When I first saw Eddie at an AAW show, he made me believe in him. Ever since then, any time that he’s appeared, any company, it doesn’t matter, I was popping off and cheering my heart out for him. When he started talking over the microphone and walked out to confront Cody I jumped out of my chair and couldn’t stop smiling. His match and victory over Jericho genuinely shook me and my reaction was delayed. His G1 appearance, and more specifically his opener against Shingo Takagi had me crying tears of joy. He’d finally gotten to compete where he deserved after years of fighting and clawing towards his goal. The New Japan crowd took to him almost immediately, and I hope he realizes how important he is to his fans. Needed to get all that out.
This is such a wonderful video. An updated version post-Continental Classic, with Eddie achieving his dream of becoming a triple crown champion, would be sick
Eddie is just THE best guy in the business right now. There's simply nobody as real, as passionate, as intense, as dedicated. He's been doing this for 20 years, but he'll do it to the end, and he has so much road left to walk. Hell, he's NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion right as I type this! No matter what else happens, I'll always appreciate Cody for giving Eddie the opening he needed to break into the big time after 18 years of grind. One off-the-cuff promo in the indiest of indie shows, just a wrestling ring set up in the middle of a carpark during the pandemic where people could watch from their cars, and it changed his life and ours.
Man, the MV tribute era of youtube was awesome. This is art, just like the Jeff Hardy - My sacrifice videos, or the WWF so far away tribute... Now I'll wait for this video to blow up.
It had over 90,000 views on Reddit when I originally uploaded it there and Chuck Taylor told Eddie about it. As a fan, a creator, a person, I can't ask for anything more than that.
Wow the cuts to All Japan moves Eddie was doing made me feel like I was watching an anime protagonist learn from his mentors and use their knowledge to succeed. Amazing video
The way Eddie drive the emotions out of my body, the way he deliver his promos. Eddie on a mic is magic, pure magic. The most real wrestler ever. Give Eddie the big belt, no one deserve it more than him!
This was beautiful. I'm a huge Eddie Kingston fan and so I'm very biased but that ending actually made me emotional. The cuts to the All Japan clips were a phenomenal touch. I've said it before and ill say it again, Eddie is the most genuine man in professional wrestling. Fantastic work!
I love Eddie too, but I have 1 little thing that bugs me. When he was feuding with Mox he had never been married, fast forward to his fued with Jericho and he's been married 20 years.
Agreed as well!!!who dosent love to see the fahkin working class hero win!!! So awesome 👌 and when him and moxley had segments after drinking as buddies and went after the elite???shit!!!!!nothing but awesomeness and ultimately the greatest friendship!!!I can relate 😀 👏👏👏👍
Much love n respect Eddie, thank you for existing, for being raw, real, honest, etc...big hugs, keep on keepin on & most of all, don't forget your are legendary
I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling that way. Eddie is proof that there is always hope. Maybe the success you deserve isn't what you imagine it to be right now, but things will work out.
Remember wrestling isn't real, and despite all his talent Eddie is only given a shot because TK is a mark lol. But feel better about yourself. The meaning of life is to enjoy it, nothing else.
I love Eddie Kingston, I love his passion and I love his true identity from the indies to being the 1st ever AEW Triple Crown Champion. His toughness in the ring and respect to the legends.
It doesn't have to be "only in dreams" once Eddie Kingston wins the big one. Hopefully he wins the AEW World Championship title soon. He's still got a lot of momentum and love going whenever he makes his entrance.
there is a rawness to how eddie cuts promos. you can hear the pain and struggle in his voice. and the story behind how he cut that promo against cody is inspiring and heartbreaking. for years, no one gave him a chance because he didn't look like a typical pro wrestler. he was too big, too fat, too dirty. but he never stopped grinding. and now look at him. he's one of the most beloved wrestlers in the world. not just in AEW but the world. honestly, i can't imagine AEW without the mad king.
Thanks! Your comment notified me for some reason the video is public. It was previously only on Reddit so this has been a thrill to see it's allowed here.
And your wish was granted. Almost a year later he won the new japan strong style world title and months later he beat cesaro for RoH world title currently making him a duel champion👏👏👏
@@707zacbusterThis goofball as champion is an absolute death kneel for Ring of Honor, an embarrassment, a disgrace, a stain on the legacy of a once proud lineage.
I liked Eddie during his CZW run and his Chris Hero rivalry that spanned multiple promotions. He actually gives a shit about the passion of pro-wrestling. He’s got his much due respect and flowers from beating Jericho, and Claudio for the ROH title, winning the Strong Title, and the Continental title. He makes every program feel like it’s his last, and his promos are one of the best things in pro-wrestling.
An absolute masterpiece. I know this'll resonate with people in my life who don't even watch pro-wrestling. Thank you for this, glad to be here before it blows up again. 🙏🏼
Bruh when Eddie grabbed the bottle and he said Chris I can’t stand you your bring me to a place where it’s comfortable and what’s comfortable is burying you to the ground” hit me 😭😭
Amazing video. I just read a comment here saying that the algorithm has already buried this video. But as we can see, there's so many newer comments in recent weeks. You did a fabulous job with Eddie Kingston's career retrospective in AEW, thus far. This video told a brilliant story.
Beautifully crafted video. Kingston is one of the real ones of the industry, hope to keep seeing him develop to his max potential. I'm rooting for him in the eliminator tournament.
i am not gonna lie i regularly watch this video since i saw it on reddit , i fell in love with the song and made me love eddie kingston more and open my eyes to arguably make him one of my favourites , i love his story and you told it so well and hopefully you wish to do more .
Thank you for making this - you've described this as a labour of love and done it complete justice. It resonated with me (as does Kingston) in a way few things have, so thank you.
As a huge Eddie Kingston fan, that was fantastic! The emotion captured by your choice of promo clips and music was phenomenal and your timing and pacing of the video are flawless. Great job!
This is so fucking amazing, Kingston already is my favourite wrestler of all time but it's so awesome to see him get this type of tribute, not even focusing on just him, but all his influences and actually showing clips of the Pillars and others. Great work!
The thing that Eddie has are the 2 most important things any wrestler truely needs for a fanbase to get behind. 1) He is Believeable in the words he says. Whether or he genuinely hates somebody like Punk, Jericho, Claudio, Hero or not, you can actually feel he is telling what he feels in his heart is the truth. 2) He is not perfect but is Genuine. As somebody who has gone thru hard times, Eddie has the ability (where he may not feel it is the case or not) to be inspired that even people who have done bad in their life but are still truely genuine can be see as a inspiration and even a hero.
Call me crazy but I always play this track when I'm grinding at the gym. Shit really pushes you hard listening to him talking while Weezer plays. Who knew emo would work so well with wrestling clips?
It’s so cool seeing that I’m not the only once crying to this. Had such a long day yesterday and this video broke me down. Really good stuff. Eddie is the best character in wrestling bar none. There’s just a different air that surrounds him when he grabs the mic. He cuts the most believable promos of all time.
One of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen to be honest. Eddie Kingston is a one of a kind star. Seeing him live his dreams in aew, roh and njpw while being a double champ is so beautiful
Holy shit, his reaction after winning the big one was great, a masterclass of psychology. The way he looks at Aubrey as she explains to him that he won is incredible, a look of confusion and incredulous shock you don't see often in underdog victories. This is why people love Eddie Kingston.
What a powerful video. I really got emotional there towards the end. Eddie will forever still be my favorite wrestler, and it's funny cuz I never heard of him before AEW, and I didn't give him a chance to get over, but he did. I truly hope AEW can book him back to prominence, cuz ever since dragging the Jericho and Kingston feud for too long, they'd taken some momentum off him. Look forward to his feud with MJF in the future for sure tho. oohf
Been a fan of his since his AEW debut and finding his previous work and promos and i cant help but think why didnt this man get work?! This video though wwas so beautifully done and done foor one of the greats that AEW doesnt even know what to do with him. Youve got a combination of Steve Austin, Eddie Guerrero, and Arn Anderson, with mic skills that do approach Stone Cold, CM Punk, and John Cena. Ivee just talked myself into a dream match i wanna see Eddie F*$#ing Kingston vs John F#$%ing Cena!!!
Best. In. The. World. Punk might amuse me with a Bret Hart tribute match but Eddie has me engaged in everything he says. Everything he does. I need him to succeed.
Man...the debut of Eddie in AEW is a little bit like the debut of Jericho in WWF. Both tired of don't have the opportunities that they deserve, facing 2 big names with a great control of the microphone.
This promo was gold live...I love the czw roh guys finally getting the due respect they deserve . This man made horrible choices in life and he's going to be first to admit it , with that said the fact he still walks this earth shows how much of a man he is.

Didn't find this until now and holy shit this is amazing. What an unexpected crossover between Weezer and Eddie Kingston. Great work!
This was really well done, and it's a shame the algorithm is gonna try and bury it (which it apparently already did). You did a fantastic job!
Don't think the algorithm did that at all
It took 7 months. But now I've got the algo trained that some mornings I need this video! 💪❤️

Eddie promos feel like when the dish washer gets mad at the line cook and they hash it out with a screaming match in the parking lot.
That promo against Cody has got to be one of my favorite promos ever
I watch this video like once a week, best wrestling video ever, praying for a part two with eddie kingston winning the c2
