I am a big UMX fan, and this is one I have not flown yet. Its on my spring time list. Lol And for the newbies, the 4-in-1 module in most radios had the DSMX protocol (Spectrum) so you can use many different radios with planes like this.

You just don't realize how much you make me want to buy a small helicopter or airplane....😂
Ya gotta take the plunge. I have 12 friends at my flying field and everyone is into the entire RC hobby which makes it very sociable. Flying RC Planes or FPV drone or running RC cars is the most sociable thing in the hobby because with two or more people it is a blast of fun.
I felt the same way when I discovered paramotors. It was the best $10,000 I've ever spent.
Drones are just… better tho

A Twin Otter was the first real plane I flew in as a child going to the Channel Islands, cool plane.
In Canada, the Twin Otter is still used in our Northern remote areas as well as some Search & Rescue
Lots of fun. Cold here in Wisconsin, too, buddy.

Thanks for sharing Captain and it looked like a very "Smooth" Craft to fly!; love your weather comparison with the second day being slightly better than the first!!!; we just went from 38c to 18c here in Melbourne however doesn't compare to your climate!; last but not least, I had a huge surprise in the Mail yesterday, not just one, but (to quote your good self!!!) "holy crap" !!! 3 x Captain Drone stickers!!!; many thanks and I am still trying to work out where to "Stick" them !!!!!

I have an early request for you to consider please. This is to review a beginner friendly seaplane. I realise that any water near you is frozen solid at the moment but when the thaw comes. I don't know how many planes there are like this that would take off from water or if you have contacts with any manufacturers that make them .....
I'm sure it would be heart in mouth time taking off from water and I don't even want to think about the landing so maybe water with a beach or field at the edge might be more sensible !

In the summer you’ll see a few of my RC planes taking off and landing on water.

If you hook it up to 2 cells only on your Kenworth truck battery it will go Brrrmm Brrrmm for ever so long and you won't damage the plane. (It won't get into the air where you'd have a chance to smash up all that beautiful beer-cooler foam.)😜😂😂
On a less facetious level, do you really think that if the plane would run better on a bigger battery that the designers wouldn't specify that bigger battery to make their product look better? 🤔
Overloading small light planes like this with extra weight labours the motors and makes the brittle frame more likely to suffer damage in a crash. 🙂
@@theoztreecrasher2647 Now you're missing the point? For an airplane to fly 5 minutes or less is no good for me personally. But if it can fly longer than? Then it's worth buying no matter the price.

@@MrRaymond1021 No problem mate. I don't know what your specific purpose might be but if it is long flight times for extended range and camera work you are certainly looking in the wrong place here. There are planes specifically designed for that, but they are usually bigger and more solidly constructed than these little fun toys. 🙂
Raymond, the plane is very light but it can run with a larger battery (like a 1000 mAh 1 cell). I would not go larger (heavier) than that as you may not be able to come out of a dive quick enough.

There are RC planes that fall in the category of Park Flyers and this is one of them. The strange thing in the world is that people focus on drones as being annoying and embrace RC planes as being a joy to watch. In Canada, even though we have regulations for RC planes, the public prefers to accept them in the same regard to seeing puppies in the park.

It's a nice little plane. But at AU$338+ landed here I can't see it replacing a $3 48cm or $10 84cm EPP Chuck Glider from the local Kmart store converted to twin multi cell capable brushless drive from salvaged quads any time soon. 🙃😊

It snows 4 month of the year in Canada, so there is a 100% chance approx 30 to 40% of my vids will have snow in them.
