- This video details how to get the white rear facing light to dual function as reverse and cargo. This will work on any 2019 2020 2021 and 2022 Silverado or Sierra T1 truck where the light is already properly functioning (as cargo lamp only). The installation is very simple and takes less than 5 minutes to install. This will work on Silverado and Sierra trucks.

I have a 2019 gmc serria 1500 slt texas edition 4wd I have the regular mirrors but I want to upgrade to tow mirrors can this be done if so what do I need to make that happen ?

You may want to update your video. I purchased this for my truck and upon installing it by your video my wipers came on when placed it in reverse. I have a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD DRW and for this to work you need to use pin 26 on the BROWN connector and pin 26 on the PINK connector. And yes...the cargo light also comes on when placed in reverse.

My cargo lamps on the mirrors stay on when it’s dark no matter what gear I’m in. What would cause this?

Could I just do jump the body control harness black and grey modules to just get the Cargo lamps to Work instead of messing with the three wires thru the door panel?
Not if you didn't originally have towing mirrors - you need to add the wires for cargo lights to your doors to get them to work. Email sales@boostautoparts.com if you would like more guidance or call us at 765-831-2830
Not a big fan of the mirrors. Is there a way to put the previous models mirrors on the 2020?

Hey are you able to do a video of a base model Sierra mirrors upgrading to Denali mirrors ?
Are you referencing the towing mirrors or the non-towing mirrors? We do already have a towing mirror upgrade video.
Pin 9 for me is empty. Just installed rzy harness and everything works fine but I also purchased this but there is nothing in that pin

How can I get the cargo lights to turn on when I open door
That is typically factory functionality if it is dark outside.
What would make them not come on I put the wires in the T taps and everything
This installation requires the cargo lights be properly operating prior to installing this harness (this harness only has them trigger with reverse). If they weren't previously working you will need some other harnesses.

Without this module, you can still manually turn on the reverse mirror lights when shifted into park or reverse correct?
You will still be able to manually command on the rear facing mirror lights while the vehicle is in park. GM changes the ability to turn them on in reverse based on trim and year. It's best to test that by putting the truck in reverse and pressing the cargo button and seeing if the other cargo lights come on.
Is it possible to make the cargo lights also flash when you use your blinkers. I saw that on a duramax going down the interstate and thought it was cool
Unfortunately we don't have that as an option - but we are working on a signal on glass upgrade for these applications where you could add the red signal on glass. Keep an eye on our RUclips, Facebook, and Instagram for the formal announcement!
I bought this on the impression that on my 2019 1500 ltz it would make my cargo light come on in reverse or unlock the doors. My truck does not have a wire in the location on the black connector. It is empty. Was I wrong? Someone on the gm truck forum said they used it to make the cargo light and the light on the tailgate to come on when youj unlock the doors.
This kit is only to activate the tow mirror cargo lights. It will NOT work to activate the cargo light in the third brake light.

Could this module be used to make the top cargo light above bed come on with the dome light when you open the door ?
Unfortunately we don't currently have that option, however I will relay the interest to our development team!
Is there any way to have the cargo/mirrors lights come on when driving forward? It would be handy when positioning a trailer in the dark.

Is this the same install kit you would need to turn on the 2019-2020 Silverado 1500 mirrors lights whenever driving lights are on?
This is not for the forward facing mirror spot lights on the 2019+ mirrors. We will have a separate kit for that; keep an eye on our RUclips/social media, it will be released in about 1 month.

That's right, as of today (5/14/21) still in development. We do have the necessary harnesses to upgrade to towing mirrors now available if you do not want to wait. That would allow you to add OEM towing mirrors.
