The funniest stat for his Patriots career to me is that with the 13-3 victory in SB53, the Patriots scored the fewest points of any winner BUT ALSO this was (at the time) the only time Brady played in a Super Bowl that was decided by more than 1 score. They somehow scored the fewest points to win AND achieved their greatest margin of victory at the same time. Then two years later, Brady got to experience the only Super Bowl blowout of his career.
Brady’s 13 points in that Super Bowl actually ties the record for the least offensive points scored by a super bowl winning team, not broke it. He tied his own record in fact, as he led his offense to 13 points in his first super bowl win as well
The defense that year was garbage, watching them all season was a series of heart-attacks. Their complete exposure in the Super Bowl was well overdue--Malcolm Butler wouldn't have made the difference some people imagine, he wasn't that good anymore anyways.

Pretty impressive considering they also faced Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, and Matt Ryan in playoff games during that stretch of time, none of whom achieved those same marks Brady did in Super Bowl 49.

Interesting-ish fact, the Rams had the pick right before Brady was drafted. Theoretically they could have drafted Brady and instead of losing to Brady in the Super Bowl, win another Super Bowl or two, and then there might be another Montana-Young situation years later.
@@diggsfather that rams system in the early 2000’s injured every qb they put out there. He would have put up great numbers in a great offense, but injuries probably would have let him down
There's way to many what Ifs! Sometimes certain players thrive in certain situations and schems and with coaches. It's very possible that Brady wouldnt be Brady if he went to another team. It was just right place at the right time for Brady and it paid off big time
Did you just start following them within that span to believe it's only been the last decade (aside from the 2018 regular season) defined by ineptitude for the Bears? It's probably been closer to 95% if not higher of everything they've done beyond 1985 which has resulted in futility and failure.
These ratings are a little unnecessarily tough considering the level of difficulty, the relentless pass rush (Giants), and how well Brady played at at the pivotal moments of every single Super Bowl game. In every single Super Bowl Game -- all 10 of them -- Tom Brady had put his Team ahead in the 4th Quarter at the very end, and in a position to win ( Tied in the case of Atlanta). In three games, The Patriots Defense just laid down on the final possession and had failed to keep the other Team out of the End Zone (Giants, Eagles). In one of the games, Bill Belichick even helped the Eagles out by unnecessarily BENCHING his own best Cornerback (Malcolm Butler), which wasted Brady's record 500-yard performance, and in 2008 Belichick forfeited away an easy 45-yard Field Goal (Dome stadium) and forced Brady to instead go for a low percentage 4th -n- 13 against the Giants Blitz ( they lost by 3-points - hence NOT very smart Coaching at all here). So Tom Brady's record should have really been 10 - 0 in these Super Bowls. He played that well. Tom Brady put his Team ahead in the 4th Quarter at the end and in a position to win in every single Super Bowl. NO ONE WILL EVER DUPLICATE OR MATCH THAT RECORD. Rating: LEGEND!! -- This is Babe Ruth / Michael Jordan category performance. You will not ever see this again.
Brady was walking around in a cast right before SBLII, he'd been hurt in the AFC Championship Game against the Chargers. While he isn't known for his mobility, that definitely affected his timing and rhythm.

I agree with everything except for the 2012 superbowl. I feel its B tier because both teams were methodically going down the field (like the 2007 superbowl). Plus Gronk had a high ankle sprain and was almost a non-factor in that game and Collinsworth even said that on that INT if Gronk was healthy he would've knocked it down or caught it, but because his ankle was so bad he couldn't put any pressure on it and was unable to jump for the jump ball. Additionally, that Welker drop was the game. At 4:07 if he gets that worst case Giants use the time out and they have 3 plays and get it past the 2 minute warning before going for the field goal making the deficit 5. The giants dominated the possession. Even though NE converted more 3rd downs (6-12 vs 5-11) and a fourth down 1-1. They were out possessed 37:05 to 22:05. Finally, you forgot to mention the injury he had during the 2011 game. Brady played the second half of the 2011 season with a separated left shoulder. In the waining minutes of the 3rd quarter Tuck planted Brady directly on his left shoulder with all his weight and it reagravated it. Not saying he couldn't do anything, but with that injury and still staying in the pocket and having his receivers drop 3-4 balls late (Welker, Branch, & Hernandez), it was a B tier game. Especially since it was the most passing yards they allowed throughout that playoff run.
Hey KTO, I was looking back at the 2010 Draft Class and think it might be one of the best Offensive Line classes ever. So many Pro-Bowls, starters and backups who stuck around for almost 10 years. Even the UDFA’s were impressive! Would be cool to see a video on it!

10 Super Bowls. 7 Wins. 3 Losses. The 3? Lost by 3; Lost by 4 - Failed Hail Mary; Lost by 8 - Failed Hail Mary. @joef7417 You wanna talk about QBs carried by their defense you are in the wrong place, I’m sure there’s a Peyton Manning video somewhere you can find.
@joef7417 That is the most common argument for people saying brady is overrated what? People always act like he had a million weapons and the greatest defense ever. And for parts of his career that’s not wrong, but that’s literally every great player ever. Which is why I brought up Peyton. Because nobody argues about Peyton being overrated even though he only won rings with cracked defenses.
Tom Brady winning a super bowl MVP by throwing less than 150 yards on 1 touchdown, not a single pass 25 or more yards, and leading his offense to less points than opposing offense is one of the most Brady things I can think of
Think about the narrative… Later in his career, that would never get SB MVP. But he was a no name QB and was the underdog in his first SB. I understand them giving him MVP for the “feel good” once in a life time moment. Nobody thought he would become the GOAT tho lol..
In both SBS he didn’t have great weapons and still ball out aka was clutch Hell when he does lose people think it’s 100% on him 41 points on the defense dropped Asante pick and dropped welker pick or even getting sacked 5-6 times in a SB 70% win percentage isn’t bad his regular season percentage is 75%
What’s amazing about his career, Brady never really had a bad SB. Some mediocre ones in the Rams games, but even in those games still made the drive to get the GW score.
Two mehs against the Rams (one as basically a rookie), and two more against the Giants. That's more mediocre Super Bowl performances than almost anyone has appearances.
@@warlordofbritannia Sorry, but one of those Giants SBs... he should have won. The Helmet Catch... to this day... STILL makes no sense. There's something really awesome that the best QBs of all time aren't spectacular athletes or young superstuds. They are guys who understand how offense works and can adapt to work with different WRs and styles. That's how they stay good for a long time - Even when you try to scheme against them, they see the adjustment and find the good matchups. Compare to dual threat and RPO guys, who tend to be great for a while and then crater because they get injured or worn down, or they lose a key target and can't adapt. Today's younger QBs do tend to be more mobile, but guys like Mahomes are reading a defense and looking to throw, not to keep the ball and run.
He was either Clutch or Played great in the 7 SB Wins 6 game winning drives and 5 SB MVPS 21-6 Tds to Picks in 10 SBS to put it into comparison Peyton in 4 SBS is 2-5 and Mahomes in two SBS 2-4 tds to pick ratio

It's funny that we blame the defense for ONE superbowl loss, while they are largely responsible for the win against the seahawks, eagles, rams, panthers, shutout the falcons in the second half leading to the comeback, and held the giants to 17 and 21 points both times, oh and the Rams to 3 points. I agree with your rankings if you don't take into account the patriots defense AND special teams (Vinatieri, Gostkowski). 2015 was certainly NOT an S tier performance. It was a masterclass by Mcdaniels in which the Seahawks have had issues in the past with short shifty receivers(T.Y. Hilton types) and the Pats exploited that. Brady threw for 300+ yards and only had like 3 or 4 throws which were in the air for more than 10 yards. Brady was lackluster to poor in the first half in 80% of the superbowls. If it weren't for the defense creating huge stops, some of the games would have gotten out of hand not allowing the opportunity for Brady to generate these comebacks (not taking credit away from Brady) and it needs to be pointed out.
The giants game the score wasn’t as much of a problem as the TOP. The defense couldn’t get off the field. The only SBs that were mostly won by the defense were the Rams SBs. The eagles SB was balanced, but Brady was the driving for in the rest. There’s a reason he won 4 out of the 6 SB MVPs in NE.
The funniest thing about Brady's Super Bowl win with the Bucs is listening to pundits say Patrick Mahomes was still the best player on the field in a 32-9 loss.
Tom brady carried the fuck out of that OL in superbowl 49 vs the seahawks. They were practically beat by the pass rush nearly every play but his quick throws and decison making kept the offense moving
I celebrate National 'not running the ball day' every February 3rd, I believe every American outside of Washington state would agree with me. Brady prevented the Seagulls from being a dynasty.
Seeing highlights of the 2008 and 2015 Super Bowls were painful reminders of Packers playoff failures. Favre’s last game as a Packer and the horrible collapse in Seattle.
It took me a minute to realize these were going off of the calendar year the game was being played in, cause me as a Steelers fan saw that he said in 05 the patriots won it and I was like what? We did! Or am I in some alternate universe right now 🤣
In 07 Brady had 48 pass attempts in that game and still had 0 interceptions which is the Super Bowl Record For Most attempts, without an interception in a game. And in 11 completed a 98 yard Drive which is the longest Drive in Super Bowl history with only 8 seconds left in the half And finished it off with a touchdown pass to Danny Woodhead to put the Patriots up 10-9 going into halftime And then at the very next drive of the game at the start of the 3th quarter Tom Brady drove down the field again taking the patriots 79 yards and throwing a touchdown to Aaron Hernandez to put the patriots up 17-9 Oh and by the way that touchdown pass to Hernandez was his 16th consecutive completion which is the most in any Super Bowl game ever
I never doubted brady as a good qb, I just didnt like him that much. But after 28-3, 5 strait touchdown drives, and two 2 point conversions. He noy only earned my respect as a great qb, but easily the best to do ever do it
It was a game with an unprecedented amount of unlikely occurences to happen in such rapid succession to benefit one team. Super unlikely. And his two 2 points were thrown behind the LOS. Lame. Hes overrated y'all just dickride
Is it a hot take to say that Brady isn’t the GOAT? If you’re looking at it from an outside perspective I’m not sure how you don’t pick someone like Dan Marino or Joe Montana over Brady(and at at the rate he’s going Mahomes is gonna take the crown eventually). Brady’s defenses while he was with the pats ranked 8th, 10th, 9th, 8th, 5th, 8th, 4th, 2nd, 4th, 1st, and 6th with the only “outliers” being 2002 and 2011 in which his defenses ranked 17th and 15th. And on top of that he had one of the most brilliant coaching minds to ever live. The only thing I’d give him that was insane was his mind. The man could pick apart defenses like it was nothing. Everything else about him was somewhere between meh and good. Average arm, good accuracy, terrible mobility, etc. I’m not saying he was a bad QB in the slightest I just think that he was carried by his situation as well as luck much more than other QBs who were just better football players than him
In 3 out of 4 NFC title games, Montanna’s defense never gave up more than 6 points. Brady in his entire career never had that. It’s not luck when you reach 10 SBs.
@@daviddechamplain5718 well yea cuz Montanna only made it to four to Brady’s ten. Brady won a SB with his new team while Montanna was unable to do that with the chiefs. Brady also has a higher career passer rating and better TD to INT ratio. Mahomes who’s this era star says he’s chasing Brady and that sums it up to me.
Those 2 Super bowl against the giants will never not hurt, what it could’ve been, specially super bowl 42, but it’s a little comforting to know that neither of those loses were his fault specially in 2008, his o-line didn’t protect him a lot, Asante Samuel dropped a game ending interception, Randy moss doesn’t fight to catch the Hail Mary when it touched his finger tips and lastly Welker was very quiet that sb without actually doing anything when New England as a whole needed him the most, everything he could’ve done, he did and just for that he will always be the goat to me.

Interesting-ish fact, the Rams had the pick right before Brady was drafted. Theoretically they could have drafted Brady and instead of losing to Brady in the Super Bowl, win another Super Bowl or two, and then there might be another Montana-Young situation years later.

It's very possible that Brady wouldnt be Brady if he went to another team.
It was just right place at the right time for Brady and it paid off big time
nah he wouldn't have done too well, the pats had amazing defenses his entire career which definitely helped him out of some hard spots.
The Rams were founded with nazi gold.
Im a bears fan and watching tom brady juke out brian urlacher described our team the past 10 years.
Did you just start following them within that span to believe it's only been the last decade (aside from the 2018 regular season) defined by ineptitude for the Bears? It's probably been closer to 95% if not higher of everything they've done beyond 1985 which has resulted in futility and failure.
Brady was just too quick a runner for Brian Uhrlacher. 🤣
The Rams v Patriots was a great Super Bowl! I love defensive battles!
You will not ever see this again.

super bowl 51 the 28-3 comeback was my birthday thank god im not a falcons fan but that would have been brutal if a was
I agree with everything except for the 2012 superbowl.

Tom Brady winning a super bowl MVP by throwing less than 150 yards on 1 touchdown, not a single pass 25 or more yards, and leading his offense to less points than opposing offense is one of the most Brady things I can think of

@@jrad410 On the other hand, Montana's career Super Bowl QB rating is 127.8 to Brady's 97.7. Brady was a great QB no doubt, but the greatest?
@@daviddechamplain5718 well yea cuz Montanna only made it to four to Brady’s ten. Brady won a SB with his new team while Montanna was unable to do that with the chiefs. He mentions Brady having “terrible mobility” but doesn’t understand how you don’t pick Dan Marino over him like Marino was oh so mobile 😂

14 Seahawks: B Tier. Besides a bad pick, he made the comeback and played very well against the toughest D of the 2010's.
16 Falcons. C Tier. Hot Take, Brady's role in the comeback is minimal. If the Falcons score off the inside kick, they lose. If they don't get the fumble recovery, they don't have time to come back. If the Falcons don't drain the TO and kick the FG after the Julio catch, they lose.
18 Eagles. A Tier. Brady's best super bowl is the one they lost. He truly did everything he could... Except catch.
19 Rams. F Tier. Bad game for literally everyone on both sides. He did nothing impressive, nor did anyone.
20 Bucs. C Tier. Game manager. He didn't need to do much with the suffocating Bucs D.
I think that's a little unfair for SB 55. He still played great on offense even if the defense was the main reason they won. I do agree that he shouldn't have been MVP of his first SB. Should have been Ty Law.
Interesting. I wouldn’t say brady was minimal in the comeback, but I think James White was definitely the most important piece
@@gbrow1604 I think Brady played well in the 2nd half. But if it wasn't for a lot of falling apart by the falcons and stellar defense, he does have the time to come back.
@@TheDMsofDisability I'm talking about the Bucs SB.
@@gbrow1604 my B.
Can you do top ten recruits of the 2014 class and where they are ?
I hate the fact that you label them by the year they were played in, should be the year of the season.
Why the fuck am I watching this as a Falcons fan? I already know what the top choice is.
Well done on this video, I was engaged the whole time!!!
