    I'm an Inter supporter and I'm from Italy so I can say this to you. You guys kind of exagerated certain things and there were some translation mistakes. the 2 big ones were 1 when he says he's not happy about his current situation he didn't sound to me like he was referring to Tuchel,it is not definetely maybe he really meant Tuchel who knows but more probably he meant the injury or himself for not performing. 2 he says that he hopes to come back to Inter when he's still at a high level! You guys translated Top Level. also this interview was 3 weeks ago so he hasn't gone mad. Anyway this is just what I got from the clips of the interview. There is still no full interview out
    edit: one day later: Look everybody this was when it was still just clips,quotes,editing magic and the whole thing wasn't out. So after I saw the whole thing. What do I say? First off Tuchel's tactics which the whole UK is blaming him for. He wasn't happy JUST for that! He talked about his fitness in the sentence JUST before! And also in the whole 30 min. interview he talked about Tuchel 3 times in under 1 min. ? I would be more upset about the rest which was all about Inter Inter Inter he went on and on about Inter,it was a love letter basically and you don't do that in these circumstances. I thought of him being naive for doing this at all and he was laughing and joking,it seemed like he was at a friends party here and there,so on some sentences he wasn't serious. The details of his transfer where more interesting for us than for you. He could have kept for himself the low-excuse of the renew of his contract ... (and I had it with the racist campaign against our owners). About Inter fans it's kind of a split 80-20 ratio of "you can stay there" and "ok come back" and I'm on the 80% side. To wrap this all up well we certainly gave the world 2 of the most unique drama queens that ever lived. We exported Icardi to PSG and Lukaku to Chelsea. I hope you can deal with it yourself. happy new year

      firstly , see the contradictions in ur own statements. on one hand u say 'translation mistake', then u r urself unsure what he means. the literal translation is correct, and that is what we are all talking about. whatever he means, it is difference in interpretation, not translation.
      he is not a 23 24 yr old guy. he is freaking 28, the prime for a striker. chelsea bought him for 5 yrs. so either we let him go at 33, thats not really high level for most strikers ( maybe he can be the exception like lewa or benz etc). or u guys buy him for cheap in a yr or two because he isnt happy here. so what did we get?? an unhappy player who just cost us a loss of maybe 30-40m.. so much for 'finishing his career at chelsea'.
      lastly, u fail to see the context here. lukaku is not like other strikers because he has always, i mean ALWAYS, said about playing for chelsea, it was his dream, he has 'unfinished business' etc. then not even 6 months, and he is talking about returning. Did u guys love it when he kept saying he loved inter, and then two days later, he said publicly he always wanted to play for chelsea, and kinda forced the move??

  • @anurag1588
    @anurag1588 2 года назад +150

    Yeah, the context is necessary but not when it's to do with Utd. "My heart's in Inter", "I would like to come back to Inter, in my prime" those are pretty clear and straight forward words. It's funny, all this talk of context and tabloid media, when just yesterday ESPN went in with a TABLOID story about how Utd players are not happy with Ralf etc when no one had said anything remotely close.

    • @ozzyphil74
      @ozzyphil74 2 года назад +3

      They reported that it was news from the UK media (read Tabloids) which while they read reacted to it, put some context as it wasn't sourced by themselves. People tend to hide when giving these tabloid statements as would be the case if a player chose to moan. Albeit, without sourcing it is impossible to know if the story was true or factually reported.
      This is a completely different situation. There is an interview that will be aired, so unless the interview is edited, it will be easy to judge what is spin and what is fact. Even an interview can have misleading headlines about it.

    I get Gabs point of not judging before he sees the full clip.
    But he's defending Lukaku too much. It was stupid of him to make comments like that knowing it was Sky media, you can't misquote his criticism of Tuchel playing a different setup/system, he was implying that he has not gotten what he was told by Tuchel, under any context that's still unacceptable of him to say. That should have been a thought that he should directly take on with the manager, not openly demonstrating your frustration towards Tuchel so openly. Plus him talking about inter, I'd understand if he was just praising and showing his love towards the club that he became successful at. Just showing support. But he's openly flirting with them at the expense of Chelsea and the 100m he was bought in for. What makes it worse is Chelsea's recent form and the moment these comments have officially been posted, his own form has been very debatable considering what he was expected to be playing and outputting. 'smart' players doesnt mean that he'll always do everything right, but this was a howler from him and a humiliation to Chelsea. Not even 6months in and already criticising the manager, and flirting with the club he just directly left. Going back to them at still his prime, meaning he could be looking for a way out of Chelsea in the coming months/next year. He goes in about being "professional", it's like he just mentions that to make himself believe he's not doing anything wrong.
    When the full interview gets released, I doubt there will be much context added to defend his comments but if I am really wrong in this view and there really is much context which makes all his points acceptable, I'll understand and take back my words. Shocking to see especially when he said it's his dream of coming back to Chelsea and Drogba being an idol he wanted to aim for.

Or the situation of how he is being played at Chelsea? Because it is not clear and the fact that this interview is not released in full.
    With his heart still at winter, come on, we don’t expect Romelu to be hating at Inter especially for what it has done for him. And it doesn’t mean he is not loyal to Chelsea, Inter are not even rivals to Chelsea.

    This felt like a warning shot to Tuchel and based on Tuchel's reaction I think that's exactly what it was.
    When Chelsea was struggling a year ago the first person to go was Lampard. Managers will get replaced if their teams are supposed to be top of the league but they aren't producing and as of late this team has been failing to produce. Playing people like Pulisic at the false 9 is just braindead, he's a fantastically talented player and when he's out wide he can make magic happen, but he doesn't have a body for that position. When choices like that are being made and they aren't working, I think criticism is fair.

    • @adebowaleademola-thomas3776

      Reason for playing Pulisic as a false 9 was because we havertz, Lukaku and Werner weren't available. Lukaku issues are him thinking that the Tuchel tactics should change to accommodate him instead of him having to adapt to the way the team plays. Now the selfish and stupidity was airing his frustration in public. Lukaku is basically telling Roman, Tuchel tactics aren't good enough.

    Sadly Italy is his level he can try all he like he can't become a top player in England. It's too hard for him with his atrocious first touch. He still has his pace once he loses that like Aubameyang he is done for. He is doing the right thing better start buttering up the top team in Italy which is his level so he can finally retire there in one year's time.

    First of all, Lukaku is so unprofessional in his comments. I don't care about the context. It's irrelevant here. Speaking openly to any mainstream media against your new club and praising your former club at the same time is purely disrespectful. But that's just how rude and careless some modern players have become. Yes, we have them at Man United also. The modern footballer feels so entitled. Money and fame has made them think they're bigger and more important than their employers. I really wonder who they hire as advisors!!!

    He's upset because he didn't want to come to Chelsea. Irrespective of what he has said to the media. The bottom line is he was our last choice in terms of bringing a CF into the club and he knows this. He wants us to play to his strengths instead of him adapting as a player and doing what's required of him. He may have been told he'd be used in a different way but its irrelevant he's paid to play the way manager wants. End of. Get on with it. Don't throw your toys out the pram especially when the team is filled with players under the age of 25 that would be influenced with these situations.

Why on earth would lukaku say he wants to go back to inter “not when I’m older, but in my prime”? How can that even be taken out of context at all? What context makes that okay?
