This sealant is also applied in some critical areas of the engine as in this case in the intersection of the CHG and de timing gasket, always according to the repair manual instructions. If the tightening process includes angular sequence, it is necessary to replace the cylinder head bolt. It is because in this angular sequence the bolts be deformed and stretched. If the tightening process includes only torque sequence, you could reuse the old cylinder head bolts if these are in good conditions.
