Nice work Alex. Just catching up with this video now. Well done. Wow, that was quite an all-nighter! I can definitely relate the feeling of coming home from astro session in the middle of the night and being wired and sitting down another couple of hours to review my images. I'll think I'll buy us both a coffee! 🙂 Oh and the other thing, I liked the flashlight. I did not see a link for that. Where can I get one of those? Thanks!
Love these shots! I really like the zodiacal light fade in the time lapse at 14:00---. Tips for 'shutting down to power nap', watch/listen to something repetitive, or boring. Like, a weather channel. I can be out in minutes with that on. Or something totally unrelated. Looking forward to the next episode :)
Not sure how old you are, but my experience has been that power naps come more easily with age. Also, as I've gotten older, I've learned that lactose knocks me out faster than alcohol, so you might try making yourself a thermos of high fat hot chocolate - I recommend using heavy cream. It's like drinking chocolate butter. But, and this is the most important part, it's not like taking a sleeping pill or drinking enough alcohol to make you drowsy - it doesn't leave you inebriated or feeling like you were hit by a truck. You'll wake up easily enough. I'm drooling right now just thinking about it, so I'm going to make some after I hit send. Good luck, man! And thanks for the videos. My brother has been trying to catch the first quarter moon over Pikes Peak for a couple of nights now. Maybe seeing your video will strengthen his resolve.
Great video! Envious of your location! I too have issues with resting on days of shoots or important exciting gigs. I always end up paying the price during the event and get sleepy and slow. Loved seeing the sheep!

Really inspiring. A a complete novice I have a lot to learn. Am visiting my granddaughter in Co next month and plan to try my first shots. It is a long way to come from the UK to babysit!!
Awesome video! I can relate to your comments about sleep. I can hit the bed after an all nighter around 4 AM and by 6 or 7 AM I'm awake. Never learned how to sleep all day like others. Oh well! Why did you choose a Canon RP over maybe a R6 to astro convert? Just curious!
Oh that's funny. If I fall asleep I'm out for good. I just wanted a cheap sensor in a box, didn't need the extra features like ibis or great auto focus. The rp sensor is very nice
More fantastic work Alex. It is great to see your project progressing, and I look forward to your next episode. Have you had a chance to try out the Nomad yet, and do you have any initial thoughts?
Absolutely incredible work!!! Way to go Alex...
Thank you friend!

The light was so bright that night

It's going to be a crazy summer
