I watched 2 Chelsea matches in the past 300 and something days. First time it was under Conte close to the end of the last season season, second time was yesterday. Kante's performance is night and day. Sarri knew he lost the game after Gundogan's goal and gave up which is a terrible attitude. There's 90 minutes on the clock, not 25. Sarri should have switched to 3 at the pack, sub in Kovacic much earlier and go all out.
Why would Sarri change anything at half time? The game was already lost, might as well use the rest of the game to practice the 4-3-3 that Chelsea always use. The dumb thing about Craig's statement is, the first 3 goals were terrible individual errors that gifted the game to City. Without those 3 errors, for example: if Chelsea have 35% possession and lose 2-0, this game is written off as growing pains in Sarri's new system. But since the scoreline was so large, everyone jumps to criticize Sarri. It's just like how you don't blame Conte against Barcelona when Cortious can't keep his legs closed. My only frustration with Sarri is his lack of rotation with players like Hudson-Odoi and Emerson. Look at prime Barca; Xavi and Iniesta didn’t just run around and attack all day, they worked hard to press and close down and got into shape when they needed to. Same with De Bruyne and Silva now at City. If Jorginho keeps on getting exposed, then surely questions need to be asked of Kante and Barkley or Kovavic’s work and positioning out of possession? Don’t get me wrong, Chelsea aren’t good enough to play how they want against everyone and expect to win, but looking at that midfield and it’s clear that some players either don’t know where they should be, or they just can’t be bothered to be where they should be.
You better hope Aguero gets injured again before that next game. The only reason City didn't punish Chelsea when they were battering them for those first forty minutes is because they didn't have a real CF to finishing things up inside the box.

Trying to pick through individual goals to make the point that in another day that Chelsea could have kept it at 0-0 through twenty minutes is missing the point. I could point out that it could have been eight or nine had City been more clinical, where Aguero had the worst miss of the entire season. I watched 2 Chelsea matches in the past 300 and something days. First time it was under Conte close to the end of the last season season, second time was yesterday. Kante's performance is night and day. Sarri knew he lost the game after Gundogan's goal and gave up which is a terrible attitude. There's 90 minutes on the clock, not 25. Sarri should have switched to 3 at the pack, sub in Kovacic much earlier and go all out.
Why would Sarri change anything at half time? The game was already lost, might as well use the rest of the game to practice the 4-3-3 that Chelsea always use.
The dumb thing about Craig's statement is, the first 3 goals were terrible individual errors that gifted the game to City. Without those 3 errors, for example: if Chelsea have 35% possession and lose 2-0, this game is written off as growing pains in Sarri's new system. But since the scoreline was so large, everyone jumps to criticize Sarri. It's just like how you don't blame Conte against Barcelona when Cortious can't keep his legs closed.
My only frustration with Sarri is his lack of rotation with players like Hudson-Odoi and Emerson.

Look at prime Barca; Xavi and Iniesta didn’t just run around and attack all day, they worked hard to press and close down and got into shape when they needed to. Same with De Bruyne and Silva now at City. If Jorginho keeps on getting exposed, then surely questions need to be asked of Kante and Barkley or Kovavic’s work and positioning out of possession?
