Leaving some tabs along the cut line to make it easier to bend. You'd lose the parent material left from the cutoff disk though.
It's been a minute, how's everything going? Yes, you are right on the cutting a slot for the bend would have worked well. I originally thought I'd run up to Ted's to use his press brake. But hindsight that would have made life much easier.
What a great job, just love the use of the Laser to create your “Cardboard Aided Design” templates🤣. Will the front axle have to under go the same size reduction treatment? Looking forward to seeing the next stage of the axle conversion, plus discover why Ted was called out for Recovery duty again.🤔 Keep up the great work 😎🍻👍
Front pumpkin is a bit smaller so that can run as is. So less work there. The CAD with CAD is always fun. And it is hard to believe the Freelander would ever leave me stranded.
It does pack a punch. I have .035 in there now. I want to toss some .045 in and see what it can do. I’m impressed with it so far. Gun feels quality, plus having 50% duty cycle at 275 amps in the size it is works out nicely.

You see the gear icon on the video? If you mouse over it, it says Settings. Click, and you'll see 'Audio Track'. Switch it back to English (Original). Now, why that's happening I can't say but it's happened to me too on other content.
