I was fortunate to have both the Walk Don't Run albums back when they first came out, and learned my first guitar licks by playing along with them. As I listened to this album, I thought I heard a few slight differences, and looked more closely at the labeling. I was amazed that someone could cover the songs so brilliantly. Kudos on your obvious dedication to faithfully recreating some of the best surf rock tunes ever made. My psychedelic blues band has been semi-retired for almost a decade, but your work motivates me to get the band back together just to cover these songs.

I began playing guitar at age 12 and that was in 1962. I had no idea who the Ventures were at that time, but hearing them on the radio back then made me want to play just like them. So I started buying their albums and learned to play guitar by playing along with them. Playing music comes easy for me, so learning their licks was a lot of fun back then. I'm now an older man who still picks a mean guitar and The Ventures music never gets old. Bob, Don, Nokie, Howie and Mel are all gone now, but their music lives on in my soul and is still alive in my fingers. Gentlemen....you are the best ever guitar instrumental group in the world and I am a forever fan.

There are many guitar groups. But The Ventures are a cut above the rest with their unique style of playing and creating sounds which still remain unmatched. They have hardly used any processor to modulate sounds. Instead, they have taken natural guitar sounds to an amazing variety and heights.
Since my adolescent age the VENTURES group were already existing on that time & as an enthusiastic music lover.I really loved their instrumental music.I' m now 67 yrs. Of age but their music are still alive.👍♥️👍

The Beach Boys and the Ventures started to become a hit the same time I moved to Southern California and started a lot of water sports and founded five small businesses. So, I've had an energizing soundtrack to accompany the 'bio movie' which is my life. I am so grateful to talented people like this. I cannot imagine a life without music. Rock on, wherever you are. La réalité des années magiques (pour moi, né en 1950) devenue : période de chansons « cultes » m’a fait découvrir beaucoup de titres inoubliables comme « Apache » sorti en 1960 (Compositeur : Jerry Lordan) et toujours bien vivant dans mon cœur ♥️ et celui d’autres fans de ce morceau joué par le groupe « The Shadows. Eugene Mago, you & I have the same taste in music. I don't remember how many Ventures LPs I've got in my collection. But not all their 250 album as what John Fogerty (CCR) said when he introduced & inducted The Ventures in the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame. I still played some of the their instrumental hits in my electric guitar most especially Walk Don't Run, Apache, Bulldog, Let's Go, Perfidia, etc. I really like guitar instrumental music since I was a kid playing ukelele. Thanks for sharing this compilation.

@@EugeneMago Thanks! I did like the Ventures since I was a small boy & playing ukelele. One time I told my wife that if ever we visited Japan I will buy the Mosrite hehe. I heard that you can still buy that guitar (Mosrite) there because the Ventures was so popular in that country where they keep coming back there to have a concert.

I play every Ventures song and even played with Don when I was 10 years old and he gave me one of his Mosrite Guitars because he was so impressed.

Inconmensurables THE VENTURES, mi grupo favorito. En el 67 teníamos un grupo en la secundaria y era la guía de nosotros, Camina no Corras, Perfidia, Hawaii_5_0, Jinetes en el Cielo, Bésame Mucho. Todos los temas son buenísimos. Creo que The VENTURES, convirtió en música se culto para todos grupos de entonces y se siguen oyendo geniales ¿por qué? Porque trascendieron a la moda, SON CLÁSICOS. EL MEJOR BAJO DE LA HISTORIA.

Eugene Mago, you & I have the same taste in music. I don't remember how many Ventures LPs I've got in my collection. But not all their 250 album as what John Fogerty (CCR) said when he introduced & inducted The Ventures in the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame. I still played some of the their instrumental hits in my electric guitar most especially Walk Don't Run, Apache, Bulldog, Let's Go, Perfidia, etc. I really like guitar instrumental music since I was a kid playing ukelele. Thanks for sharing this compilation.

@@EugeneMago Thanks! I did like the Ventures since I was a small boy & playing ukelele. One time I told my wife that if ever we visited Japan I will buy the Mosrite hehe. I heard that you can still buy that guitar (Mosrite) there because the Ventures was so popular in that country where they keep coming back there to have a concert.
