I've just had this issue too, right down to the buttons remapping themselves. The Left Button and the '9' button have become functionally the same as the power button, volume controls work as normal, and a host of other buttons just bring up a Search Bar. After investigating the remote a little bit, I believe the remote is causing the batteries to leak (I got the acid on my fingers, started irritating the skin) and it's lead to damaging the circuit board inside the remote. Doesn't look like a user error in any case.
Same thing with my other half the batteries leak thats the ones that came with the remote, maybe i dont have that issue because i use rechargeable ones?
Hi buddy welcome home, hope you had a great time, the replacement remote came bit this one doesn’t work but the voice bit does so thinking the stream box is faulty
You need to get in contact with sky get them to send you a new remote control out that’s the same as what happened to me. Normally takes 3 days you will get the vibe as they don’t care they will just send you out another remote and your have to deal with it until the new one arrives. Good luck 🤞
@@Jjjhsjwksoo yeah that’s a thing it might right itself in a few hours it’s to do with it’s connection to sky for some reason I have noticed you get these issues when you start getting the cant connect to the internet
@@darinstevenson5043 it’s where the rubbish batteries sky supply leak you need a new remote and take the batteries out that come with it and get rechargeable ones

When they came to collect my tv, they weren’t particularly bothered about taking the remote, I passed it to them anyway to ensure i didn’t get charged

My dad just woke up to controls completely changed around and like don’t let you push anything and just stuck on the home page

My remote works now and again. Seems to go to sleep.
