas. Which are to a similar degree to the evidence and plausibility of the ideas that I'm bringing forward.

    • @sharper68
      @sharper68 4 месяца назад

      @@sparkthego No definitive assertion about eternity has any merit outside the prism of your feelings. It is not science thing as the immaterial is not something science can test. No one has proof of the divine because it is not an idea that requires proof to function, it instead relies on good feels and faith. Science does not value faith within it's arguments because it is intangible and unmeasurable. Only evidence and empirical replicated proof gives you weight in that world. Atheism has no direct connection to science at all outside it may be the tool they adopt to explain the world, but there is no real link between them. They are not mutually inclusive. To be an atheist means you have a single position on a single issue, that you do not have the faith to believe in a god informs nothing else you think outside a theist proclivity of magical thinking. Makes it hard to be a radical.

    • @sparkthego

      Im not sure how many people are theistic because of “feelings”. People make associations and have a logical aspect to their beliefs. You can argue that the association and logic is flawed but you can’t say it’s basis is fundamentally different to why for instance someone believes there is no God.
