That Minnesota dispatcher played a key role in solving this case by recognizing this man and pointing detectives in a direction that led to finding that little girl. So glad that little girl is okay.

I don't mind the long videos, quite the opposite. But I like the way Explore with Us does it. They have running commentary, analysis and background info with pics, video, crime scene photos etc. alongside the interrogation, sometimes over three hours long. Insane amount of work.
I feel like something ppl miss too is that with all the talk about kink shaming recently people are afraid to think about WHY people have certain kinks... An unhealthy mentally ill man who loves dominating people is trying to gain the control he feels like he doesn't have, and it's dangerous.

Holy shit, the little girl writing a letter that says she doesn't like the way he plays with her. That's one of the most heartbreaking things I think I've ever heard when it comes to cases like this. She's so young she didn't even fully understand and only used the words she knows to describe it. Idk why but that really got to me.

He probably was worried that they would follow his movements after the first interview so he knew he couldn’t risk going back to that camper and obviously he would have killed the little girl had she by the luck of god not been found by police. It rarely ends like this. Bless her little heart and i hope she does great things in her future.

They covered this story on TV. Can’t remember which show it was. I cried at the end. So happy she ended up safe. Why child rapists don’t get life w out parole I’ll never understand.

I can't imagine how absolutely sick that woman must've felt when she realized the place her daughter was supposed to be had burned down, and then probably getting a mixture of relief and nausea again when the police said they only found one body. This is an excellent video! The voice-over explaining what is going on during the interrogation, techniques, etc. is the key! A lot of other similar sites do not have this feature. They get passed over.
The lesson here is to be careful of who you trust with watching your kid(s). Even if your friends are generally honest and hard-working people, no one truly knows what anyone is thinking of at the end of the day. Glad to see the kid was found alive because after watching hundreds of true crime videos, it's always sad to hear when they don't. It is a bitter feeling to think that death may have even been the saving grace of their harrowing experience.

This isn’t role playing. What mother leaves a 5 year old with a woman who is into sexual deviant behavior, who has a boyfriend that is a convicted child sex predator?? A physical examination and subsequent tests revealed 5 year old Brittany had been sexually assaulted by Jacob Kinn. In an interview with officials at a family advocacy center, 5 year old Brittany identified Jacob Kinn as one of Melissa’s "friends" and said he put tape on her, took her to the cabin and told 5 year old Brittany that he was never coming back. According to a warrant, detectives reviewed text messages between Melissa and Jacob. The detective writes that the two of them had been "apparently attempting to acquire the child for the purpose of sexually assaulting her." This monster Jacob Kinn needs the death sentence. I find it a lot more interesting and insightful watching the interrogations, you get to see how these sick people speak and act. Your explanations on the body language, the techniques that the police use are all things I've never seen or heard of before. The relief that went through my body when they showed a picture of that baby girl safe. I can't even begin to imagine what her parents went through first off realising she was missing, assuming the worst, finding her safe, then only to find out that their "friend" had offered their daughter as a gift. I'm so used to babies like this being found deceased, that I'm still in complete shock that was she was found alive. Thank god for that dispatcher, she truly saved that little girls life.

That's exactly what I'm thinking, especially after watching and listening to the horrific stories of what people do to children. There's not a single soul that you can 100% trust with your child..not the other parent, not the grandparents, not sisters, not brothers, not aunt & uncles, not your friends, not the priest/pastor, just absolutely NO ONE.

It was mentioned but obliquely. It is a small town and constant reference to the abuse may make it harder for her to heal mentally.

I can't imagine how absolutely sick that woman must've felt when she realized the place her daughter was supposed to be had burned down, and then probably getting a mixture of relief and nausea again when the police said they only found one body. The lesson here is to be careful of who you trust with watching your kid(s). Even if your friends are generally honest and hard-working people, no one truly knows what anyone is thinking of at the end of the day. Glad to see the kid was found alive because after watching hundreds of true crime videos, it's always sad to hear when they don't. It is a bitter feeling to think that death may have even been the saving grace of their harrowing experience.

A physical examination and subsequent tests revealed 5 year old Brittany had been sexually assaulted by Jacob Kinn. In an interview with officials at a family advocacy center, 5 year old Brittany identified Jacob Kinn as one of Melissa’s "friends" and said he put tape on her, took her to the cabin and told 5 year old Brittany that he was never coming back.
According to a warrant, detectives reviewed text messages between Melissa and Jacob. The detective writes that the two of them had been "apparently attempting to acquire the child for the purpose of sexually assaulting her."
This monster Jacob Kinn needs the death sentence. I don’t understand how anyone who rapes a child gets to live.

Your explanations on the body language, the techniques that the police use are all things I've never seen or heard of before. The relief that went through my body when they showed a picture of that baby girl safe. I can't even begin to imagine what her parents went through first off realising she was missing, assuming the worst, finding her safe, then only to find out that their "friend" had offered their daughter as a gift.
I'm so used to babies like this being found deceased, that I'm still in complete shock that was she was found alive. Thank god for that dispatcher, she truly saved that little girls life.

It was mentioned but obliquely. It is a small town and constant reference to the abuse may make it harder for her to heal mentally.
