I was at the FDTD album release show and this was my favorite era of AA. It resonated with me. But in general, AA resonated with me the most because Danny did. I didn't get into this emo, scene stuff very hard but was interested in a lot of the heavier bands that were a part of the warped tour scene and when AA came out, somewhere in the beginning of 2010 or so, I became enthralled with Danny because he was so relatable and he was the only "scene" vocalist who really was the essence of rock n roll in the warped tour scene. Way more than Radke and Biersack. Like in his interviews when he would say that WASP, Winger, Tesla, and RATT were his influences, I thought that was so cool because those were the type of bands my parents raised me on and you would get all these sceny, whiny, fanboys and fangirls being like, "Ewwww, he likes rock, ewwww, he's not a cute emo boy anymore." He really trolled that scene and I loved every moment of it.

i didn't know that I needed this but damn, such a good video. FDTD 'til the moment it's their best album. good lyrics, good sound, good vocal. I know that has some songs that aren't that good, but the ones that are, kick other's song asses. for me 2013 album was the way from danny to say goodbye. even though that the album with dennis it has the old sound of AA, FDTD their best job.
From Death To Destiny is the most mature Asking Alexandria album by a mile. Self-Titled and beyond may be classed as "mature" but they are just bland. This was where they were at a mature stage but also still interesting and powerful and real. Danny sounded and looked like he genuinely went through the wars around this time.
Great work, Mr. Cozy! Even though I don't listen to this type of metal music at all, you still managed to keep it interesting for me. Also, that doctor is so cool!
Totally agree on Break Down the Walls. That was actually the first song I heard from Asking Alexandria, after a friend recommended it to me. ABSOLUTE BANGERRRRRRRRR.

Bro I love this series so much thank you. We're the same age I was there with you in all of this. I love that we have the same knowledge of asking. Keep it up
what’s interesting about Danny’s rock n roll/metal duality is that meanwhile, Andy biersack was starting to be cast typed as the hair metal party guy that danny wanted to probably be. However, Andy’s influences were much more rooted in punk bands and his intention was to be more of a lyricist who spoke about what mattered to him rather than write songs about partying and typical rock and roll cliches.
I remember going to an album signing for FDTD in Jersey I told Danny how much I loved the band he smiled and said “shut up” in a fun and playful manner and agreed to take a picture
For sure from death to destiny is the bands best album sonically in my opinion. It's a perfect blend of all the influences the band has, from Electronica to metalcore to hard rock it all blends fantastically. Loved it since day one and still listen to it more than their other albums. Lyrically its the darkest most honest most painful lyrics they've ever written. It's a serious shame that after this Danny left and rather than everyone taking the time to sort themselves out and fix their issues asking went full middle school drama bullshit after their big breakup, started fucking the rebound girl who was just a generic brand Danny and overall was nothing more than a big brown smear in their history.
Couldn’t agree with this more. Remember being in the minority especially at the time but teenage me (and even now though I haven’t listened to them properly in years) really wanted them to continue with that sound because I hadn’t heard anything else like it
Hey Cozy, will you please do a video on Shayley Bourget or Dayshell? Lots of juicy stories on that topic and I just have a feeling you’d nail it, thanks for all you do and keep up he good work - Mikey Money

Same. Basically all the Denis era as a whole. But If it’s this quality, I’d wait a month if Cozy needs it!
Thank you so much! Waiting to the new chapter 😭
i didn't know that I needed this but damn, such a good video.
Man, you can play Six Degrees with AA into SO many bands' stories, it's insane how they were all over the damn place in the early 10s...
Always a pleasure when the cozy representative uploads!
Thanks for mentioning song The Road, I have the same feelings about it, it defently deserves more credites, such an underrated piece!
this channel deserves to be so much bigger than it is
Seeing Danny add those rock vocals was amazing, not what I wanted to hear at the moment, but they were so impressive.
Funny enough I saw AA open for Shinedown last year, and Danny’s vocals were on point
Dude, you gotta do a BMTH one just like this!!
Totally agree on Break Down the Walls. That was actually the first song I heard from Asking Alexandria, after a friend recommended it to me. ABSOLUTE BANGERRRRRRRRR.
Somebody get a microphone for Cozy. Awesome content as always. Really out did yourself with the lenght and content now did you 😏
I opened RUclips hoping this would be up to surprise me tonight. 🙌
AHHHH you also noticed the similarities between "Moving On" and "Go Your Own Way" when I heard this back in the day i was showing all my friends that
Still love the album tho AA is my favorite
I know many felt like AA were really good but I think they will be remembered for being way worse than people initially thought lol.
oh man! haven't even started yet and i am so excited. READY!
Bro I love this series so much thank you. We're the same age I was there with you in all of this. I love that we have the same knowledge of asking. Keep it up
his book cover looks like the cover of a wattpad story
what’s interesting about Danny’s rock n roll/metal duality is that meanwhile, Andy biersack was starting to be cast typed as the hair metal party guy that danny wanted to probably be.
Thanks for this great video, hope your work is appreciated and noticed cause its awesome to see someone take the time to do something like this.
Mom the cozy representative uploaded a new video!
Hearing about Danny drinking heavily and taking drugs reminds me of Ozzy Osbourne
I remember my mom took me to the Seattle show but couldnt get in because it was already sold out lol what a time to be alive
Remember being in the minority especially at the time but teenage me (and even now though I haven’t listened to them properly in years) really wanted them to continue with that sound because I hadn’t heard anything else like it
I can confirm, that autobiography is massive cocaine brain material.
Believe is actually one of my favourites from FDTD 😂 loving the series, very nostalgic!
Thanks for making these!
Thanks cozy! Amazing video as always!
Hey Cozy, will you please do a video on Shayley Bourget or Dayshell? Lots of juicy stories on that topic and I just have a feeling you’d nail it, thanks for all you do and keep up he good work - Mikey Money
Thank you for including the ISS beef track. I needed that.
Waiting for part 4 🤘🏼
been waiting for this one!
I went back to listen to from death to destiny about a month ago and I was thoroughly impressed from beginning to end. I personally wish they would’ve stayed open string chugging monsters but it wasn’t a bad album at all.
Love this series. So much research you do on these videos
I love these videos! Keep up the good work! Definitely gets me through my work day
