Will Armored Core 6 have Bosses like this?

- The Answerer is my favorite Arms Fort boss fight in the game, it's a bit of a shame it's not particularly hard but I really like the concept.
Here's to hoping that in addition to more mechanics-heavy fights we also get some of these huge spectacular set pieces that make you feel like you're fighting a colossus.
Armored Core 6 can't come soon enough...
#armoredcore #armoredcore6 #fromsoftware
Considering the giant walker in the gameplay trailer, I can safely assume that we'll be facing off against some huge bosses.
Spirit of Motherwill 2
@@SilverGlint One can only hope 😂
@@SilverGlintinda what it looked like tbh. Lol. (Granted all we saw was its massive feet.)
This video certainly has a lot of Kojima energy...
Kojimer pardigle go brrr
I'm fairly certain that from the gameplay footage that's out there, we will definitely be getting the big bun boss fights =).
On another note I really like the clean visual aeasthetics the ac games have despite them all taking place in a post apocalyptic cybernetic corporate nightmare.
Couple that with the weirdly hopeful music and it really makes AC very unique.
They all have this weirdly pleasant contrasting themes of dystopian post apocalyptic technocracy mixed with sports car hope filled childish glee, it's quite something!
God I love this soundtrack. ACfA had some special stuff.
I remember fighting this and trying to break off all the spikes in the center of it with machine gun fire and feeling so much pride when I took it down after several attempts!
Fun note, Ranged weapons normally can't penetrate the invisible shield that surrounds it, forcing you to get in close. However I found The large rear mounted rockets don't have this limitation and allow you to just destroy answerer from a safe distance!
It's such a fundamentally fun aspect of Armored Core getting to know how different people tackle these encounters, goes to show how expressive the games really are! Rockets are pretty strong indeed!
@@SilverGlint from cheesing arms fort by using Kikus and rockets to kojima weapons on multiple NEXT fights.
that or drop the regulations down to default and use the saline multi/split missiles to rekt them fast.
100% I'd love to see colossal armsfort-esc bosses return in 6. The possibilities of what we're going to go against boss wise is the most exciting part to me, both visually and mechanically
Yeah exactly, new hardware should allow for more boss fights that are simultaneously challenging and great to interact with, armored core is prime real estate for bosses that are the stage itself!
@@SilverGlint What would be your dream boss? Would it be something like an Armsfort, a contextually larger "super" mech like blackglint or something alien-esc like a disorder unit from 2?
@@Megalobrohonestly I like all of them, but I'm also a super souls fan, I think something like the big crane robots in Nier Automata but fit for AC mechanics would be brilliant!
Basically a huge arms fort that not only relies on artillery but also a reaction based moveset, mix of pattern reading and projectile dodging in a huge setpiece!
My first time ever fighting The Answerer was so sick i looked up at it and it looked back at me with a barrage of missiles and it was just so crazy to even think thats my target due to its cheer size compared to me, the humming it does used to creep the sht out of me too, almost made me feel like it was alive or suffering in some way ... its was quite the experience for little me
The humming is so ominous. Got to be that kojima reactor doing some shady things
I didn't realize how much of a problem the Answerer was when you try to approach it from the ground. Those laser shots were tracking you hard for a bit. ^
We are for sure getting colossal stuff in AC6.
love the paint sceme. can never get a decent one going
I also hope the ost get songs like these, bring back FreQuency to AC VI
Good news I think Kota Hoshino and Frequency are back!
@@SilverGlint \^-^/
Id have to say "Duh". The gameplay demo that many got to play had one very similar.
Yup
Armored Core is the Metal Gear Rising of Dark Souls games
LMAO that somehow makes sense.
Well to be fair Dark Souls is the Metal Gear Solid of Armored Core games
@@SilverGlint exactly :P
I think they’ll do the style of bosses from V. Using ac4 style hud and “some of the movement from both” rendered in a PlayStation 2 era parts and build. Adding combat learned from everything from soft had made up untill now.
Can't wait to see hot it all shapes up in the end
The boss battle is pretty cool, specially since you synched up the music, too bad the nexts are op and most of the time the battle is shorter
ac6 will have something even better, no doubt
Please god yes
I want to fight the giant earth master from V. Giant AC that can jump and walk slowly.
The weird otherworldly noises this thing makes are so disturbing
I kinda have a hard time siding with the league when they have a weapon like this tbh.
I know right? It's almost like it's alive or it's some kind of alien weapon.
Is this on Normal or Hard? I think that when it's on Hard it lets out more Kojima Particles, basically putting a time limit on your health bar, as well as one-shotting with all Kojima Weapons and two-shotting with its lasers. I wouldn't know personally, sadly.
This is on Normal, everything becomes significantly harder on Hard mode (obviously), so much so I even have trouble getting through some of these missions under an ungodly amount of tries ahaha
@@SilverGlint Lol, makes sense then.
*I sincerely hope not.* No offense but none of the bosses in For Answer were engaging in any way. A giant immobile structure with destroyable sections you had to destroy as fast as possible while projectiles and waves flew at you? There isn't a chance the creator of Sekiro would have let this kind of game design make it off the page.
Fair enough, different strokes for different folks but I think your description comes really close to something like Rykard, Astel and Elden Beast just to name a few of their most recent boss designs, where 85% of the fight is dodging projectiles or hugely telegraphed attacks from hulking beasts. Maybe you also don't really like those? Speaking of Sekiro, Divine Dragon also rings some of these bells... There's enough room for all sorts of experiences, it's up to them to deliver what they think is best for the setting!
@@SilverGlint This fight is far more similar to Elden Rings walking Mausoleums. I highlighted Sekiro because notice there was nothing like this in that game. This is a man of action. Whose mechanical game design went far beyond "Are you capable of moving your character properly and hitting the hotspots or die." It's not that he wouldn't allow a giant structure like The Answerer exist as an entity, just it's going to interact with the player in ways that make you actually look at what is happening in some meaningful way.
@@Vespyr_ In that sense for sure I mean I think it's logical to assume they will build on top of existing concepts, but I also think you shouldn't expect anything similar to what is present in Sekiro, I will be willing to bet there won't be deflections of any kind going on, but to be honest if you strip that away you're left once again with a game that very much so relies on movement above everything else and timing, reflexes and memorization second- which kinda is how all of these games play too? I don't know I think it's safe to assume they'll look at something like the answerer and look towards evolving the boss fight in different ways but there's also not much more they can do per se without removing completely the context of what you're actually playing?
Excited to find out though, maybe we will be deflecting huge laser swords that would be sick
