- Ted Bullpit from Kingswood country sees AFL on TV and has a few words to say. This is what most rugby league fans think of aerial ping pong, the number two girls sport in Australia
R.I.P. Ted Bullpitt ( Ross Higgins )
Bloody legend...👍
"if that's fooball why aren't they bleeding"
I love Kingswood Country.
Same here old TV
This show should be back on TV
Unfortunately, this show is considered racist sexist homophobic transphobic fatphobic misogynistic chauvanistic facist hateful............. and so on
@@pabloneizion2592 Yea, that's how they tackled such issues back then, NOT by pretending they didn't exist.

When I was a boy we were too poor to afford a barbwire jockstrap.
I loved this show growing up in Tassie ☺️
This sounds like me dad talking about rugby
Who’s offended in 2020 cause Ted Bullpit spokke the truth. In the 70s
The ironic thing, lex marinos (bruno) played a few games of League for south sydney
Bullpit is my spirit animal
That's real comedy.
💯💯💯💯🦘🇦🇺👍
Completely regional. It's not if you don't live in the northern States of Australia
😂🤣😂 Always loved Kingswood Country. Still can’t believe that there’s so many wussies today that are offended by such a clean family show like this or Married with Children for that matter.
Because society now are a bunch on whimps or sooks. One comment slightly out of line and they start crying out aloud.
I feel very sorry for anyone who misses out on the joy of watching and understanding and enjoying Australian Rules football. It's a game I would never want to play, but it's the best sport to watch. I have personally taken part in competitive tennis, basketball, and swimming, and loved doing all of them. But Australian Rules is much more enjoyable to watch than all three of those. The only rugby I watch is State of Origin and Rugby World Cup, both of which I enjoy, but don't come close to watching an AFL game.
It has become more of a farce every year with the ridiculous rule changes.
Afl is so scrappy due to there literally being no rules
@Sean-me4fv but however you forgot to mention football as in soccer is the real football code & about soccer that I do watch is the FIFA Federation International Football Association World Cup, The A-League Competition of course.
Don't worry Bruno will sort him out lol this is a very funny show its 80's humour
20 years ago, I would have disagreed with Mr Bullpit. Not I 100% agree with his assessment.
ur not taking the kingswood
it's ron barassi!
Aussie rules fan here and this is classic ahhahahahah!
this is so funny
The scene was cut short. Bruno asks Ted why isn't he watching a rugby match? Ted replies because it's been cancelled through bad weather.
Yep, completely missed the brilliantly written punchline, this was posted by some Rugby troll with no interest in good comedy, Aussie Rules lives rent free in those blokes heads sadly
@@Adam-XL Aussie Rules is the sport that dominated this nation
@@Frankcis_memes yep, attendance and membership figures certainly show that 👍
@@Adam-XL Are you being sarcastic?
@@Frankcis_memes No, I'm an Aussie rules man
Aussie Aussie Aussie
Rugby league is from England 😂😂😂
When I got to Australia the locals asked me what I though of their game in Melbourne I said can't they kick because they have four goal posts and what's with the tiny shorts ?
Yeah lad I doubt you could kick one, “wHy aRe tHe sHorTs sO sHoRt” are you gay mate?
lol. This is actually true
Yes, very indeed so that I still do love & remember this very old Aussie Classic TV-Show of Kingswood Country & real proper original football code which is known as football by name in a Number of Countries & while the other Number of Countries call this &/or that very same football code is soccer of course.
When you do think of Football then you should &/or would think of Soccer just simply because it's been played in (200) Countries Globally Worldwide Internationally from &/or by (FIFA Federation International Football Association in Switzerland for Men, Women & also include both Boys & Girls in participation of course.
Rugby Union Football is being played in (133) Countries which mathematically that just only (115) Countries out of the (133) Countries who are Fulltime Members & while just only (18) Countries also out of the (133) Countries again who happen to be Associate Members all from &/or by the (RWC Rugby World Cup &/or the IRB International Rugby Board) in England for Men, Women & also include both Boys & Girls in participation & also those (18) Countries are also the very new Rugby Union Football developing &/or growing Countries for the Future of course.
Rugby League Football is being played in just close to approximate of (70) Countries for Men, Women & also include both Boys & Girls by the (IRL International Rugby League) also in England as well too & besides this &/or that Mathematically just only (4 Four) Countries out of those (70) Countries who are at Professional Level which are Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain/England & France. But however, that any Number of Countries somewhere in between (1 One) & (70 Seventy) or so Countries would the very new Rugby League Football developing &/or growing Countries for the Future as well too of course.
Go Ted bullpit yer
And umm how many countrys play Afl?
The answer is 12
Heaps actually
AFL: 1 country
NRL: over 50 countries and counting
Tallon Smith no. They don’t play nrl. They play Rugby. Rugby is the name of the sport not nrl
The Mason Experience the nrl isn’t rugby it’s rugby league. Two different sports champ
More countrys internationally play rugby world wide. More an more countrys are wanting to join after each World Cup.. theres talk of Brazil, colombia, trinidad & tobago maybe putting in for the next world cup. I live in melbourne now and don't mind afl, any contact sport with a high demand of skill, talent and athletesisim has got my respect. In terms of the sport growing on a global scale its got a long way to go.
@Johnny One true, but eventually it will get there
Why do people call Rugby footy or football? They throw it more than they kick it. At least with AFL it's called Australian Rules 'Football' because it's kicked a lot. At the end of the day AFL is more popular than Rugby and ALL states play the game not just 2 states (QLD and NSW).
MrRealityCheck88 ball is kicked in rugby league and quite often, and that’s why it is called footy in qld and nsw, also because it’s the more popular football code, and the word football is in both codes of rugby, the rugby football union, and the rugby football league
AFL = Dogs running around in a park chasing a ball 😂
Solar Fizz sorry mate just trying to make a joke I don't mind the afl tbh
INFLAMMATORY
Hunters Hill HS Volleyball the only joke is the amount of crowds an NRL game gets
Rugby=cross country wrestling
"Bloody stupid Game! - It'll never catch on!"... (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ
If only you knew , Ted. LOL!
too funny
AFL makes more money and is the real football. NRL doesn’t even have Football in its name
I love the pointless arguments about what everyones preferred code of sportsball is.
It was a different story when the Swans had Plugger in 97 when Bullpitt aired.
They are both called "football" because they all came from the same sports.... When they were trying to set the rules for "football" in England the majority agreed on what is the basic rules of Soccer. However Rugby (it's a place) wanted to keep to their rules so they made a "union" of other teams. Some however, mostly in the north, wanted slightly different rules again and hence broke off to form a different "League". The AFL broke off from Irish football, which again was a variation of soccer. Oh and League > AF > Union.
None of that's true. Rugby union was invented in 1845 by a bunch of school kids, at a school called Rugby. Rugby league was invented in 1895 after Rugby union players were unhappy that they weren't getting played, so they broke away and formed a separate league, and over time they changed the rules. Irish football is not a variation of Soccer. And Australian rules football is older than Irish football, and has no origins from it, or any other sport, and there is no evidence of that.
gaelic football is better to watch then AFL
AFL is more likely to be a hybrid between a game played by Aboriginal people called Marngrook and Gaelic footy
All oval ball codes including league, AFL & American football owe their origins to Rugby Union. AFL even used Gilbert Union balls in the early days. The Marngrook yarn is a crock. Newspapers also report football being played in Sydney in the late 1700's but the form or rules is not known. Harrison, the guy that codified the AFL rules, attended Rugby school.
@@j.m.6542 American football also owe its origin to early Canadian rugby football that is still to this day much closer to rugby football than the U.S. game is.. Also the so called mark that the Australian football claims it invented from the mangrook game was been used on early rugby before the game of Aussie rules existed ! and even made its way to early association football, but in time was eliminated in soccer . So much for the Aussie rules propaganda!
But what you wrote is spot on!
Just look at the difference in crowd numbers.. nrl avg 15k, afl avg 25k
Just fkn south sydney dragging down the numbers
Actually afl 30k plus
Bigger ground
1. The afl stadiums are larger. 2. Check the tv watches. There’s 25% more for nrl.
Rugby league just banned the Shoulder Charge, yet you can do it in Australian football, I
think it's clear which sport is soft.
AFL ?
AustOpinion55 and they don’t move when u do it in the afl, your tackles are like bear hugs that sling the other player
AFL players are softer than a pillow

yeh, if you consider flopping to the ground and grabbing your foot pretending you're hurt to be "playing with your feet"
@@Adam-XLthat’s what they do in afl.
@@BrisbaneBroncosfan67 whenever an AFL player flops, it can be penalized by the umpire, and its widely condemned by fans, whereas in Soccer its the way most games are won and everyone accepts it

how the fuck is afl better hahahahaha its shithouse bahahaha
Well, for starters, real skill is required to play AFL, its like a chess game, strategically moving the ball around the field, NRL is just brute cavemen charging into eachother to get the ball.. I guess it depends on your IQ level on which sport you would prefer to watch..
Nrl is good Afl is trash because they don't have world cups
I'm from Melbourne and i totally agree with u
@lordprettyflano 44 Mate does afl have a team from new zealand? or games in america? or state of origins nah because there trash
@lordprettyflano 44 Mate, AFL will never become an international sport because its an Australian sport. Rugby league and union have world cups instead of stupid Exbithion games in china and the have teams form Europe, the pacific islands and Lebanon. they have rugby sevens in the commonwealth games and the olympics. and mate do you know how much support mate ma'a tonga gets and can you even say that word. do you know how australia hasn't beaten nz in 16 years and how many rugby league stars are tourist icons. nah you don't because afl = trash because they don't have big hits and most of the players are flops that cant take a hit
@lordprettyflano 44 cuzzy bro? what do you mean uce toko do you know what that even means? lets just say MAte ma'a tonga gets more support than collingwood or swans or what ever team there is in the afl. mate diss me, make a diss track about rugby league and union because we all know afl will never get the international recognition that all rugby variations
Make a diss track but all you need to watch is how much support mate ma'a tonga got when they vs australia 2018
Yeh but we win the footy #QLDER
AFL is real football of actually the mans football not the round ball sissy shit
Kingwood Country rocks but a note to Ted, Aussie Rules football is at least one million time better then that bum sniffing bogan shit called rugby, throw the ball backwards to run forwards then get tackled then repeat that 5 times. Wow that's spectacular 🤣😅
Afl has caught on? Please! More states play afl than play rugby
And more country's play rugby then afl which is only liked in 3 states
+Anzac1940 and rugby league is only popular in 2 states #RektM8
+Anzac1940 name the three states
+Faris Naufal yeah mate you can't wreck someone when you're fucking wrong LOL. Get your facts dipshit
Phoen Macca how many countries play AFL?
Real football has a round ball.
Hate to say it it’s true most of the world calls football what aussies call soccer
*NSW trumpeting their haloed ignorance of Rugby League being superior to Australian Rules. Complete State-conditioned bias. The utter and accepted homophobic slurs were also a worldwide norm. People in the West say they've become more tolerant and understanding, but tokenistic words aren't really a way to salve the millennia of State sanctioned execution, imprisonment, ostracism and blatant hatred. I still remember the days (when this show aired) when AIDS was dubbed 'The Gay Plague'. Australia is renowned for its 'casual racism/sexism/homophobia/xenophobia etcetera*
*Sorry for that little rant, but it just went off on that tangent*
*The world perceives Australians as laid back and accepting, which is true, if you're a white, straight, man who likes fighting, cars, sports and women*
