And he's really living out his Dreams this year: Winning a Championship in New Japan Strong, Wrestling in The NJPW Gi Climax Tournament, Getting Ready to Wrestle at Wembley Stadium in London, UK in less than 2 Weeks.
If something crazy doesnt happen by the end of 2019, Eddie Kingston retires from wrestling 2019: Literally at the very last possible second at 11:59:59 Dec 31...AEW is born
1:40:48 after hearing all three of these guys just rant about how much they love Claudio and how he is just the best person ever, it's so great to know they are all together in AEW doing their thing.
This is such an amazing interview. These three are such amazing guys. Super likeable and easy to talk to. Met Eddie and Ethan, both were extremely nice so long as you approach them as normal human beings. Great story from YEARS ago: Ran into Eddie Kingston at a diner somewhere in NY after an indy show. Walked up to him when he was NOT at his table (don't ever do that) and just said, "Hey Mr. Kingston, don't want to bother you, just wanted to say I'm a big fan and really appreciate your work. Would you be cool if we got a picture?" Dude was nothing but nice about it, we shared a few words, and then went on our way. So long as you don't fan boy these guys and don't bother them in a personal moment and treat them like human beings, they will do the same.
I hope Eddie someday watches this or remember what he said about quitting and feeling hes not a draw to today in AEW when arenas pop louder for him than CM PUNK and scream his name from the rafters
when Eddie and Ethan were talking about working around injuries and with them, it immediately brought me back to Omega. the fact that he wrestled the way he has for the last few years constantly injured plus had vertigo. it's crazy to think about how he worked with all the shit he had going on. also wild to hear Eddie talk about missing Claudio in 2018/2019 and in 2022 they're in the same company now.
this was pure joy to watch. in my opinion, Bryce and Eddie are not only the cutest unlikely friends I've ever witnessed, I think they're the best commentary team I've ever heard aswell. their chemistry is off the charts and they don't insult your intelligence, you can hear the joy in their work. I hope at some point in AEW they transition to Bryce on commentary. he's way better than any of the guys they have there.
Rewatching this for the 100th time and just being so freaking happy for Eddie who is now the njpw strong champ and roh world champion and getting it from Claudio who he admits is a great human being I’m just so happy for him I could cry
This was great. More interview stuff like this should be done more often. It is much nicer to see everyone relaxed and being themselves talking versus seeing the same old tired structured format with everyone acting like it's a job interview.
Eddie has been my favorite wrestler since I first saw him appear on NWA couple - three years ago. I really think he should be given a title run within the next year. The way he's been booked to lose in every high profile singles match he's had is bs when he tells a better story than Samy Guevara, Jack Perry, or even Darby Allin.
Okay these guys are a goof. Eddie is hard to take serious even when he is, so whether he's doing a chill promo, or a dead serious, thousand yard stare, screaming vengeance, I just laugh my as off. Sorry Eddie. I know that you been wrestling every where, everyday, and with every d he
Yeah, I mean, it would be cool if you could hear Ethan, makes no sense listening to a conversation where you can't understand what 1 1/2 out of 3 people are saying. And I love these 3. :(
It’s something with your sound setup: I’m listening through headphones and Ethan’s mic is ONLY in the right ear but just as clear as the others. Enable “mono audio” or something.
You know what's sickening? The fact that AEW has Kingston and Ethan Page on their roster and, in all seriousness, barely use them over using people like Daniel Garcia, Sammy Guevara and others on a weekly basis is just nuts to me. Eddie is literally one of the most over singles talent on the roster, and Tony doesn't really use him. He'd rather book him on an opening match or a go nowhere feud with the JAS. Tony can say any excuse he wants, but the bottom line is that he is a shit booker and a not so great owner. He can't keep his roster in line and can't book a legit story arc to save his life. His idea of a good show is just to throw matches out on tv on a weekly basis and then complain online about having 3 promo segments that got more time than the women's division did that week.
Listening to Eddie talking about all the stuff he wants/deserves and knowing that he's actually getting it now makes me smile.

Fast forward to 2023 🔥🔥🔥

Best part was hearing all the Claudio love near the end.
Really fun listening to Eddie say "in 2019 unless something crazy happens I'm quitting wrestling" and as of 2024 he's an AEW Triple Crown Champion
the boys having to explain health insurance as it's done in america to ethan absolutely broke me .
Poor Ethan lives in America now so I'm sure he's learned the hard way

I keep watching this over and over! I watched it last year and it just cracked me up and made me feel good!
The vibes from your three together are gold great entertainment Greetings from Switzerland
Eddie was a lot like Patrice O'Neal, I'm so glad that he got out of his own way and is thriving like we all knew he would.
It's funny seeing how much has changed in the years since this was recorded
I love when these guys get together and just talk and riff off one another!

Since they mention 2019 SEVERAL times, 2019.
@@nielgregory108 I posted that question at the beginning of the interview, sorry. It was a great one though.
@@nielgregory108 it's from 2018
Does your con-science bother you? Hahahahahahahahaahahahahaahahahahaahahaha
30 hours. My longest wrestling drive.
Didn't MJF appear in one of these and he was out of character? Haven't seen it appear for a good while.
Comments about MJeff at the beginning by Ethan though….
I'm in Oregon we have ppl!
Funny how Eddie is huge now and ego is below him on the card
Eddie is the best
Ethan and Eddie are two of my all-time favourite people in wrestling,. Bryce would be too, if that was his real name.
Closer to your mic please Ethan! Fun hang
