I shave my head often with a straight razor but I have nothing wrong with my hair. Perfectly healthy and thick. But I do it because it's satisfying and it feels kinda like a rebirth. Plus I really like the look, especially if I grow some stubble on my face. Sometimes I will grow my hair out but only for a certain amount of time until the matinence gets annoying

same here. Healthy, slightly longer hair but got bored a while back. Thought about a change and shaved my head and shaved with a straight razor afterwards to make it completely smooth. Love the new look so shaving now everyday to stay for a longer period of time bald before growing my hair out again someday. Plus it really feels liberating and kind of therapeutic to just shave it all off and not worrying about how to style your hair. Grew additionally a beard and now looking like a guy who has seen some places. Definitly worth trying out and a keeper.

I shaved my hair after having some issues like dry and irritated skin, hair loss , greasy hair. Now im doing an avocado and egg hairmask once per week, and after I wash it with shampoo. This made a huge improvement in scalp and hair health. My scalp isnt dry anymore, not irritated, my hair looks and feels much stronger already.
For anyone having scalp or hair issues I would recommend trying it 😊

Well it's not going to thick but it's thicker to look when they grow back because they grow at the same time and I tried it myself when it lockdown... I recommend it but it's takes time to grow it back you need patience and just forget about your hair.. for 4-5 months you see the results and if you want to cut it just trim the edges to look clean

If you do it enough it does. I shaved my head razor bald for 18 months and now that I’m starting to grow it again one day of growth was the same length as 3 days at the beginning
My take, having just done it, is that it's more noticeable when growing in. So it seems like it's growing faster. When it's longer you don't notice the hair growth.
I had a friend who shaved her head because her hair was fried from the crap she did to it. In the meantime she wore cute fun wigs everyday. When her hair grew out to her perfect length… It was so soft and healthy and said it was one of the best decision she ever made in her life. She made me want to do it because my hair is so damaged from heat styling products

Yeah that's an 'old wives tale' as they say. People used to say 'Cutting your hair encourages growth' lol But like how! I think it comes from when shaving body hair appears thicker when it grows back, because the hair is shaved bluntly and the top of the strand is flat. As opposed to waxing where it is pulled out from the root, and when it grows back it is more tapered. YES to 'hideous' cuts, when I was a kid I had a Action Max Dr. X figure and he was bald but has this long ponytail from the back of his head like where that Mannequin has that last bit! I thought he looked pretty cool.
It does comes out thicker when you cut your hair for the very first time but that's it.

No its really works. I have a scar in my head, no hair growth in the scar and I allso have the same thought shaving is maybe help hair growth and i tried 60 times continuously shaved my hair two years ago, its really worked but I am not maintenance my hair so again my hair decreased and now I'm retrying I all ready shaved 3 times ,and this time I gonna try 100 times shaving my head hair maybe if you want see my result I will post the result photos in Instagram only if you want.

Depends on genetics but for me my hair grows faster in the back than the front
You would need to taper and leave some on the top like a 0 on sides 0 1/2 up top
For layers you need short on sides and a bit more on top hair will grow in laywrs

@@jeffrinsamuel5358 it's quite long now. but I still haven't reached my desired length yet but yeah its quite good. I started following the general hair care routine, like timely wash, conditioner, hairmask, and Yea it's reflecting on my hair quality. Healthy hair happy hair :)
@@jeffrinsamuel5358 But nah shaving your hair doesn't change your hair quality any such like hair texture and all that, if you've got fine hair like I do, then shaving them all off wont make them grow thicker. I guess the point of shaving your hair is to like a reset point for your hair, so you can start working on its quality from day one of you shaving it. I mean building a habit towards hair care, so by the time your hair is long those habit will carry on even there and helping the hair to stay healthy and better overall compared to what your hair was like before shaving it off(Probably damaged because men don't really spend a lot of time around their hair.)

Wrong it does grow back faster and thicker its just not noticeable with one shave .. the more haircuts you get the fast youll need a haircut again . My brother when we were teens got frequent haircuts to the point he had to start going to the barber everyweekend because his hair was growing back faster and faster, especially on his forehead he would get a line up and the next day have a five 0clock shadow on his shi

Thank you for your explanation, I have a question, I'm a guy, and I started using a hair dryer after every shower I take since 2013 , back in the days my hair was curly thick and full, I liked the results of using hair dryer , so continued using it till now, recently in the last 2 years, I started noticing that my hair in the frontline ( more precisely in the right side started to shade like I'm getting bald ) I worried a little bit, but I didn't stop using the hair dryer with doing excessive combing while drying.
In the last 10 days, I noticed that when I dry my hair from the right side as always, and then when i finish, i put my hair into the left side , I noticed that on the right side that I start putting in the comb is balder than the left same frontline head !
so now I think that after 10 years of doing the same routine of combing from the right side into the left side , caused this hair loss ! which i think isn't a real hair loss as it seem , i mean I can get back the hair like i'm having in the left side , because I'm thinking that the hair dryer and combing caused me that unequal result of hair line in the front !
Do you agree with this conclusion ? for example: if I shave my hair, and I stop drying and combing my hair for 3 months , can i see my right side hair get back like the left one in the same line ?

Hey! I’m not pro, but keep in mind hair drying is still heat styling essentially, so the force of it blowing along with the heat of the dryer when the hair is already fragile and wet, would be doing damage, if I used a hair dryer daily on my hair I would end up with lots of split ends,
As a makeup artist I can say I know it would be doing some damage over time on the skin in that area, so that could be impacting also
I heard that if you have curly hair if you shave it grows back straight, probably another false claim but I don't want to try lol.

I shave my head mr.clean style lol I don’t have a problem growing hair no bald spots or anything I do get like psoriasis around my ears some spots if I keep it shaved it stay kinda clear cause my hair naturally is brown wavy and gets thick I don’t mind be bald I like the feeling

that’s exactly what i did i even try the moe hawk I just shave my head I don’t agree with u on the not growing more I did my side burn and it’s filling in I started to get better side burn which I don’t have before. So i try it on the side burn before decided to shave whole head.

I started shaving my head in my late 20s. My hair grows thick & in my teens & early 20s I had it so long it went down to my butt.
Crazy metalhead hair baby lol. Problem is I have psoriasis & that thick hair is like a permanent warm blanket in my head. So in the summer it would completely cook me, which would trigger flair ups. I had medium hair for a while but one day just thought bugger it & shaved the lot. It felt amazing, it was like discovering a new sense, like I could feel the world through my head.
Plus I liked how I looked. Never went back. I'm 32 now. I have lost a lot of weight & while my psoriasis is still an issue it has faded a decent amount with a healthier life & diet. But it still flairs up in very cold & warm weather.
I'm tempted to let it grow again & get long hair for a while, hence why I'm here lol.

It works if you use a razor blade, like the type they use at barber shops. Works miracles if the blade is slightly jaggered. Nothing happens if you use an electric shaver.

How about a brain surgery for a reason to shave it all? Even though I had the option to keep it, my hair was totally ruined by the desinfection products I had to use. So yeah, what's growing back feels a lot healthier then what it was before. But you're absolutely right, it looks really bad before it wil be on my shoulders/halfway my back again

So fun that everyone wants Attack on Titan haircuts! You're the first I've heard going for the Galliard. Personally, I want the Eren Jaeger, but from seasons 1-2. But when I search the web for tutorials, every single one is for the long hair/man bun style. Very frustrating!
My hair grows soo slowly. I'm cutting the sides for this style too but I want it at a length where I can man bun it if I want.
@@jenniferp1917 The season 1-2 Eren style is just a curtains style with an undercut if you search that you will find results😎

Eren's season 1-2 is, well, I'm not a stylist so I don't know the exact way to describe it - but it's more like stacked or graduated, with lots of volume at the crown, no defined part, and layers that get shorter as you go to the top so there are lots of piece-y bits. And long, piece-y bangs that part in the middle.

I have a 4c hair and I've relaxed it several times since my childhood.
I shaved my head back in 2019 because it's been damaged or what i thought so.. and when it grew back it had the same extremely dry with extremely breakage and too frizzy and tangled.. My hair been natural and I kept conditioning/moistrizing it without any chemicals or heat but nothing changed and recently I relaxed it again cause i was so done with it and taking care of it is very exhausting, it doesn't even look beautiful or healthy..

sometimes peole have really bad seriasis, and extreme bacteria and demodex overgrowth going on, and without even knowing it, causing hair to be able to be pulled out along with ease along with it's cumped yellow roots. sores can develope and things can get to the point where permanent damage is in play. And then applying water and soaps make this way worse, damned if you clean and soap, damned if you don't. some people don't even know that some of this is going on but when they shave their heads they see results, plus the direct vitamin D absorption gets everything back to a healthy stride. 👍
Doing a full head scrub with very mild tea tree oil soap, followed by 1 or 2 more cold rinses, and then a full shave with a fresh clean (new) clipper for tight hair follicle cuts and things will do a full rebound, then get a 10 - 15 minute dose of direct sun, along with an extra heavy vitamin d dose + k2 + zinc. and you're in the clear
