Recently I've been agonizing over how best to edge highlight a model that's damaged and worn without sacrificing realism. I think you hit the nail on the head with using chipping to replace the edge highlights. Also I was quite surprised at how well that orange airbrushing gives the finished model a hyper-realistic sense of depth on the yellow panels. Thanks for the tutorial!
