Just re-watched the documentary. Whatever happened, it marked Danny for life. I kept wanting to give him a hug, despite his aggressiveness. Just to say, "I believe you lived through something extraordinary". I even liked the Warrens in this one. Normally, I think they're hinky, Danny genuinely seemed to love Lorraine and to be grateful for her support.
I thought it a little odd that a rough, tough guy like Danny has such strong religious beliefs- he wanted to kick anyone off the set who didn't believe in God.
To all the skeptics why didn't any of the Defeo's wake up as they were shot one by one in the sleeping position with a large caliber rifle? No neighbors heard the shots either.
@@atenparanormalI have lived in haunted house, Its a fact for me, material facts are often what people just CHOOSE to believe, If u don't believe in this stuff maybe u need to get a another job.
Maybe they didn’t wake up because whatever voices the oldest son heard in his head probably sound proof the windows and the Defeo’s must’ve been in a deep sleep or the devil did something to keep them from waking up. It’s a lot to think about.
I think it is not about people being Skeptics per se, I believe that some people are less sensitive to energy around them, which doesn't allow for them to have any time of experience (deceased relative contacting to full on unearthly contact), and this allows them to use the scientific comment if I can't see it, smell it, touch it - it ain't so. Then there are the folks who have some to severe sensitivity - you know the ones who are like your pets and can tell when there is a change in the environment (supernatural to earth's core changing). And then there are the few in between the two extremes, which can sense something, and need to know more in order to make sense of what occurs/ed.
I read once that when they bought the house it still contained lots of furniture already, and when they moved out later, that this is the stuff that they actually left behind. Anyone else ever hear about that?
In the book, Jay Anson says they bought a number of items from the DeFeo estate. They needed the extra furniture and it was right there. I think when they left they didn't want ANYTHING from that house, not even the stuff they brought when they moved in.
@@AJPrice-cg5ip, the furniture was included at $400. and part of the purchase agreement (research 112 Ocean Ave, Amityville, NY (it is now 108 Ocean Ave). I'm surprised they lasted 28 days, from what the reports say happened to them. According to one person, supposedly an owner, the story is all a HOAX. However, I think there has to be some truth to it, or the city wouldn't have agreed to have the address changed, nor allow all the hype to continue disrupting lives which manage the property. Besides you know what they say about buildings near / on water
There are elements of truth to that also from what I read...the author Jay Ansons daughter died shortly after the book was written...his manuscript caught fire mysteriously...and he died shortly himself after the book was written
Christopher reached out to me wanting his part of the story out there close to the time Danny's documentary was going to be out. He also spoke of George being involved in occult practices in the house and being verbally and physically abusive toward all 3 of them. Christopher hated George so much, the first chance he had, he took his original sir name back and wanted nothing to do with Lutz any more. He was was on a call with me from a Denny's and was looking for anyone in the paranormal community to help him pretty much tell his part of the story as well. He came across me on Facebook and asked me to call him. I saw the film and it was of course after talking to Christopher and I think they are pretty much telling the same story. I honestly believe they are really wanting the truth finally out in the open and get rid of the bull that has always surrounded the case. I put Christopher in touch with everyone I know in the field, but only ever saw small interviews from him after that. I wish I could have helped him more somehow. He seemed so sad and frustrated, I really did feel for him and Danny, and missy as well, though she seems to want to just let it be and hope it one day dies. They put a very painful and sad spin on one of the most infamous ghost stories in the world.
It's clearly understandable how Daniel Lutz could harbor anguish towards one or both parents, but iconically against his stepfather, George. Ten years old, the eldest of his siblings, considered the protector of his mother and siblings, until walks in, super- Alpha male personality. He's displaced, not understanding his role, and not being respected in his pre-pubescent mind. A ten year old, having moved, making friends, noticing gender differences, attempting to find structure, acceptance, and his place in their world. Then all their lives are in upheaval, for whatever cause. Be it supernatural, be it whomever or whatever provoked the events that drove them from their home. If he is filled with anger, I believe it's well-founded anger from HIS perspective, because that's the perspective that matters. That of a 10yr old who had a lot of his early persona building and world forming years vanish. That time is gone and he has been left with an unsteady childhood with visions, memories, and experiences that are not common.
+ursaltydog That's probably why divorce and remarriage are condemned by Jesus Christ. I've never understood weak people and why they aren't strong enough to remain separate and alone, especially when they have kids by somebody else.
xisobelx373 Actually, I have experienced paranormal events. And I was being supportive and empathetic towards him. The response I gave was in response to those who were putting him down in belief that he was benefiting somehow from his experiences.
I have watched the first version and the second one. I've always been so fascinated with haunted houses. Especially this one. My whole life I lived in a haunted house, the. We moved to a mobile home/house where a man killed himself and his family. So I like to read about stuff like this. Makes me feel sane
You don't know so you cant say they don't exist. I have had a full bodied apparition show itself to me and my younger brother , and my mom while she was doing laundry in the basement. just because your eyes don't see something doesn't mean its not there. Humans only see a small range of the light spectrum.
Definitely correct on the Hollywood part of it but the rip part I wish that more would learn to do this while the suffering are still Alive. So they can 'rest in their own peace of mind' while alive. I say that as many seem to care for others only After they have passed on*. Why not help each other Now? Can't understand that.
I will admit there's something that's not right with the whole story but why is it that the three owners after the Lutz's never had one thing happened?
There’s some claims - fueled by the claims Danny Lutz made in My Amityville Horror and a few things that have been said either by George Lutz or William Weber *about* George - that the *house* wasn’t haunted/possessed/whatever, but rather that *George* was. Nothing paranormal about the DeFeo murders, and everyone since has been fine, because George wasn’t there to cause a problem. It’s a decent enough explanation, I suppose, and an interesting idea to consider… but I still don’t buy it. Nothing happened in that house outside of Butch (and maybe Dawn) snapping under the abuse of his (/their) father, I am quite certain.
One thing the Cromarty's failed to mention after there debunking attempts , they called a medium in to have the house investigated , she declined to comment when interviewed Plus her son died tragically in the top floor bedroom either of suicide or a tragic drug overdose.
theres been 5 since, and if they experienced anything id say they were smart enough to not say anything and sell it. especially after seeing the lawsuits the lutz's had over it
I do wish people would stop discussing the “ghost boy” photograph. Any idiot can see it’s someone crouched down behind the door frame wearing glasses; the light is reflecting off the lenses of the glasses, and even the frames of the glasses can very clearly be seen.
if george couldn't afford mortgage payments or heater repair, he'd've simply resold the house rather than abandoning it and claiming it was haunted. get rich quick scheme? gimme a break! that's too big of a gamble. nobody is going to abandon everything they own unless they have a 100% guarantee that it'll work.
Lostinthe50s81• YOUR RIGHT I AGREE. PLUS GEORGE LUTZ HAD HIS OWN BUSINESS AND IF IT CAME OUT THAT GEORGE WAS LYING IT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE DESTROYED HIS BUSINESS. GEORGE AND KATHY LUTZ PASSED EVERY LIE DETECTOR TEST THEY WERE GIVEN AND THEY WENT TO THEIR GRAVES SAYING IT WAS NOT A HOAX THAT IT WAS TRUE. LIKE ED WARREN SAID THE DEVIL WANTS PEOPLE TO BELIEVE THAT HE DOESN'T EXIST BECAUSE IF PEOPLE THINK THE DEVIL EXISTS THEN THEY WOULD HAVE TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS GOOD IN THE WORLD AND THE GOOD IS GOD. ATHEISTS DON'T WANT ANYONE TO BELIEVE THAT THE AMITYVILLE HORROR IS TRUE BECAUSE IF THEY SAY THEY BELIEVE IT IS TRUE THEY WOULD HAVE TO BELIEVE IN GOD BECAUSE THEY ARE SAYING THERE IS A GOD. THEY DON'T WANT ANYONE TO BELIEVE IT IS TRUE AND THE DEVIL WANTS US TO BELIEVE IT AIN'T TRUE. THEM TALKING ABOUT THE GHOST BOY PICTURE LOOK ON GOOGLE AND LOOK AT THE PICTURE THERES ANOTHER GHOST OR SOMETHING IN THE ROOM BEHIND THE BOY IN THE PICTURE IT HAS RED EYES
I own the DVD. I found it very well done. Does it prove the house was/is haunted? No. But it proves the family was and Danny Lutz still is. Whatever happened there defined their whole lives.
@@arthurmorgan7086hose involved can never forget. They have to live with the memories... therefore they are haunted by the memories. Having to adapt and adjust their present life with horrors in their past.
Spirits and Demons can travel. They may very well had been in the house and than left and very possible followed the Lutz Family, or they may have went to inhabit another place where it can tear apart more families.
The Lutz's were Catholic. They're not allowed to take authority over foul spirits without an exorcist. The Bible says that such powerful demons go out by fasting and prayer. Jesus said it Himself. I believe that the house was bought by some born again Christians who got together with their church and pastor, got fasted and prayed up and got rid of them for good: "In Jesus' name, get out!"
also, the lutz's never went to the press to begin with. they intended to keep the ordeal to themselves. attorney william weber is the one who outed their story to the press with many distortions to their story, thus forcing them to come forward to correct those distortions.
Sickens me to the stomach to think George Lutz dabbled in the occult knowing fine and well a family had been murdered there just over a year before, then cashes in on it, If anything happened to anyone in that house, George caused it.
George Lutz did not need to be told by the estate agent that it was the house where the De Feo family was murdered. He probably knew it was the house as he lived not to far away. An entire family being murdered would of been National news, even in a big country like the United States ,not just local headline news
@@zachcline7555 strange that "demonic activity" only surfaced for the Lutz family in 28 days but not to others living in there since 1924, don't you think?
They did not have the same energy dynamic. The Cromarty's seemed like a stable couple. Probably the owners that came later simply didn't have the same angry energy that would be needed to awaken whatever was there. Or conversely, the darker spirits there may have moved on for lack of anything to feed on.
@@AJPrice-cg5ip my house here in Chicago was built in 1896...old Victorian on the north side of the city that I bought SUPER cheap & restored. It was rumored to be super haunted. I've been here since 2017 & I haven't experienced anything. I've had people visit me who claim to have seen or heard things, but, even though I bought this house specifically because it was supposed to be haunted & I love all things paranormal, I haven't seen or heard anything personally. The basement of the house has a heavy feeling, but that's it.
I think the case is about the timing, the right place, right time, right combo of people. A brief moment in supernatural history.. I remember reading the book about how the family brought some of the furniture belonging to the murdered family into the home. I thought that was a mini spark that brought energy into the home
Ed and Lorraine Warren said that whatever entity inhabited that house actually followed them clear across the country. She said it was real, alright. Being that they were strong Christians, the entity couldn't fight that, so the Lutz's indeed had that same entity there with them before they left.
Ed and Lorraine are lying scumbags making money off dumb people. Watch the interview of the family that lives there now and u will see them saying it's a hoax/scam. Do u know how much money has been made off this scam? We need to stop supporting these liars. The moron being interviewed has zero clue and is just repeating lies. If u talk to the people who have actually lived there will tell u there is nothing to it.
Nobody leaves their house after only 28 days leaving all their new things and personal belongings behind, including their clothes, pictures, etc. in absolute terror from a brand new home for no reason at all. I remember years ago the Lutz`s were on the Merv Griffìen Show and they were still terrified as Merv was holding Cathy`s hand and she could not stop shaking. They were both frightened. The Priest was on with them and was afraid. I never forgot that and that was before I read the book. Anything to do with messing around with Satan guarantees serious trouble. I believe in Jesus Christ as they did and that is what saved the Lutz`s. Both Cathy and George Lutz are gone now. Please have respect when speaking of the deceased. Thank you.
Lorraine Tauson I absolutely agree. Let's even pretend for a moment they decided they were so seriously upside down money wise that they had to do something fantastic to get out from under They would have pondered something like insurance fraud. Burning the house down. They certainly would not have said hey let's leave every single thing behind. Say there was a haunting and try and get a book or movie deal out of it! No! That type of precedent for book deals like that didn't even exist yet. They encountered something so scary they felt they had to leave right then with only the clothes on their back. Now, once they got out and talked to that scumbag Weber they did begin to think they could make a few bucks from it. Sadly, their actions after the events did forever ruin their credibility even when they tried to right the ship.
Just watched 'My Amityville Horror'. If you're looking for more info on the activities of the house, you won't find it in this documentary. If you want to see a classic textbook example of an angry kid who grew up to be an angry man, you'll find THAT. He's been wounded psychologically/emotionally/spiritually and it shows. I think he was too difficult for his mom to handle when he was growing up, that she let him go at 15, I think. Daniel has a lot of resentment, which I totally understand, but at some point you have to release it so you can be a healthy human being.
nomopms1 100% agreed. I just finished watching it too and it was basically a whine fest by Daniel. I cringe when I found out he has kids, he's still mentally 10 years old himself. He never grew emotionally past that point. He seems far more traumatized by George than by the events in the house. Glad I only rented it. Not even worth the 4.00 I paid. To those out there who are curious, "DON'T DO IT! IT WAS BORING AND BAD! RUN! WATCH SOMETHING ELSE!"

All the movie watchers and book readers can't let go of the house. Listen to what Danny is saying. It's not the house, it's him. His brother has said very similar things. They were haunted, and it followed them. There's no such thing as a haunted house that lasts forever (never a documented case of this) yet for some unknown baseless reason, that's what everyone is conditioned to think, and to use as the litmus test to decipher the truth from the fiction.
There was weird stuff going on in the home before the murders. The Defaoe parents visited a church, (I believe in Canada), for spiritual help...the father claimed he felt some peace after attending it. (sorry the church name escapes me at the moment).
They also say they don't have any records of any priest going to bless the house, but saying that more than likely something must be really wrong with the place somewhere down the line, i guess we will never know.
MrDeeky74 Thats not accurate. The priest that the Lutz parents asked, *did* come over and he *did* report an experience in the sewing room. He also called the house and the phones would go crackly. Laura Didario, the reporter who was there, has a lot of details, which have been misrepresented or forgotten by people who weren't there. Thanks :)
The Cromarty's, the couple that bought the house after the Lutz's left had a 19 year old son that died while in the house from a heart attack. They had experiences of their own. They left the house a year after they bought it and lived elsewhere while it was listed. There is something there.
I lived in a very haunted house , I know what entities can do Ronnie defeo could have been possessed demons live for chaos and thrive on family's who may not have the typical normal lifestyle . my house stopped a kitchen fire that should have burned the whole house down Explain how that happens. My house was like the poltergeist movie and amityville horror wrapped into one its in Lafayette Indiana and I feel bad for the owners now, I avoid driving Anywhere near that house to this day so they do not follow me home.
Sam Grammer Ronnie Defeo has changed His claims several times since His trial that He was possessed. In one interview He claims He wasn't, And in another interview He says He was. To do what Ronnie Defeo did, He had to be possessed by some kind of evil. You wrote "demons live for chaos and thrive on family's who may not have the typical normal lifestyle. That is exactly right. Deceit that causes chaos is one of many tools they use in their assault on people. Disfunction is another tool. What family in this day and age does not have disfunction or a normal lifestyle? Even cartoon families are screwed up to the point that leads us to believe disfunction is normal in every way. I am thankful and glad You do not have to live there still. These entities main goal is the destruction of us and our families.
Sorry for what you had to live through, but the Amyville house is and was never haunted. Butch had made that up of being possesed and admitted to have made it up, as one of many stories. He confessed wanting the money for drugs and under drugs commited the crime but with no clear reconnection. Georg and Kathy made it all up for the book over several bootles of wine and Dan got paid for this interview. No-one has or had experienced anything supernatural in that house from when it was built in 1924 till now - besides the many tresspassers and cars stopping to observe.
Your right deadreck. Entities (ghosts) exist. Humans see a certain spectrum of light.....ghosts live in a huge spectrum and are constantly sharing voices, full body apparitions, and etc. plus to all the people who don't believe ghosts, they exists. How can you explain all the strange things that happens to you, paranormally?
Great interview. I have absolutely no doubt at all that the photo of the "ghost child" from the house is simply Paul Bartz. With the sheer number of photos taken and so many people around the chances of someone being caught in a camera on a timer are pretty high. I'd be more surprised if that was the only photo from that night that shows someone inadvertently getting in the way. It's certainly a creepy photo but when you consider that it's either the single photo that shows anything at all from that night and not only that but a near "full body apparition", or simply one of the people who we know was in the house at the time it was taken then it being Paul Bartz is the only logical conclusion.
@@jtoland2333 Why do you believe this though? Whether we believe the place is haunted or not, that's blatantly just a photo of one of the researchers who was present that night.
Agree. When I first saw the photo I could see the "boy" in the picture was wearing glasses and the light was reflecting off them. If you look at some of the enlargements of the photo, you can see the edge of the guy's shorts...he's crouching down, probably trying to avoid the camera flash; he just didn't succeed. I believe in ghosts, I just don't think this is a pic of one.
I doubt the new owner would let you inside, let alone on their private property. That house is beautiful, inside and out. It is such a tragedy, what happened in that house on Novenber 13. 1974. May the DeFeo, family rest in Heavenly Peace. While its.not my place to judge I hope that POS Ronnie DeFeo, lives to be a very old man and rot in his jail cell. God, forgive me but, I just can't make sense out of killing your family (for any reason) or having someone do it for you. Unfortunately, we will never have the true story. Isn't it sad how more people are interested in some ghost story rather than the true horror that took place when 6, members of one family were murdered?
Yep. There’s not a thing wrong with that house. I believe in the possibility of spirits and demons. I’ve had experiences in my life that, until science advances enough to 100% rule it out, I will always question as “hallucination or haunting?” while leaning towards “haunting.” There are places I do my best to avoid and practices I have adopted out of concern there is something not right with them. But a sleepover at 108/112 Ocean Avenue? So long as you send me in with a case of Vanilla Coke, a bag of Goldfish and a decent book, my iPad or Vita so I have something to do, I’ll sit there as long as you want and guarantee not a damn thing will happen.
AH is great because it keeps on giving. It's like the JFK assassination, there's always another personality or curiosity to dig out. Big Ronnie DeFeo writing pop music tunes for swing bands? The Sopranos meet the House On Haunted Hill? The Lutz Cut of 28 Days Later? Merv Griffin, occultist? Keep it coming.
I wish Missy would talk, since she supposedly had somewhat of a relationship with the supernatural in that house. I read somewhere that the only thing she ever said was she was only 5 and enough had been said about it already.
Siiiiiiigh. If you believe in god! good. If you don't, fine. Let's let each other have their point of view without disrespecting each other over it. There's no need to get sanctimonious or ugly.
That photo of the ghost boy is scary as hell. I think it's the ghost of little John DeFeo, the youngest DeFeo child, only 9 yrs old when he was murdered. 😢

Everyone always focusing on how they supposedly left all their belongings. When they purchased the house the furniture etc was all left from the Defao family it was included in the price, so they didn't really leave much behind.
If you look at photos taken by people who came after they moved out, it looks like a family disappeared in the middle of their day. Dishes in the sink, food on the counter, shoes, clothes, toiletries, toys, books...as if they went to run an errand and never came back. Tables and chairs don't make up the majority of people's stuff.
Much is made of HOW six people could have been shot in the original killings without someone waking up. Carbon monoxide CAN be piped into bedrooms. Perhaps this explains it?
plain and simply, the Lutzs' got in over their head with a mortgage on a house they COULD NOT AFFORD and tried to wriggle out of it....the only HORROR that happened in that house was the cold-blooded murder of 6 people by a son who should've been run outta there 5yrs before it ever happened!
all you have to do is crunch the numbers, insurance, utilities, property taxes, kids expenses to name a few...the only 'horror' in Amityville was ronald defeo, who should've been put away a while back, blowing away his entire family...
I've watched this documentary and read whatever I could find on the story. I'm not trolling here and people are entitled to believe whatever they want, as I am entitled to my own opinion. This story is utter nonsense. I'm reasonably certain that Danny believes what he says. (Although, it's completely possible that he's continuing on his own parents fabrication with the knowledge that the story is false) This is nothing more than an impressionable and suggestible child being convinced by his reprehensibly irresponsible parents of a series of scary tales. The reasons for his parents lies are irrelevant. The fact remains that the story is ludicrous. As children, we are pre-programmed to accept what we are told by adults as fact. Particularly by our parents. It's a survival mechanism. "Don't cross the road without an adult" "Don't speak to strangers" "Fire is hot" "Don't play near water" You get the point. If a child was to question or counter everything that was put to them by an adult then the entire human race would probably be extinct long before now. So along the same line of thought, a child is incapable of distinguishing what is fact or what is fiction with regard to guidance they receive from their parents. (Up to a certain point or age of course) I'm sure we all recall our own childhoods and that we would recall with some degree of certainty if the events in question had happened or not in our own home but remember, this guy has had his head filled with all kinds of stories and explanations for events in his young life that can only be provided by his parents or people close to him. We all remember as kids believing in various make believe entities. (Santa, Tooth Fairy etc etc which are all in good fun of course) IF, as in the case of Danny he was not told at any point in his young life that this cock and bull story was not real then it is reasonable to think that as this particular tale is not common amongst his peer group such as Santa that he would carry it from his youth into later life, as there would be no counter to the story. I feel genuinely sorry for this guy. He has essentially grown up convinced of his parents scary tales, which no doubt has been reinforced by mass media attention, lending a significant degree of authenticity to the child. Somewhere along the line for this guy, fiction morphed into fact. I'm pretty sure that if this case was to take place today that his parents would be charged psychological child abuse. It's interesting how we don't see any hocus pocus stories popping up anywhere outside of maybe the 3rd world these days? And why is that? Because people are much more highly educated and science/technology/evolved minds can explain many of the previously unknowns or mysteries. At the very least, they can certainly dismiss all and any of these spooky stories. Look, don't get me wrong. I enjoy a scary story or horror movie as much as the next person which is why I have find myself here in the first place. It's all good. But please don't suggest for a moment that any of this nonsense is anything more than make believe. If you truly do believe in it to any degree of seriousness (spook stories/basically the Amity story) then at best you need to get yourself down to a library and visit the psych/science section. At worst, you should be ashamed of yourself for contributing to the slowing of human evolution. What REALLY SCARES ME is the reason for my lengthy post. (That reason is the majority of the posts I've read beneath this clip) I am quite familiar with the story as are most people my age. My friend recently showed me this documentary and of course after looking at it, my thoughts on "the Amityville Haunting" were only solidified. Folks, it's 2015!? I'm assuming that the majority of people who have posted, proclaiming that they are believers in this story and that the rest of us are lacking in faith of the "unknown" are more than ten years old?? I assume you don't believe in Santa or the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy?? Then why in ghost stories??? Grow up! .

Most people really wanna believe stuff like this and i admit i do as well but like u i question and when u keep an open mind and research any topic or story like this u find out its more likely b.s. ...i have yet to find any picture or story or see with my own eyes any ghosts that would make me believe in them...even tho some are convincing but i always find an explaination for it...i do believe some people like this guy here really believe there own b.s. but for the ones that make all this shit up it really pisses me off cause if we were all rational and had to tell the truth well it be interesting to know ghost exsist and aliens visit us ect. Plus it aint hard to make this shit up most people who click on these videos or watch them on tv where ever already believe it so make the music scary tell a story no one can prove wrong and it becomes fact to them....im not just a skeptic i always give things a chance but after u look it all up and weigh in the pros and cons u cant be rational and say this aint bull shit
All three of the children claimed there were supernatural events. All of what they feel & see will be almost entirely different for each person ( Lutzes) that lived there. Zero Hoax
I agree with another post if you dabble with the unknown like Ouija boards and you open a door Way , I think that's exactly what George puts did and it fed off there energy. From what I've heard the owners now haven't had a problem with the house.
FireHaxxerOfDoom666 I heard an interview with Christopher Lutz and he even too that George was doing things involved with the occult so yeah whatever was going on in that house was brought on by whatever George Lutz was doing
FireHaxxerOfDoom666 ! I've heard that every one of the owners since have had paranormal experiences but have chosen not to go public with it. Due to all ofbthe hype and attention it would have caused.
I read that also and that also who ever buys the house MUST sign a waiver stating that if anything goes on in the house they are not allowed to talk about it publicly which I believe especially how often it sells so yes I believe the house was and still is haunted.
It was last sold in 2010. I actually saw some of the pics of the interior. It's a lovely looking place! I liked the sun porch especially. Don't know if it's inhabited now.

They should have as many exorcists, psychics and Indian healers as possible go onto the property and try to heal, send the spirits and demons back to where they came from and seal the portholes. What i don't understand is why did Ed & Lorraine Warren keep a museum of alleged collection of haunted objects and not destroy them? This was very strange behaviour, it's almost like they revelled in the idea of the dark side.

I spoke to George Lutz years ago on a radio show about Amityville. He was a bit of a jerk. Anyway prior to him answering questions the radio show failed on the air and then they came back on after 10 minutes or so. The host said they had never experienced that prior to George. They also said batteries in the studio also drained and the lights wouldn't come on.

Remember he claimed that he witnessed George move objects with psychic power. It's all BS.
To all the skeptics why didn't any of the Defeo's wake up as they were shot one by one in the sleeping position with a large caliber rifle? No neighbors heard the shots either.
@@atenparanormal Th answer may not be the nice and tidy one people are so eager to hold onto either,
@@atenparanormal Your known material facts,
@@atenparanormalI have lived in haunted house, Its a fact for me, material facts are often what people just CHOOSE to believe, If u don't believe in this stuff maybe u need to get a another job.

Spirits and Demons can travel. They may very well had been in the house and than left and very possible followed the Lutz Family, or they may have went to inhabit another place where it can tear apart more families.
If George was dabbling in the occult he prob BROUGHT in the demons and they left with him,Thats not to say the house is nit haunted in itself,
I have heard this too
The second Amityville books covers how they were followed to their new home.

They did not have the same energy dynamic. The Cromarty's seemed like a stable couple. I think the case is about the timing, the right place, right time, right combo of people. A brief moment in supernatural history.. Interesting observations
Ed and Lorraine Warren said that whatever entity inhabited that house actually followed them clear across the country. She said it was real, alright. Being that they were strong Christians, the entity couldn't fight that, so the Lutz's indeed had that same entity there with them before they left.

To do what Ronnie Defeo did, He had to be possessed by some kind of evil.

I believe it is neither a ghost nor a child. Its a demon.

They left everything they owned. Because the house came with some furniture (no "etc" and no "all") doesn't change that fact.

BlacKnightRising they lived there 28 days, their first mortgage payment wasn't even due yet.
all you have to do is crunch the numbers, insurance, utilities, property taxes, kids expenses to name a few...the only 'horror' in Amityville was ronald defeo, who should've been put away a while back, blowing away his entire family...
im going to look at some cats now...
I've watched this documentary and read whatever I could find on the story. I'm not trolling here and people are entitled to believe whatever they want, as I am entitled to my own opinion. This story is utter nonsense. I'm reasonably certain that Danny believes what he says. (Although, it's completely possible that he's continuing on his own parents fabrication with the knowledge that the story is false)
This is nothing more than an impressionable and suggestible child being convinced by his reprehensibly irresponsible parents of a series of scary tales.
(Up to a certain point or age of course)
I'm sure we all recall our own childhoods and that we would recall with some degree of certainty if the events in question had happened or not in our own home but remember, this guy has had his head filled with all kinds of stories and explanations for events in his young life that can only be provided by his parents or people close to him. We all remember as kids believing in various make believe entities. (Santa, Tooth Fairy etc etc which are all in good fun of course)
IF, as in the case of Danny he was not told at any point in his young life that this cock and bull story was not real then it is reasonable to think that as this particular tale is not common amongst his peer group such as Santa that he would carry it from his youth into later life, as there would be no counter to the story.
Grow up! .
Dave B Well said. You would like Shattered Hopes The True Story Of The Amityville Murders. It touches upon the hoax and has an interviews with all the people that knew the Defeo's and including Ronnie Jr. Take a look at it...
+Dave B Fuck me....can you keep your long speeches for your next biography ...
Omg i couldnt read that you bored the life outa me
creepy music, very effective!
I read about the murders how can 1 prison murders people without waking people up
2 ways: Either he had help or he had a silencer on the weapon. No silencer was found, but that doesn't rule out there being one.
All three of the children claimed there were supernatural events. All of what they feel & see will be almost entirely different for each person ( Lutzes) that lived there. Zero Hoax
I LOVE YOU DAWN
I agree with another post if you dabble with the unknown like Ouija boards and you open a door
Way , I think that's exactly what George puts did and it fed off there energy.
Yes
FireHaxxerOfDoom666 ! well its for sale now, so i wonder why
I read that also and that also who ever buys the house MUST sign a waiver stating that if anything goes on in the house they are not allowed to talk about it publicly which I believe especially how often it sells so yes I believe the house was and still is haunted.
It's a shame they can't get an interview with the girl who had the friend jody, in the film, the locked closet bit too.
After volunteering in Rwanda after the genocide I don't want to sleep anywhere children have been murdered, haunted or not.
Damn dude😖😖😖😖😟
Is this house inhabited at present?
It was last sold in 2010. I actually saw some of the pics of the interior. It's a lovely looking place! I liked the sun porch especially. Don't know if it's inhabited now.
Yes
Put it this way America we are all going to pass away sooner or later ,we can say this and that ,but we will find out in the long run what happened when we die.. plain and simple I believe we all come back, and to me if you love dogs you will come back as a dog ,cats same way horses, same way, dolphins, same way, bird lovers same way, ,if your a bad person murderer, preditaor,or some kind of screwed up life I say you get choices and, schooled before you come back as a new born, always believed this our Lord will give us:choices on what we can and can not do,I say there is a hell for certain people ,but if you think of it don't we live in hell here on Earth???? We all have openions, openions are like assholes we all have one. So we can set here all day say this say that we will never no money will make you say and do things plant things make it look good but this is my openion whether anyone likes it or not but what I say is the truth, we will all find out when we get to that realm!!!!!
The ghost boy in picture looks exactly like a boy who got shot to dead in that house. I believe everything that said was true.
Ghost boy just looks like a boy the same age, not the exact same likeness.
It's Paul Bartz, he's one of the investigators who worked with the Warrens. Paul had the same hair part as the "boy" and shape of the nose. The glowing eyes are the reflection of the camera flash off his glasses.
charls kim Totally agree!
The two DeFeo boys were Mark and John-Mathew, not Jody.
MontcomHorror very true!
Art Bell interviewed George Lutz listen it explains very clearly what happened
It was george fault he invited the evil spirits into the house if you dapple into the unknoown theres going to be trouble some things should be well left along
@jackass Mitchell Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
@@jeffreycoogan09 Extraordinary evidence would require extraordinary science that we are not sophisticated enough to have yet. Using physical science to try to understand something ethereal . . . No wonder there are problems.
@MontcomHorror Indeed.
Whoever told you that you could write english was lying to you
They should have as many exorcists, psychics and Indian healers as possible go onto the property and try to heal, send the spirits and demons back to where they came from and seal the portholes. They have no place among the living. People want to live there, and deserve to live a peaceful life, not be tormented and die early from the nonsense of evil that does not belong on earth.
Well I think it’s true cause I believe in ghosts and I also lived in a house that was haunted
What i don't understand is why did Ed & Lorraine Warren keep a museum of alleged collection of haunted objects and not destroy them? This was very strange behaviour, it's almost like they revelled in the idea of the dark side.
Because they were hucksters.
Agree
People need to belive in God and Satan . This is not a joke people.

Daniel Lutz discusses his "unfortunate gift" in My Amityville Horror hitting select theaters, VOD, iTunes, and digital download MARCH 15th!
I believe there story evil lives everywhere but you never really know how it will appear and how different it will appear with different people
Yeah, mine too. We play scrabble in the "red room" at Xmas.
Interesting
my relatives are happy in the house.
I would like to see pics of he house now inside if that's fine
Evil exists all right, it exists in humans. It's not supernatural, but hey, I like a good story.
+Anne Boleyn Being evil isn't just a human thing at all....
Yes it is. All it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing. Animals are not deliberately evil but humans are
Evil exists in all levels of human & animal ..PERIOD
MrDeeky74 Animals cannot form intent, they go by instinct. It is humans who plan murder and cruelty out of jealousy, spite and revenge. Humans who plan annihilating wars for profit and greed, humans who exploit other humans AND amimals. Humans who live high at the expense of the downtrodden
Thanks for sharing!
Legomovies, the house is still there but has changed colour and address.....No longer Ocean Avenue 112.....Has another number as i have read.
Amina Hussain Im pretty sure its 108 now, a guy did a vlog and the house looked the same like in the documentary
They changed the upper windows. they are square now.
108
@@postrares yes

The stuff happens before the entity in the house gets someone to kill the rest of the family ...lutz family moved out but don't forget that the stuff also happens with them but their luck they moved out
that house had 3 floors Oney 1 prison muder 6 people Oney 1 min
If you want to know the truth of the ghost boy photo, ask the daughter. It's apparently the little boy she used to play with in her room. She may be frightened of retaliation from the entities.
I gonna live there
scary
Yes this happened , but I only believe in God so these are lost soul's .
6 untimely and traumatic deaths, that would leave it would leave a lot of energy.
