Dear Alex, all three shots are gorgeous. Yes, the first one gives the feeling of pure nature. But I prefere the Seckendorff one. Ist is, as you say, the road (way) takes me into the milkyway. Thanks for your work. Ist gives me so much new input and inspiration.
Purely personal preference, I love the second shot with the road. For me it felt like it was more visually interesting and contemporary, plus there is an aspect of danger taking looong exposure images when positioned in the middle of a road. This made me feel that the image conveys a real sense of solitude that isn’t necessarily obvious in the first one. The third cropped composition works in many of the same ways as the second and suits the portrait view on a mobile device, however, the money shot is image #2. 👍
There is something about the last road one with the leading lines ….while the no road is the more obvious choice. Guess it depends on your final set of images for the book as it might provide some balance and impact. Fantastic Milky Way images and love the colours.
Nice upbeat adventure episode! I really like the "no road" version the best and the portrait orientation the least. I don't mind the "less road" 2x3 crop at all either. At any rate, very appealing choices. Well done!
If you wanted to go a slightly different direction, have a 2-layer image, with the wider shot with the road as the back layer, then the more cropped in image with the peak and the Milky Way as the front layer, a little offset to the right and up from the back layer, which should leave the road visible, but not front and center. Maybe even have the visible bottom edge of the back layer fade or darken from left to right. Also, have the front layer be even with the back layer at the top and along the right edge. And have a little bit of a shadow cast from the left and bottom edges of the front layer onto the back layer. That would look cool to me, and you get the best of both shots.
whoa that shooting star and the vaporised particles \o/ (at 11:14) excellent job. I do not have a favorite image as it has a haze like softness in the stars compared to the foreground.
I prefer no road. For me either of the road shots causes my eye to wander to the left side off the frame. The lines on the no road shot both ridge line and the triangle shape of the trees all point to the Peak and Milky Way. That is the story. Star of the show (pun intended).
Hi Alex, personally I like the first composition without the road the best, however, the last one you showed with the road to the far left is a close second. Good job! Hang in there, Buddy!
Great addition to the 14ers again! I like pic no2 with the road the best. Might even try to crop no3 more to the left, cutting of Rho but not letting the road lead out of the frame that much maybe?
How dose the laser cope with the cold? I have the move shoot move tracker at the moment and find the laser is hopeless when the temperature is below about 3 or 4 degrees. I also have the nomad on order so looking forward to getting my hands on it. Hopefully I will get it before my trip to Madera in august.
Which final image is your favorite?
I hope they change the polar scope mounting hole to resemble the design of the universal mount or have threads.
Thanks for the quick & dirty on MSM's Nomad tracker! It's hard to choose, but I loved the road shot the most. Great work!

No road.
I do need the no rotate feature on msm.
Love the second image, as you said, it pulls you into the image. Great work and wonderful video
Thank you! I love the feedback
Another great video Alex! My favorite is the landscape image with the road. Thanks for sharing!

You work is astounding, Alex!!! I like the second image. Something about the road that tells a story...
Thank you again!!
Horizontal with Road. Slightly cropped, is my vote.
To me, the road creates a visual path (leads the eye) to the sky. Great work, great test.
Appreciate it
I have to vote for the road image cropped a little (like you mentioned...roughly a 2x3 format). ALL of the images were amazing though.

I think I agree with all that

I like the 2nd image the most. Love the road as an anchor.
But, for the intended purpose, I’d probably go with #1.
All 3 are awesome though!
Horizontal Road my preference but they all look awesome!

Yeah, I saw that vapor trail too, crazy

I like that
The first two are both outstanding. If I had to choose one, it would be the first with no road. Thanks for sharing all your videos, great stuff.
The second with the wider panorama
Hi Alex, personally I like the first composition without the road the best, however, the last one you showed with the road to the far left is a close second. Good job! Hang in there, Buddy!
The first is my favorite. Without the road. The yellow stripes on the road are distracting your eyes from the milky way. But, what a great shots.
I hear ya

That was the challenge... what was better to include in that crop
@@chasingluminance yeah, I can imagine. Tough choices haha. Great images anyway man, all three of them 👍
No road ., Love it 🥰
Want the Nomad !!!!!
At 11:14 what was that shock wave in the sky?! it was so cool
It was a meteor and the vapor trail it left. Super cool
I'm planning tiktoks about it
Although I love number I think number 1 may work better for the final product.
No road is my favourite
No road
What’s the word with this NOMADE? Seems to be a mythical unicorn! No word on when is it being pushed out? I assume all the testing been done already.
No road, but all are beautiful

It doesn't like the cold...I keep it warm in my glove, Attach it to align then put it away pretty quick
1:1 format with the road. To me the foreground is way way too exposed and the combination with the sky is too unreal
Interesting, they were shot with the exact same settings
First / no road
Leading lines is great and all. But it seems more of a distraction to me.
Heard
No road keep civilization out of space
Yes sir
Was there enough drone in this one?
no road 😉
