Yeah, it's a neat idea and will probably help new players get into the game and start up a season, but it will be obsolete relatively quickly. So, for me now? I'll never use it except out of pure interest in the short lists (or coaches, I love coaches) but I think this sort of thing helps make the game easier to get into for a lot of people and I absolutely would've used it when I was spending 2 years trying to learn how to play
This is such a cool idea and amazing project! I love the UI and it makes the game accessible and I love how interactive it looks. It's such a shame that so many people here don't like it - I think it is great and means it doesn't take as long to see if a player is good or not and you can instantly see what areas of the game they are good at.
That's why I love the polygon graph, it's gives such a nice representation of what kind of player you have. But I would love to see a more general sense of stats like that skins that grades the player ability instead of giving it a number, would make it more realistic and would be awesome if your scouts were able to give you a grade depending on his ability for the championship you are in vs his grade in comparison to a top flight player. Football managing games could have so much potential if they tried to implement new things instead of sticking to a formula created 30 years ago.
I disagree, I think the 1-20 adds simplicity. Realistically the difference between 95 and 96 doesn't matter. So 20 stats is ok. Maybe it could be 30. But 99 is overkill.
There's an advanced mathematical formula that can achieve that called "multiply by 5" Legend has it some mutated humans (really, more like biological computers at that point) can even do it in their head, without a calculator!
Not sure if it's on their horizon, but being able to enter the full data from one of your (scouted) players and then seeing similar info would be great. Obvious omissions as they don't know what year you're playing in etc would be fine, but getting the best position, style, etc, would be awesome
Fun project, and I guess there's a niche for it. But learning how to evaluate these things on your own is part of the enjoyment of FM in my view. And of course if you paid SI for the editor the "one number" part is already there (and after learning to accurately estimate CA from attributes, I just display it now to save time).
Ive used this for a while, other sites too, I found it usefull getting to know what teams worldwide has the best faccilities, recruitments etc. (of lower leagues)To scout. I found it a lot easier to just take a look at the lower tier clubs with perfect youth intake, every year. Its also nice for IRL knowledge knowing those smaller teams have exceptional youths.
A good tool for FIFA heads coming into FM. It's nice for your first season, but won't be much use a couple of years into your save because it doesn't update with game data. Newgens won't be in here & valuations won't update as players improve. What they've done is very cool, but you might end up just downloading FMRTE so you can peek at their real CA & PA.
This is cool. Very simply you can just scout normally, and once you find 7 players of the same overall then you can analyze between them the normal. I can see it cutting out 2-4 extra screens and mouseclicks
I have my own one-number system to rate my players and scout recommendations in-game based only on their attributes, and it's obviously much more coarse but it helps me sort them out in my plans. Kind of. Sometimes it fails but hey so does everything else. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.
"Overall Ratings" is a good idea. I think it's a good idea for those who are new to the game. But for those who have been playing for a while, you know that it's not possible to calculate "which player is better and which is worse" (when they are close to similar). I always say and repeat: The best player is the one who will meet the needs of his team. If you need tall forwards, invest in tall forwards. If you need more pace, invest in pace. The key to this game is to fill all the visible gaps in the team until you build a solid structure and a solid team.
It's crazy how y'all FM veterans are whining about it. Of course you finding it useless it's not meant for you ! If it can get new players that feel overwhelmed into the game, what's actually wrong about it ?
I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with it, but I also don't really get it. If you can't deal with the few attributes we already have in FM, you're probably not going to enjoy the game anyway
@@kheyoucharles7222 it's not useless bc insert pretentious gatekeeping comment along the lines of "haha noob why can't you tell if 15 finishing with 3 composure is worse than 11 finishing with 10 composure". And it's not your fault. It's obviously on the "fm veterans" for creating this climate. That's what I think most people are commenting on. Atleast the good faith ones.
@@tvojemanka yeah bc having a spreadsheet that tells you exactly how good your player is at something on a scale of one to 20 is super accurate. Stop the pretentious gatekeeping. Comments like yours are the reason the app exists.
Surprised nobody has mentioned that FMinside has done this since FM21 and is largely way more fleshed out than whatever website Zealand is preaching about.
I'm an fmm player, and had spent a whole day coming up with with formulas to get an overall rating based on attributes - which I used as a scouting tool. It gave me ratings in each position: gk, lb/rb, cb, cdm, cm cam, lw/rw, st. Ratings in each role, etc. This just cuts all that prep.
If you could load in your own database that would be great. Numerous wonderkids not reaching their potential because I or other managers can't read the stats of a Striker that would potentially be better as a winger. I love this already
Awesome concept! Would love if this could be adapted into a program that you can drop any player into so you can have info on players (like newgens) in longer saves.
The one thing I hope for more than anything is that this allows you to upload your FM database, and it does the calculations for that save point. Because currently, it seems like it only works with real players. So, good for starting a save in 2024, but it's usefulness declines the further into a save you get, and the more real players retire...
I'm sorry I really don't mean to demean the guys' work but this is mostly stuff that you can essentially do in game. It's just highly stigmatized. Like if you really have the need to distill the players ability into one number look at the ca. If you really need to find "hard working players" (which tbh is really easy to do by scouting) you can just filter players by stamina and/or work rate. Like why use a whole ass external app to do stuff you can do in game? Bc your mates will call you a cheat if you look at ca or sort by attribute? Just play the game the way you think will give you maximum enjoyment and don't worry about if your practices are frowned upon by the community. Again credit to the guys but this seems to me like a way to use the editor/sort by attributes without the stigma. Lastly the predicted potential thing is imho 10 times more gamebreaking than actually looking at the players PA. Like if i just look at the pa all I see is a dude with say 140 potential average determination and balanced personality. I have no way of telling if he will reach that. So even if I sign him knowing his PA there's still risk involved. On the contrary if I look at the estimation of a whole ass algorithm that shows me the number he is likely to get to then there's just 0 risk associated. Idk if I can explain it any better but what I'm essentially saying is PA is a raw number. No info on whether he'll ever get close to it. This new thing not only shows me his potential but also the potential that he is likely to reach. To me that sounds infinitely more gamebreaking but it doesn't have the stigma of cheating so it's fine I guess
The target audience for something like this is new players. Like the video explained it can be overwhelming to get into all these numbers. I can relate as someone for whom fm24 is my first in the series. Eventually noobs will benefit more from learning what all the attributes do but meanwhile stuff like this is a good quick fix.
@@lukasaxelsson685 thanks man! Maybe I'm overreacting but it just bugs me so much that the gatekeeping has forced so many people to look for apps that do stuff you can do in game so that they can avoid the stigma. Like who cares if you "cheat" in a single player game? What even is cheating? It just creates so much toxicity. Like I for example never play with attribute masking. It just takes longer for me to do the exact same task and I don't have that time. It provides no added difficulty you just click continue a couple times more. And I've been made fun of for that by people who use external apps on a daily basis. Why do I have to abide by the communities unwritten rules for a game that i play alone in my bedroom? Makes no sense to me.
@@Juicer988 but it's stuff that is readily available in game. What's the difference between clicking on the editor and seeing the guy has 150ca and loading up an app that says he is rated 75? What's the difference between filtering for hard working players on the app and sorting by workrate in-game? Nothing. It just capitalizes on the new players' insecurity that they'll be called a noob or a cheater if they use the editor. I'm not knocking the creators for making it. I just think the fact that there's an incentive to create an app that does things available to you in game with the only added benefit of avoiding stigma, is really toxic.
@@freeyoungthug4965 Try to put yourself in the shoes of someone who knows nothing about the game who mby didnt buy the editor. something like this can be massively beneficial for how long it takes for somebody to learn the game. The noob doesnt even realize that who cheater argument is even a thing that exists. they just wanna buy the game and try managing their favourite club for a season, which is how I got started for example.
This will probably help new/casual players. I wouldn't like to have an overall as I like there to still be some kind of judgement on my part to look at the stats as a whole and make a judgement it's part of the game to try out a player and succeed or fail; based on your own ability. Making an overall, just kinda makes it a tad more FIFA'ish
Even on Fifa/PES I don't just look at overalls. Some stats are way more important than others. Like a CB on FIFA can be rated 89 but if he has 60 pace he is trash. And a 79 rated CB with 82 pace is much better. Don't see this as a replacement for judging player stats and more as a shorthand for seeing the level of the players. If anything I think is better for finding out teams overall strenght, instead of individual players quality/ Like for example, let's see you are managing on Asia, you just won the league and now want an international title. But you have no idea how strong is the Philippian league for example, so instead of going to the league and check every single player, you scout the league, and take a quick look at the overalls for all the teams. Compare it to your team and it gives you a very quick idea of how strong your team is relative to that league. In the game as it is, that would take you a long time.
@@JM-tj5qm You have some good points, personally, I like the grind and to me it's not really in the spirit of the game for things to be overall laid out for you. You gotta scout the player to find the full details, I just feel knowing an overall would muddy the water a little bit but if it's change that will help people access the game and make judgements on the stats then, meh that's fine
I read a lot of comments that it would help new players to find their way into the game. I think that's just the opposite. New players are then always tempted to go to the website and never bother with the game itself. What I like is the recommended transfer price. I always have trouble finding out what the player is really worth. I also like the feature with similar players. My scouts give me totally weird suggestions for similar players. Even after the third season where the database is filled with scouted players.
@@johncena284it will give a rating like 14.15 , basically 1-20 but using a decimal to be even more accurate , this comes from adding up attributes etc.. and giving them a weighting system for which attributes are more important for the role. There are videos on RUclips to show you how it works. The you tube name is FM DATA LABS for the Fm data version , this also has a moneyball system , you basically load all the stats in , and you can see from your shortlist who is good at what , goals per game etc... so if you want a moneyball save then this helps. The other one is FM PLAYER SCORING SYSTEM , this is by FM youtuber SQUIRREL_PLAYS , its very similar ,,but has a different rating system so the scores are different. They both explain their system, so you go with which one you like , both offer an editing system so if you don't like which attributes they think a role needs , you can put your own. Which will then score the players based on your attributes. Both of them deserve more credit tbh.
I like the idea of this, especially the recommended price. If only this was integrated into the staff you have in the game to make them slightly less useless
This would be cool if there was some sort of custom player where you could plug in the stats for your regens. I’m like on year 30 of this career and just want to see what the pecking order of my squad would be to see who’s under/over-performing 😢
I was looking In the comments for this , I was going to ask about regens , if it doesn't update with the game then this is absolutely useless. No point in judging players for the first season, then everything on it becomes pointless after a season. You should be able to load your game into it to keep it upgraded. It looked a decent program , but its pointless.
We seasoned FM managers dont need this, we like the numbers and stats shown and given to us at any given time! I bet with simplefied numbers like this my FM qualities will decade!
My first reaction to this as a more veteran FM player was negative, but I also realize that it probably would have taken me at least 1-2 years sooner to start playing FM if this had existed around when I started. A lot of people like myself in the past try FM because they are bored of Fifa/FC career mode, I don't see why a tool to help than transition to FM is such a bad thing.
I usually just play with editor on and see how good the players are by the current ability number because i was transitioning from fifa to fm last year. call me dumb but i like to see a number go up... gives me dopamine.
As much as i‘m stunned by the amount of time and effort those ppl invest to get such lists ready to go, as much i have to say that i don‘t even want to know those things so precisely. Football Manager is all about uncertainyties and unknown variables for me 😂 I kind of want them to stay mysterious
If these rating and such are calculated via algorithms, this should be able turn into a live scouting tool that could work for newgens? If it's static for only the default database, I don't really see the point tbh
People saying why this is useless, I do think this can be used to learn the game. Like a new player sees the overall and the stats and says "Wait, why is this player much higher overall than this guy, the lower rated guy is slower and has lower finishing?" Then he looks at the stats, and sees that the slower and lower finishing guy has 17 anticipation, 14 decisions, 13 composure, 15 off ball. While the other dude has all those attributes at 10 or lower. Now he learns those attributes are important. Of course you can use it to dumb the game down and not think about the stats, but to take full advantage of the game, you still want to learn what every attribute does, because a 81 overall player maybe better for your tactic than a 85 overall player I hope this gets implemented on a skin for fm24 Btw if you rank nations by player overall rating England is first ahead of Brazil.
I'll never understand "mercurial" being used as a compliment for a certain type of footballer. It means inconsistent - someone you'll never know what you're going to get with as they blow hot and cold. That isn't a desirable trait.
I personally won't be using this too much myself, but this seems like a great tool for newer players who are more comfortable with Career Mode style foundations and can gradually weave them into more core FM mechanics. It's pretty cool to see what players could theoretically play other positions effectively based on the attributes they posses. Might be fun to try an "reinvent" a player's career outside of their default position.
Useful tool. Though i’m personally quite hesitant to see people squish such detailed information like player attributes into one number. Some attributes matter much more in the match engine than others and i don't think i would agree how the overall ratings have been calculated. So i wouldn't trust the overall ratings blindly. However i could see myself using this as a scouting tool for more obscure players around the world.
Useful for new players and for FM content creators to make FIFA-like content, as it is similar to sofifa, but not particularly a tool for regular FM players. Overall, it's a nice tool, though I personally wouldn't use it.
yea we just killed the server :'D can't imagine the bill of these dudes in a couple of months.... With no ads or subscription at sight, I really appreciate the sacrifice for the community :D
this is a thing i wanated years ago, crazy its been made, but i dont see a point playres improve or get worse within years it needs to be built in game
It's a cheat code, but I did use cheat codes playing GTA when I was 12 and I had fun, so I'm not judging. Still, I'm truly woried for FM to become more like FIFA.
This would be FANTASTIC if it could be integrated into a skin. Absolute gamechanger for people who don't have much time to play the game, well done to the developers!
yes a lot of this is possible to do via the editor but this is SO streamlined. Great for new players with a more familiar visual language. What anyone else does does not affect your game, i don't get why some of you are so offended
This is the problem with modern gaming. Every game is dumbing down. Fm isn’t supposed to be easy that’s the thing it’s not supposed to be a fifa career mode where u end up with 90 rated players
Is it a bad thing for people who want to use this to have it available?? I would never use this but but fm is a very difficult game to get into and this could ease the transition for newer players to get into the game, more players helps everyone
Idk how to explain to Zealand that the game being hard to learn is part of the FM experience. I’m pretty sure is meant to be this difficult realistic type game that imitates the complexities of. Being a real manager if real football managers don’t get overall rating from their scouts I don’t see why they should add it. This game had a niche market that loved it but doing things like this makes those people that play for the realism pissed off. Easy Solution make the console version have OVR ratings and us sweats on PC leave us one!!!!
Not something I'll use but I really don't get this take and I'm seeing it a lot, it's not like anyone is forcing you to use it? I don't get why people get so angry about there being a tool that they don't like out there, just don't use it yourself, it's a single player game why should it matter to you how people play it?
Personally being unique sold fm, trying to be fifa simulator will kill most of the fm intrest ,personally I started playing fm an year ago it was tought to get into but its realistic simulation seperated it from boring fifa manager career and thats what got me hooked since, seems this updates just give me more reason to stay at fm 24 all the best for the people who want fm to be a fifa career simulator enjoy fm 25

I love the UI and it makes the game accessible and I love how interactive it looks. It's such a shame that so many people here don't like it - I think it is great and means it doesn't take as long to see if a player is good or not and you can instantly see what areas of the game they are good at.
I started FM when you made this video. No overall rating keeps me hooked. It's the core of fun to gradually improve my team in its own context.
thats really cool for people starting fm, personally i wont use it because i think no ratings is part of the challenge of fm
Converting the 1-20 Ratings to 1-99 Ratings would be better than having an overall 1-99 rating.
Yeah I agree with this one
i was looking for a skin like this, never found something tho...
the site also does that! all the attributes are on a 1-99 scale
I can see it cutting out 2-4 extra screens and mouseclicks
nice to see you wearing a daggers shirt mate!
It's unrealistic tbh, football manager isn't supposed to be fifa, it's supposed to be a manager simulation
@@tvojemanka It's almost entirely a single player game why do you care how other people play it?
@@kheyoucharles7222 it's not useless bc insert pretentious gatekeeping comment along the lines of "haha noob why can't you tell if 15 finishing with 3 composure is worse than 11 finishing with 10 composure". It's useless bc it's stuff that you can do in game but you don't do it just bc you are insecure that someone will tell you that using the editor means you are automatically worthless and you should quit the game for ever.
The one feature that will be most requested ? Obviously to import your own saves and scroll through the players there
Surprised nobody has mentioned that FMinside has done this since FM21 and is largely way more fleshed out than whatever website Zealand is preaching about.
Never thought I’d see Zealand in my Dagenham and Redbridge top 🤣
I'm an fmm player, and had spent a whole day coming up with with formulas to get an overall rating based on attributes - which I used as a scouting tool.
It gave me ratings in each position: gk, lb/rb, cb, cdm, cm cam, lw/rw, st.
Ratings in each role, etc.
This just cuts all that prep.
throws the whole point of attributes and realism in the gutter
Great tool for the new player! - for the experience players something that we don’t need to use if we don’t want to
If you could load in your own database that would be great. Numerous wonderkids not reaching their potential because I or other managers can't read the stats of a Striker that would potentially be better as a winger. I love this already
Awesome concept!
Would love if this could be adapted into a program that you can drop any player into so you can have info on players (like newgens) in longer saves.
I mean this is just the current ability, doesnt change much imo..
is no one gonna mention Zealand's Dagenham & Redbridge shirt? 😂
W idea to help people get into the game. Don’t know why people are complaining, if you don’t like it DONT USE IT.
Couldn’t agree more
The target audience for something like this is new players.
Only thing missing in efem is a way to import your save file , so you can check the players you got after some years of play.
Would be exciting to have new feature in the website to check your own save - when negens have been generated and have had time to develop.
If anything I think is better for finding out teams overall strenght, instead of individual players quality/
Like for example, let's see you are managing on Asia, you just won the league and now want an international title.
Based Dag and Red jersey
I read a lot of comments that it would help new players to find their way into the game. I think that's just the opposite. New players are then always tempted to go to the website and never bother with the game itself.
What I like is the recommended transfer price. I always have trouble finding out what the player is really worth. I also like the feature with similar players. My scouts give me totally weird suggestions for similar players. Even after the third season where the database is filled with scouted players.
what a time to be alive
It would be awesome that they developed a tool that loads your save in real time and calculated the values of the newgens
Try FM Data Lab, it does this.
@@carsizedburrito thanks, It also has The overall ratings? Or only the ones from 1 to 20?
@@johncena284 Has scores from 1-20 for each role.
Nice Spongebob reference. I feel like it was a tough one to catch. Anyone else?
I like the idea of this, especially the recommended price. If only this was integrated into the staff you have in the game to make them slightly less useless
This would be cool if there was some sort of custom player where you could plug in the stats for your regens. I’m like on year 30 of this career and just want to see what the pecking order of my squad would be to see who’s under/over-performing 😢
I'm gonna need a Zealand oiled up for my displate
Fire Z, thanks for sharing 🔥🔥🔥
Loving the Daggers shirt
Too bad you can't get the overall of your newgens...
Yeah kind of useless after a couple of seasons
I was looking In the comments for this , I was going to ask about regens , if it doesn't update with the game then this is absolutely useless.
No point in judging players for the first season, then everything on it becomes pointless after a season.
You should be able to load your game into it to keep it upgraded.
It looked a decent program , but its pointless.
@@steve10 Yep. Seems like one of those cool projects that is pretty useless
We seasoned FM managers dont need this, we like the numbers and stats shown and given to us at any given time! I bet with simplefied numbers like this my FM qualities will decade!
Wooo a Pio Esposito shoutout. Carried my Spezia side to a UCL title
Feels like one big advert this.
If it's static for only the default database, I don't really see the point tbh
hidden attributes for those holier than thou that won't use the in-game editor, fair play
I've always wanted to get into FM but found it a little too much... This might actually be helpful for me to get started 😊
Now all we need is for this to be modded into the game somehow sl it can update according to how your save is going and rate new players coming in
Not something I would personally use since the unknown and the PAIN is part of the FM magic but its still pretty good
Wow a lot of cry babies in the comments. I need this website. I play a couple of hours a week, and this will help save so much time.
seeing Messi at that age among the best players in the world their 20's gives me chills
Really cool tool however it kinds kills the point of the game no?
DONT PLAY WITH IT THEN, SHUT UP
I mean FM offers more than just player scout/transfer. Its just a tool, you dont have to use it. But if you want to, its there

@ThiagoLc06 Did I ever tell others to not use it?
I'm simply trying to start a discussion on a media platform, Chill out bro.
i would love to have a mode in fifa mode were we can play with the FM team we created through the years.
Of course you can use it to dumb the game down and not think about the stats, but to take full advantage of the game, you still want to learn what every attribute does, because a 81 overall player maybe better for your tactic than a 85 overall player
I hope this gets implemented on a skin for fm24
Btw if you rank nations by player overall rating England is first ahead of Brazil.
The journey to Valhalla is a long and lonely one
I surely won't use it, however it should be implemented in the future as an app. Scanning newgens and identifying wonderkinds would be OP
I'd use this if we could upload our own databases to check regens since I pretty much know the real players by heart.
I'd be down for this if the rating skewed and became a range for players/staff with lower Judging Player Ability
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaau Z! Do you want to make a video on Francesco Farioli, the Ajax headcoach
Now we need a skin that incorporate that
Imagine that being possible...
Now what everybody wants is a new gen wonderkid appraiser
Useful for new players and for FM content creators to make FIFA-like content, as it is similar to sofifa, but not particularly a tool for regular FM players. Overall, it's a nice tool, though I personally wouldn't use it.
yea we just killed the server :'D can't imagine the bill of these dudes in a couple of months.... With no ads or subscription at sight, I really appreciate the sacrifice for the community :D
Hello Zealand, don't you think this tool ruins the fun of Football Manager? Isn't it more fun to dive into the unknown?
this is a thing i wanated years ago, crazy its been made, but i dont see a point playres improve or get worse within years it needs to be built in game
That takes away so much fun for me
I think will broke the game
Zealand broke their website😂😂😂
It's a cheat code, but I did use cheat codes playing GTA when I was 12 and I had fun, so I'm not judging. Still, I'm truly woried for FM to become more like FIFA.
Is not a cheatcode...
FMscout had a similar tool that was able to be used on the ongoing saves. Dunno if it is discontinued now.
They could totally figure out a potential from the top and bottom of a players pa range and viz that
No, because the stat distribution is much more important than the PA number.
So that just turns FM into FIFA in terms of attributes. no thanks
Awesome!
Love this. Great way to
Play moneyball
I just bought fm 24 because of this. that’s what I was waiting for to be developed. Cause I’m not into reading through all these 0-20 ratings and shit.
