  • Keep in mind, it has limitations. You follow all the same firearm safety rules. Don't only rely on this air pistol for protection, and you need to practice often to shoot accurately. You will also need to buy extra magazines. Hopefully intruders aren't breaking in with a real firearm and if they do that you have a back up plan or beat them to breaching your house.

    Exactly thats all ways i was thinking co2 gun or pellet gun or pcp is better than nothing

    I completely agree in some circumstances a bb gun like these could be effective and i see they penetrated meat in the tests.
    I have actually been shot several times by a bb pistol which shot a steel bb at 400fps at very close range on bare skin and none of the bbs penetrated my skin. It hurt and left a small bruise but never went into me, so im not entirely convinced this test is representative what would actually happen to a human, although i really appreciate you doing this video.
    That being said i still think several shots to the face of an attacker wpuld deter them in most circumstances, as they do hurt.

      Thanks for the comment and feedback. Gotta find something that is similar to human skin, they say pig skin, but I've cut up so many pigs that pig skin is way thicker. And, agreed shooting it from the meat side is def not a true representation what it will do to a human. Now, why did you get shot with a BB gun? 😄

      Steve, did it hurt enough when getting hit at 400 fps, enough to maybe stop someone from attacking you. What's your opinion?

    Thanks for the informative clip. What is your take concerning pepper? Can you combine the steel pellets with pepper?

    • @OPPSINTL
      @OPPSINTL  Год назад

      Not really. Different guns with different ammo. I'm not a fan of the Byrna pepper guns. You're limited to 6 shots and the pistol is too big to carry around. Good for home defense where you don't have to wear it on your side, or leave it on the inside of your car

    People fail to realize all air pistols and air rifles come with a warning label. "Will cause serious injury" even death, not a toy. A combination of bear spray and any air pistol over 300 fps is devastating. An high powered PCP over 700 fps is lethal. Air guns are in my opinion a good option..

      You're 100% right. Also , if you train enough with these, improve speed and accuracy, you can do some damage...I meant, defense

    Great video bro. I agree on them being viable for self defense with limitations just like pepper spray and tasers. If evasion and intimidation is the true intent, it is certainly an option. As well as pest control and deterrence. To be clear It could never be a primary or home defense weapon. I have the glock 19 non blowback btw.
