Very nice video...still trying to get use to this thing. I have the galaxy 3 watch and wanted this watch too to compare and will have to confess that the Samsung watch is way easier to set up and deal with with so far. after 9 months, the Tic Watch Pro 3 overheated and stopped working only after going for a 10 min swim in a pool at surface level. Surface Level!! I've showered once or twice with it before with no problems. Now Tic Watch support is telling me it is my fault and will not replace under the 12 month warranty! this is terrible support. I did not go diving with the watch, only swam at surface for a few minutes as it IS rated to be able to do so. I cannot recommend due to this occurance.
About Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3, the company is from China(so does Huawei......), where are the data they collected will send to??? Since China Communist government are required any individual or corporate entity to cooperate with the China government to help intelligence gathering, what are they going to do with the bio metric data collect with the smartwatch???? Are there any alternative choice for the Snapdragon Wear 4100 smartwatch ????
Hi, Yukin! You definitely do make a great point about them being a company from China. The information that they ask for seems pretty standard/ the same as any other America health app that I have used such as my height, weight, age and so on. But they very well may be using other data. I honestly have no clue if they do and, if they do, what they use it for. Thus far, the Tic Watch 3 is the only one that I know of that has it outside of the “RollMe Hero” watch, but that also seems to be a Chinese company.
Wow, I have a Galaxy watch but this looks like a very strong contender, a 2 to 3 day battery? That is impressive I get about 1 and a half days maybe 2 if I am not hard on it. Always great to see you Dave. Excellent video and thank you sir. PS: what did you do with the stick Dave?
The MAN, BRAD! Great to see You as always! I hope You have been doing well! And yes, the battery on this really has been great. Out of the box, the watch is set up for the 3 Day battery, but I cranked up a lot of the settings (Gestures, 15 Screen On, Constant Heart Tracking and some other options) and it still gets a strong 2 - 2.5 Days worth of battery. That being said, I am a firm believer that no matter what I or any other reviewer says, ultimately if something works for You then that is all that matters. If your Galaxy Watch is still doing everything You need it to and You are happy with it, then it is the one for You :) Well, that’s what I think anyway. As for the stick..... I will never tell.
After 1 day of moderate usage I've got 34% left. No 24 hrs monitoring, no sleep monitoring... I think those guys reviewing (not just this channel) are paid by Mobvoi to not saying the truth, or simply Chinese boys have send them with diff batt if they say up to 3 days.. it's my second Tic Watch 3 Ultra, as first one I had to change as from 87% plunged down to 5%... after just 36 hrs... so I know what I'm talking about... to bad, as watch alone is nice piece of 'equipemnt'. I'm returning it back to Amazon heading today Costco for $245 plus tax for Samsung 44mm... (currently on sale 279 down to to 249)... G. luck to all.
Hey, Zawarpz! Thank You for sharing your experience with everyone! I can't speak for other RUclipsrs, but I can say Mobvoi had absolutely no say in my judgment of the watch, and I made that very clear to them before they even sent it out to me. Alongside this, I actually have been genuinely enjoying the watch to this point. If You happen to watch any other reviews on my channel, You'll actually see that I have it on my wrist basically always 😂 I wear it everywhere that I go, still use it for runs, and was using it for phone calls but it got water in it in the shower and now the speakers are messed up 😕 That is my biggest gripe thus far! But battery has still lasted 2.5 Days for me even with tons of notifications and such. I am sorry You have been having a bad experience with it!
@@DavidAVelez1I read the battery to be in full capacity it takes at least 3 cycles of charging/discharging.. It may be a factor here... Also, am not sure how much the Mobvoi's new launcher may affect it... I will keep you posted. One thinkg seems to be GPS (location) when disabled: I disabled it, and right away after 2 hours of usage I see %tage drop got SLOWED DOWN! Maybe it's entire problem... on top of it... IT is still very fresh.. so my plan : i'm recharging it down from 23% back to 100%, with Launcher disabled, 24hrs monitoring disabled (power levels, and sleep) - to me simply these are gimmicks as well as ECG of Samsung.. I don't feel seek, nor have a time to play with it.. To me my smartwatch is for seeing my calories (again, to encourage me for extra efforts) , and most of all my 'phone on me' without my real phone on me, as I have a big house and not often phone close by. That's gr8 seeing and be able to respond with gr8 Google's Messages build in AI responses on the fly... Last thing: it's a pity IT DOES NOT SUPPORT Facebook Messenger :(.. also for this reason I'll be testing Samsung 4.. 0 risk as both Amazon, and Costco have gr8 100% return policy.. why not trying both, and see where it the truth :). Thx for your videos! Should performance without Gps (ACCORDING to one guy opinion; it eats like 6%/hour) will increase , than next thing will be bring back launcher, and indeed if trends (let's hope so) of battery performance increases, may even bring back some other sensors.. Should I get solid 2 days of performance I'll be happy, and even more if without GPS will get solid 3 days.. I am not obsessed with GPS as always have my phone on me - I need to stay in touch with wife/work/kids.
An update: once GPS been turned off; after 1 day of light usage, and turning off 4 the night; got 85%. Way better; way what I was thinking when buying it based my choice because of RUclips reviews... I believe GPS off mostly bring this positive impact, yet to see to what degree the turned off Mobvoi Launcher.
For having this watch for 5 months you lack a LOT of details that would help me to decide if I want to purchase this high end $$$, It works better for me if you stay focus on the watch !!

Nice and creamy 😂 💦
Well now, Alex, that is a water emoji. I have been clickbaited 😡
Seriously, thank You so much fro dropping by!
For having this watch for 5 months you lack a LOT of details that would help me to decide if I want to purchase this high end $$$, It works better for me if you stay focus on the watch !!
Hi, Mitch! I appreciate the Feedback! What did I miss that You would like to see included in these types of videos? I always want to hear what You guys have to say so I can step up my game and be more helpful!
@@DavidAVelez1 I don`t know, Your job is giving me the lesson on the watch, I know if you are spending time in the woods or on the phone with your sis, telling me about stuff that does not pertain to the watch (rehab) Sorry if this sounds rough I just want to hear and see the options of the item, I will be buying.
What is it with Americans and 'it's going to'? It either does or doesn't. I suspect that Americans think by using more words makes them sound more intellectually cleverer ;-)
Awesome review!
Thank You, Titi! It was a fun video to put together! I really appreciate You watching and your support!
