Yes........these 'kids' are really special people for they have a heart for the LORD. This song beautifully conveys the love of God for us sinners to 'finally come home'.

I am late to the party but I have to say this is one of the prettiest songs I have ever heard. It doesn't sound as much like an original song but more like a classic from the past. Kudos to Katie and Matt.
Well, it IS a classic. A Petersen classic. The first official song they ever wrote. And I totally agree with you, the melody line is very very pretty. Certainly one for a future Greatest Hits album. :)

This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. It is so encouraging to see young adults write a song with such a great message! Their parents have done well in raising them in a Christian home & have them continue in a Christian life.

Oh boy. 7 in the morning I'm drinking my coffee getting ready for work and you all have me in full body Goosebumps with eyeballs so welled up the surface tension of tears are about to break, so i had to press pause. I'm going to have to finish this one later. I've been playing guitar and writing songs for 25 years and I will say this song is a masterpiece.
Thank You. I've just sold my little ranch in Missouri, my cattle, tractors & left a ministry to retire to Tennessee. My old Border collie work partner just died. I've just had a stroke & my wife has stage three lung cancer. I am pastoring a small church but my heart is a little bent right now. This song is a blessing. I'm an old days radio announcer & I can pick talent. I ask that ya'll keep it family and keep it fun. Life is so short, so enjoy it as much as you can.

I want to give credit to Mr and Mrs Petersen for doing such a fine job raising a family of tight loving togetherness. In this world in these days it's rare to see siblings interacting with each other and getting along so well. It's obvious like I used to hear growing up that a family that prays together, stays together. You guys a model family! So I never hear anything about the father...?

Their dad retired from a career in the Air Force, which as also having served in the military (Army) I saw how hard that can be on raising a family. This is what makes this family even more exceptional as far as role models are concerned!
Jon Petersen is a Physician in Branson. The Petersen’s are not only accomplished musicians, but have strong educational backgrounds. Great role models.
Great job! Such an awesome song! God allows 'U turns" and we can return to Him! The prodigal son came to his senses and he decided to go home to his father. His father was watching and waiting for him. His father ran to him while he was still a long ways off. He kissed him and put a ring on his finger and had a huge celebration! That is what God does for us too!
My husband went home 3 and 1/2 years ago, when my time comes, I am ready! God Bless!

That was so incredibly beautiful.
It's hard to pick one, but I think this is my favorite song from The Petersens, and that's saying something because they have so many great ones in my opinion (both covers and originals). Maybe that will change over time, but this one is just so beautifully written, played and sung (especially on the album). The violinist has such a sweet & delicate voice generally which contrasts well with her powerful and often fiery violin playing. It really sounds great. They're all great.

I take exception with the one negative comment that I have seen on this video. I have only been following this group for about 10 days, but I find them to be very talented, honest, engaging, and a blessing for the ears and soul. I look forward to acquiring some of their albums.

I can identify with this song. As someone who fell into the grips of alcohol at a young age, I was very foolish and turned my back on love. There is no going back, there is no changing things, no matter how many regrets or how many tears.
