- K Ishibashi is a master of building his music from the ground up, from live violin loops to layered singing to beatboxing, in order to create pocket symphonies steeped in classical music and 21st-century pop. He brings that ingenuity and songcraft to the Tiny Desk at the NPR Music offices.

Rick and Morty essentially brought me here
“Sorry, no beat boxing in this one”….proceeds to play the most ethereal and beautiful love song. Literally made me tear up.
Just found this guy from the rick and Morty episode... absolutely in love with his music/ talent. "I am the antichrist to you" is probably one of the most unique and hauntingly beautiful love songs I have heard in a very very long time. This video even provides a closer look to his skills and endless musical experiences. Thanks for sharing!
He was the opener for the concert that I was at last night and no joke, he was six times better than the main act. He is soo good!
I’m a really shy person, but heard you makes me social. It seems like ur not afraid to show the world something different and unique to the world! And for that, I had joined Orchestra and play the cello, I very much enjoy it and now made friends that I didn’t know I would have! Thank you...for showing me to not be afraid to be different than other people:).
I saw him live at a festival tripping on shrooms and I had no idea who he was. My brain literally absorbed every note. To say it was like a revelation would be an understatement.
I'm here from Rick and Morty
This guy is truly underrated. A breath of fresh air in today's music.
He puts his whole heart in The Antichrist, I love watching him play it live. It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
I remember when he came to my school years ago, and he's why I joined my schools orchestra 2 years ago :)
It's a crime this guy isn't massive yet. Saw this performance 10 years ago and have been following Kishi ever since. I hope he gets his due. probably the most unique and talented guy in the last 10 years
Guy sits down lookin' like he's on a business meeting, about to order a bagel and a latte, and then he creates some of the most beautiful music I've heard in years, all whilst looking about as relaxed as someone playing solitaire on their phone whilst waiting for a train.
This. This exact video is what inspired me to start my career.
I saw him at a concert at Chapman University in SoCal in 2024.
I can't believe I JUST discovered this guy. Where the hell have I been?!?!
Watch him live. Its emotional and life changing. I shared it with my significant other. Tears and joy. And joy and years. And a more subtle form of compassion
What a songwriter. What a song builder. What musician. What a vocalist. What an artist. His violin so soulful, I was looking away and thought it was a horn
Of all places to find this guy Rick and Morty was it. I'm so happy to have found this beautiful soul and his amazing music.
This guy is magical. This concert is one of the best things on the internet, period.
Kishi is the level of talent where he makes it look so effortless that you do not recognize he is doing genius.
