Brendan Mc because a dog we kind of knew was going to die died when we least expected it to, not to protect the kids but just used as a tool to advance the plot (or did it) so there
When Mushroom died, I went to hug my cat. Had her on my lap, gave her kisses on the head, scritches behind her ears while I was still hugging her. When she had enough, I let her go and she lied down near my feet to wash herself and from time to time she would look up at me like she was making sure I was ok.

In my playthrough I was able to get Chris to open up about his dad and have an honest talk with Charles which I believe was the best thing to do for them.
Prediction: The mother has powers, either more dangerous or with less control than Daniel. A desire to keep her family safe, plus the fear/likelihood of her mother accusing her of 'witchcraft,' prompted her to run away and go into hiding. Seeing what happened at the house caused her to reach out to her parents, but she's still too afraid to get involved personally. At least until some larger tragedy befalls.

Humboldt County, California is a major cannabis cultivation area. They use a lot of migrant and manual laborers to tend/harvest the crops, which is presumably the reason Cassidy was going there, and why we hear her talking with the boys amidst a fuck-ton of pot plants.

Daniel won when i played dice against him, and he drew mushroom on my backpack, i thought that was pretty cute Edit: also became more significant after ..... THAT happens :(
Great playthrough and commentary. Seeing another player's choices really hammers home how much the small decisions can matter throughout the game. Like Aoife and Johnny, I also told Daniel to be honest with Chris. My Daniel didn't follow through, though, which ultimately meant that Chris tried to intervene when the police gave chase at the end. Chris avoided injury thanks to Daniel understanding that it's right to use his powers to help others, though it also means Chris is going to carry on believing he's got superpowers. I guess I've been less vigilant when it comes to teaching Daniel the importance of truth and honesty, even though I'm otherwise being pretty consistent about right and wrong. It's good to know that decisions have complex consequences that build up over time, instead of having the same exact outcome for everyone. Two players might choose the same option in a certain scenario, but experience significantly different results depending on their choices and behaviour to date. I like that. For now, I don't regret calling Lyla both times I had the chance, though I can't help but feel the consequeces might snowball or backfire in the long run. Replaying the entire game, and making an effort to choose different options, is going to be quite a ride. But mainly I'm just glad nobody in episode 2 offered the boys any mushroom soup. That would've been too cruel.
Watched this after finally playing the chapter. The biggest differences I had was I got Charles to open up by asking him if he was having problems and I found the key to Karen’s room in the bathroom

Cassidy and Finn were headed to Humboldt County in California, which is known for cannabis agriculture. My guess is Sean and Daniel end up meeting up with them there, since it sounds like Cassidy's voice in the after credits saying she'll show you around.

I really like Cassidy and I'm happy she'll be back for episode 3. I'm not to sure about Finn yet but he seems okay. One thing I picked up on though and I don't know if I'm reading into this, but when he says Cassidy is into suburban boys, she ribs him for his scoreboard, which is either just her teasing him for how many people hes been with OR with the context of the last line, specifically suburban boys. They're obviously close, but they never outright say they're together so they could just be really close friends. Also having a gay/bi or whatever male character in the series would be really cool, seeing as so far we've had a lot of lesbian and bi women but not a lot if any LGBT+ men. As I say I might be reading into those two lines being next to each other to much, but i'm hopeful.
It was Cassidy's voice at the end saying she would show them around, and they said they were going to Humboldt County which is known as one of the premier growing areas for cannabis. My guess is Sean and Daniel are going to be starting the next episode hanging out with Cassidy and Finn. I'm very interested to see where this goes.
Joseph Ed Reed I only hope that if they decide to go that route they don’t just force it on us. I would want something like Chloe and Rachel’s relationship in BTS, they are actually my favorite fictional couple of all time because to me their best friendship-to-romantic relationship was executed very well

Can watch this now I finally got round to playing. I let Chris keep thinking he had superpowers, but allowed Daniel to use his in emergencies. Chris runs out in front of the police car, and Daniel flips it from behind him. The look that Chris gives when he turns so happy with what he's done, and then sees Daniel with his hand outstretched! I think that's even more devastating than it would have been if Chris had died.
Life Is Strange 2 is so much crazier than the first one. I don’t mean that in a bad way. But it actually feels like your choices matter in this game. The consequences are insane! Loved this guys ❤️
I'm glad I wasn't the only one legit scared when that thing appeared outside the cabin. I felt my heartrate spike and I was like "oh shit oh shit oh shit I didn't sign up for this kind of game!"
OH that interesting - when I talked about the neighbors, Grandma doesn't say "he has a good role model, though", and Sean responds with something like "but I'm not always a good role mode". Weird all of this little things that can and cannot change. Some people might whine about the "illusion of choice" when something big happens no matter what we do (like real life, I might add), but sometimes it's the little outcomes that impress upon me the most. (but what do they press upon me? non of your damn business! :-P )
OTOH - there are conversions you may or mat not get based either on bugs or because you happen to take a look at the something at the wrong time. I think they need to start to work on that. If not for the next two episodes, then for LiS 3 (which I hope they do).
I know it's listed in the end-game stats, but I wonder what I would have to change about my playthrough to get Daniel to clean up and be more responsive. Not that it will change much about Ep 3 (or if it can, which I seriously doubt, it must be ultra edge case).
Also - did you know - you can convince Chris's dad to get help and send Chris off the his grandparents for a little while? I think you need to import your save and push the issue during the convo.
Also-also - because you give him the bear AND Chris isn't dead (you actually need both), he gives you a gift in return. (not sure about that logic, it just needs a little tweaking, and I might be a little wrong, sometimes these little things have more to them in this game)

1:05:44 I legit gagged. Johnny did a moment before and then this happened and I’m like...shit.
"trying to find some sort of silver lining"
Aoife just became even more awesome
This is it official hate Square enix for killing the dog😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😫😭😭😭
Neeta Pillay yes!! i’m on it too!
Let’s riot
Life is hard, and it’s dontnod not square enix
WHAT TJE FUCK SPOILERS
Dontnod isn't that great at making good gameplay for their games. Having Daniel AND the dog is way to hard for them. So they took the easy way and sadly killed her...
I went with honesty toward C&S. As family i felt like it was worth telling them the truth until they proved themselves untrustworthy. We'd been there a week and Stephen knowing about the powers helps him understand why we're really running.
omg you guys got the best ending, this is why i love your playthrough the most.
Been waiting for this vid for so long!
My next 3 hours are yours, guys.
Good luck!
*This is not okay. This is not okay. This is not okay.*
Killing mushroom was so bloody cruel by the devs.
Everyone: "Don't kill the dog!"
Game developers: *has blindfold on* "Did y'all hear something?"
They would still be able to hear with a blindfold. It would be more fitting to say headphones or something that cancels noise
"Our eyes are covered! We can't hear you!"
Where is episode 3 guys?! I made horrible decisions and feel bad so I need to watch you guys do it sensibly
LOL, "cardboard caps." Them right there is called POGS, kids.
Stone Age, Iron Age, Bronze Age, Pog Age.
Maybe you need to pay to use that name. I've heard them called milk caps too
@@piratetv1 Yea it's probably still technically a trademark, though you have to keep using those to maintain their legal propriety.
Is Sean too young to play with pogs, And know they're called that? I know they got popular when i was older, my younger sister's friends had them but they're in the mid 30s now
@@piratetv1 I played with them when I was in my early teens, but they became pretty niche here after around 1998 so he may not have been aware of the official name. I think the company that made them went bust.
Thank you so much for uploading it so soon, you made my night! You guys rock and did an amazing job with this. Poor mushroom though...
Heh, the name Willamette is pronounced WillA"mette, emphasis on the A. I think the snowman in your collectables will be Snowmancer from captain spirit.
So glad to see you guys play the game, waiting for next episode!
#TeamFloordrobe
I got to the part with the cougar and I felt so guilty I had to restart my game and see if I could fix it. I really wanted rewind powers there.
did no one notice that the sound of running water continued in all the scenes after it started (grandma serving breakfast)?? it’s so annoying! did it to me in my play through too, had to reload a checkpoint to get it to stop.
Great . Thanks. Voice actor for Clare was superb.
At hey are in humboldt county in California I searched it up and that is the place Cassidy said she was heading too and in humboldt county most farmers grow weed so that's why there on the weed farm
Y’all got super attached to the dog lol
Thank you for the video. I Really enjoy the longer videos that are made.
In my playthrough Chris got hit by a car, so I'm basically the worst now o-o I just wanted to protect the secret...
I told Daniel to tell Chris the truth, but Daniel did not listen and Chris still got hit by the police car anyways.
@@franksmith613 I liked Daniel but he was a little shit this episode. I hope I just didn't kill Chris
@@franksmith613 the exact same happened with me..i told daniel to tell him the truth and he still got hit by the car...we just got the worst possible ending
@@streitkrisztian Yeah. I won't go back and change it, but I might replay it when all 5 episodes are out if I don't like the outcome of my game.
On my blind run I said protect the secret and Daniel saved Chris.
These game developers never saw John Wick?
Oh you were so close to finding the key (they should just let you choose search instead of making you look at the sweater before giving the prompt).
Also-also - because you give him the bear AND Chris isn't dead (you actually need both), he gives you a gift in return. (not sure about that logic, it just needs a little tweaking, and I might be a little wrong, sometimes these little things have more to them in this game)
Don’t mind me i’ll just be over here crying 😭
Nooo! You didn't get to read Johnny's article
