  • One of the coolest ways to travel within Hong Kong island is to take its vintage tram or nicknamed 'Ding Ding' by the locals.
I had arrived at my hotel in the evening and saw many trams traveling back and forth the buys road in front of my hotel and was intrigued by the beauty and exoticness of the tram so the next day I dedided to use it to get me to the trailhead of the Dragon's back trail.
It was such an amazing way to do sightseeing from the upper deck of this vintage tram. Watching the locals go about their daily business and see less touristy parts of Hong Kong was incredible.
The Hong Kong tram fleet is quite extensive with 150+ trams that carry around 230,000 passengers each day!
The trams operate on one line which runs from west to east on Hong Kong Island, split into six main routes covering a total of 30 kilometers (19 miles) with 120 stops.
