This house was sold in 1975, 1997, 2010, and 2017. It's been renovated inside and out, and wow, it is absolutely gorgeous now. It's more modern and open, and brighter. I love the house, but while I don't believe it to be haunted, nor do I believe in all that demonic stuff in the movie, I don't know... the dark and heavy feelings about what occurred there 46 years ago, might prevent me from living there.
Nothing stays haunted forever. This prevalent preloaded belief/expectation that "once haunted always haunted" comes from where? Why does everyone believe this, and assert this precondition to every haunting? It's absurd frankly. It has no basis in reality so it isn't a sound basis for belief or disbelief. I agree it's not haunted now. Poltergeists start like a shot and they end like a shot. There's never a permanent haunting anywhere, ever. That's not how it works. For previously haunted locations, people visit them and interpret every tiny thing they observe slightly out of the ordinary as evidence of a ghost.

Excellent - well done - I really appreciate the work to put it together and the chance to see it from that perspective. That house is huge - I felt like I was walking through it. I grew up in a big old house on Long Island, NY. I can relate to the lay out - although the Defeo house is much bigger. The third floor is amazing. Thanks for posting.
Real scary house the homes back in 1974 were dark and gloomy it wasn't a nice house back then just huge.... I wouldn't go down in that dungeon basement no way out no windows........ No matter how nice the renovations are the house has a dark entity attached to it which is why everyone keeps moving out.... Can't shake that feeling
Yeah - there certainly is some kind of a depressing atmosphere, eerie, uncanny chill to this house. You can sense it. Some of the decor in the 70s was dark, traditional and very staid. Light and bright colours would've added some cheerfulness to the place
@@Pinkdolly1000 There is a secret room in the basement which is coloured red on the walls, this room wasn't on the original plans. Although it's just the size of a cupboard (later revealed just to be a storage space) it's still very creepy!
@@Daninapan Yeah - I know - but why should they have a small space like that painted red- tucked away in a corner in such a huge basement. It clearly served a purpose. Some say that it was painted red to ward of evil spirits because that area appeared to be a gateway for them to enter into our world. It’s kinda creepy😱
@Melanie Jarrett I know it's a beautiful home. I would love to see the inside, not due to what happened, just see that huge 4 story home. Wow really. That's nice. I'ma look them up. Do you know if they are from NY or if any of them knew her or is this a newer group?
@Melanie Jarrett So many unanswered questions. I just knew Ronnie would tell it all before passing away. Yes doll if you can find that interview I would love to see it. Thank you.
Whoever lives there must be paying an outrageous heating bill with all of those huge, open hallways. I lived in a three story Victorian, which was bigger than this house. The third floor hallway was enclosed and we didn't heat it in the winter. Still, the heating bill was outrageous.
Lol😁 It sure has alot of potential - it's kinda dark, eerie and desolate looking though. This is actually where Ronny Junior was sitting and watching a television movie about war when he stated that a hooded dark demon with black hands handed him a gun to shoot all his family.
The price of the house is scary enough. I don’t believe it’s haunted in any way. There’s been 2 deaths in the house I live in now, and no strange things happen. But it’s affordable!
There are a lot of houses that people have died in that we don’t know about. If you don’t know then you don’t have any fears about living there. It’s only when you know that some people freak out and their imagination goes wild! This world has been around a long time. I’m sure our houses are built on the dust of people. I’ll bet that when you drive down highways you’re driving over the dust of dead people.

Creepy house. Even without the murders.

Great video. Try to re-up load with creepy music if you can. That would give it an eerie feel. Good work though.
Like the music from the movie I can do that

such a small kitchen for such a big house!!😂😩

True but not a lot of homes have had six people brutally murdered by a family member.
It doesn't matter in our local area if we buy of build or move in to a house first of all we put a puja or anything instead of just moving in.
What is a puja?
