I downloaded this AMV on Kazaa in like 2005ish, maybe even earlier than that. Can't believe it's in the top search results for this song in 2024. This set the bar for what an AMV should be.
Not even an anime fan but I must have stumbled upon this pre-RUclips when I was particularly obsessed with this song and listening to it a lot to try and get over my high school crush. Now my band is preparing for a Weezer Blue Album tribute show for its 30th anniversary and I was reminded of this as I was reviewing all the songs. Still a beautiful video.

This song and video is the best thing ever. It means more of what people would think. I remember i was a kid perhaps 10, or less, when my brother used to play this awesome AMV that he got from idk where, but he had it. So everytime i listen to the song, it reminds me to my brother but also to this video. Its beeen more than 10 years about this, and still when my brother and i listen to this song he says "do u remember that video?" But he doesnt know about this song reminds me to all the ages i been through,with my brother, since i was a kid and i used to see him as my hero, till my teenage age (18) when i used to live with him and he got depression and told me hes dark secrets about wanting to die, and hating himself, so i used to play this song, wishing my brother and i were together for always while thinking maybe only in dreams... Now im 26, and hes a father. And more than reminding this song with sadness as before, i just save this in my heart as a great memory, and like a song i have to cover one day.
This combo is utterly breath taking. I remember watching this AMV as a kid. Patiently waiting to find someone who shares the same appreciation for the classic movies, shows, and music of my youth
This song came on my shuffle the other day and all I could see in my mind was this AMV. I’m happy to see it here and that it’s so well loved. Hopefully it will endure.
WEEZERS BEST EFFORT - I'll never forget seeing them live for the green album tour in 2001, they closed with this song and tore the house down, still remember for the last part of the song they dumped more confetti then I have ever seen falling from the top of the venue onto the whole crowd as they finished and everyone went nuts. Great time to be a Weezer fan... They were even selling autographed green album cds for $10, signed by the whole band, still have mine. :)
I am much older than this AMV, but this is the first time I've ever seen it. I wasn't a big fan of Weezer, but seeing their music fit so well with one of my favorite anime, I may have to reconsider.

I miss More Than Toast so much, they really got me into AMVs and their stuff has been the best I've seen. It's sad that they ended up breaking up, but I am glad a few of their videos have survived on here

I started listening to the song that I hadn’t in years and immediately thought of this video. Even though I had heard the song and loved it before this was created it’s become associated with it so closely apparently.
